This is a beer lover’s dream! The husband and wife team are very knowledgeable and are fun to talk to! My new haven!

My sister has been raving about Craft Conundrum for years now, so it was fitting that Charleston Girls Pint Out was having an event during my last visit. We walked in and asked around to see where we should sit, then made ourselves comfortable on the worn sofas as we waited for the GPO-ers to show. The bartenders helped us decide on a beer to pass the time(Avery Brewing’s Vanilla Bean Stout) and then served our party with personal flights for the chocolate pairing event. We sampled the River Rat Lost Port Porter, Bell’s Consecrator Doppelbock, River Dog Imperial Perkolatte, and Foothills Sexual Chocolate. Apparently, they had changed over a bunch of the taps that day and worked closely with the GPO girls to find appropriately chocolatey beers. There were a lot of other people there during our stay but it was never rowdy or too loud. Even though we had about a dozen people scattered over 3 couches and numerous chairs, it felt intimate and cozy. The beer menu is extensive and gives detailed information — not just the name and the brewery, but the state, abv, and much more information. I was really impressed with the bartenders’ knowledge and passion for beer; that’s not something you find even at every small bar. I wish we had a place like this in CT!

There really is nothing that compares to Craft Conundrum when it comes to beer selection. Over 100 beers on tap, always beers you have never seen before. A great spot to get a growler filled or grab a beer. Karen and Richard are the best owners and bartenders going, and know how to point you in the right beer direction if you get overwhelmed by the selection.

Excellent little spot that we happened upon prior to a cruise we were in town to go on. Many options on draft, cozy and welcoming inside. Owner clearly has dedication to craft beverages that borders on obsession! Has his own unique way to tap a keg which ensures each beer you order is fresh and clean and never mixed with another flavor from the lines. No kitchen in the place to order food, however, they do have food trucks come by as well as allowing customers to order take out for delivery to their place.

Fun place with a games, live music, and a good selection of beer! My group of friends went on a Friday night and had a good time playing a round of Cards against Humanity while trying different beers. Would return!

What a fantastic place for a beer! A true gem that should be enjoyed by everyone!!! We went here after dinner and couldn’t have asked for a better time. The service was friendly and knowledgeable. They were able to recommend very good craft beers to two people that don’t know a whole lot about beers. The live music was excellent. We listened to Seth Logan for a couple hours and enjoyed every cover and original that he played. Definitely look forward to coming back the next time we are in Charleston.

Heard that this was the craft beer spot in the charleston area. They had some good hard to find beers. They had Westbrook Mexican cake on tap. The owners are real cool. It is in a strip mall, no outdoor seating. They do have comfortable furniture to sit.

My boyfriend found this bar listed on Beer Advocate as a great place to hang out and drink great beer in Charleston. And as usual, the BA community got it right. Craft Conundrum is in the end of a strip mall with plenty of parking. The space is super clean and comfortable with couches and tables to hang out at(think coffee shop style). They have a zillion beers on tap — and yes, that’s my official count. Everything is reasonably priced and they have both full and half pours in addition to flights. If you know beer, this place will have new stuff for you to try. If you don’t know beer, just chat with Richard behind the bar. He and his wife own the place and they know their stuff. We went in last night for a beer and wound up staying for hours and learning a ton about beer and how this place manages to do what it does. It is obvious they take pride in running a great beer bar. Everyone was incredibly nice and it was the perfect night to end our trip to Charleston. We will definitely return when we’re in the area next! And if you’re local, go give Craft Conundrum your money. They deserve it.

Craft Conundrum is a really great addition to West Ashley. They’ve been open a little over a year now. They always have beer(100+ on tap), a great variety, and they will do a half-pour or a flight of 4 if you want to try a few beers. Now, I’m really not a huge beer person, and only an occasional drinker, but my husband and I frequent CC on the weekends and always have a good time. On the weekends, Craft Conundrum has live music and food trucks. It’s fun to hang out, have a beer and some food, and listen to the music. They have some board and card games you can play and sports on the TVs. The owners are very friendly and there’s plenty of parking, although you may have to park at the other end of the shopping center and walk because it gets packed on the weekends.

By far the best craft beer house in Charleston. Not only are there amazing sips but talented knowledgable staff… You ask. They tell. Great locale away from the hustle of downtown. Plenty of parking Fun hangout for groups. I’ll be a regular here.

Easily the best craft beer place I have been to, and I’ve been to A LOT. I spent six years in the Northwest where craft beer is king and these guys are doing it right. They typically have food trucks Thursday through Saturday so even though there isn’t a menu, you can probably get fed pretty easily. They tend to book the better local trucks around so you should be able to get a decent meal. If not, hey, go to Zen’s first around the corner and head to Craft afterwards! The atmosphere is awesome as well; two comfy«gaming» type tables with couches and chairs, perfect to occupy with a large crowd, some two or three seater tables near the window, and the bar stools. They just started open mic Wednesdays, and will usually have live music on Fri/Sat. Best of all, the owners and bartenders know you by name. If you want a particular style of beer, they will discuss with you exactly what you want and go find it. They won’t necessarily find the most expensive beer on the menu, either. They will go for what you want(and there are some expensive pours! but they are usually worth it!). The tap system is ridiculous and they will straight up tell you if they don’t like a beer. They fill 32 and 64 oz growlers as well. Bottom line, come here. Family joint, locally owned, local pours on tap right up front, and mysterious and magical back rooms with dozens of other taps. The selection is enormous and you will find something you like.

This place is great. It’s all about the beer here, 140 – 180 types on tap at all times. Any type you could hope for and Richard can tell you all about each one. It has a nice friendly atmosphere, super comfy chairs and couches for lounging. Frequent live music and a new open mic night, good time! Festive but not blaringly loud. If we were local we’d be regulars. They do not serve food but you’re welcome to BYO and they list nearby restaurants who will deliver. Cool spot, go check them out.

Friendly staff and knowledgable of Craft beer. They literally caused a conundrum because they have 120+ craft beers on tap. Let alone, the bar tender was really funny and could be classified as a «pun master». I had a blast here and it will not be my last visit. Far from it! Also, they sell retail brew and have live music. Lastly, BRINGYOUROWNFOODNIGHT! Perfect for when the wife has plans and I need to bring some Chinese take out and get my beer on. MUSTTRY!

Richard and his wife a super friendly and down to earth people that will let you try most any beers you want in here. They have a ton of local beers from Frothy Beard, WestBrook, Coast, Freehouse Brewery, and several other regional beers available on tap. But they have a lot more on the beer menu you get when you arrive. I will be back here soon to try some more craft beers.

This is probably the best craft beer bar I’ve ever been to, quality wise, including some of the brewery showcases(Odells, New Belgium, Equinox etc.) in Colorado and elsewhere that also serve outstanding beers. I’ve just started exploring the selections at CC so this is not a comprehensive review, but the beers my wife and I have tasted have uniformly been excellent. Particularly good are the Belgian choices – Tripels and Quadrupels as well as the IPAs. At this point they have over 150 beers available on tap. They offer beer flights – at $ 10 for four 5 oz glasses. I was impressed the methods they use to keep their taps and lines clean and free of yeast and mold. We were there several times over the weekend and enjoyed the food trucks that were deployed outside – Zombie Bobs pizza, with enormous, high quality slices, and Hot Links Homemade Sausage, which included vegan/vegetarian options. Also nice was hearing good music playing live…

One of the best beer selections in Charleston. Its great to see so many SC beers on tap! Friends and I stopped by and each got a flight of beers(4 samples), even with 12 beers we barley made a dent in the 100+ beers on tap. I look forward to coming back with my growler and getting a fill.
