This Moon Valley Nursery is great. Michelle Gallagher provided excellent customer service. She recognized us right away and offered her services. She was extremely knowledgable of all of the plants and trees and very friendly. There is such a large selection of every kind of plant, and trees and it can easily get overwhelming, but she asked the right questions of us to narrow down what we wanted… making our plant buying experience nice and easy.

This is a great place to purchase a plant or tree of any kind. I personally came here to buy a small tree so that I could turn it into a bonsai tree. I called beforehand and spoke with Glenn, who is an expert on the subject. He was extremely helpful and friendly and took the time to help me find a tree I liked and told me the necessary information so that I could get started with my bonsai. Overall I would totally recommend this place to anybody, I had a very positive experience, and Glenn is your man if you need to know anything about Bonsais or any other plant related information!

My first visit to an Arizona nursery since moving here from San Francisco last month! So excited to see what desert gardening is all about1
First the selection of pottery will delight your eyes, and seems to be on 50% markdown regularly! Great color choices and some nice glazed fire pits!
There are serious trees here-​with a you buy it and we (Moon Nurseries) deliver and plant it. If I want to buy a tree this seems like the place to do it.
We worked with Michelle Gallagher, one of the landscape designers. We aren’t doing an entire yard yet, just some fun large pots, but Michelle took us on a great tour of all the fun native grasses and cacti and I love the info she gave us about growing roses here in AZ as well!

Called one day and John was great! He came out to my house, same day and gave great advice on trees as well as pricing. Paid about $ 1800 for 9 trees, planted, staked, and guaranteed for a year. My only complaint and reason for ⁴⁄₅ stars is the lack of communication. We were scheduled two weeks out from the purchase date and the morning of our scheduled day of planting, I had to call Them to find out what time. Made me stressed for a little bit but all ended up being ok.
Sergio’s team came and were very professional and fast. Friendly guys! Trees look awesome!

Moon Valley just won my business for life. Back in May I purchased 4 Giant Ash trees and had them deliver and plant them. Through the hot months I have nursed all 4 trees with fertilizer, water, and care. But one didn’t make it. When I purchased, I got the money back guarantee, but worried it would be impossible to actually use. I just called and they pulled my account, saw the purchase and that I had called previously and purchased the supplements they suggested. «Just come down and pick out a new tree» was the response. That’s it. No having to prove I watered (which my bill would prove), no other hoops. Just come pick out a new tree. I am thrilled that it is going to be that easy! Thank you Moon Valley. I already knew I loved your selection of plants, your great products, and your knowledgeable staff, but once again you exceeded my expectations! Thank you.

I wanted to get some flowers to fill a few pots I had. Donna Veyette was wonderful. She spent so much time with me helping select flowers and arranged them for me so that when I got home I would know exactly where to place them in my pots. I truly appreciate her time and effort. I know where I’ll be shopping whenever I need some more flowers and plants.

All I can say is that Chandler’s Moon Nursery designer, Kristen, is amazing! She should be president of the company! Her customer service is best in any business. She is highly skilled and extremely talented. She took a bare backyard and turned it into something I wasn’t sure we would be able to achieve. Her patience and the time she spends with you is beyond the call of duty. She was here late the night before they planted our trees making sure everything was ready to go and that the placement would be just right. She also planted some plants in pots for me to hide our ugly pool pipes. Her eye for detail is second to none. She set us up to build on what we did today so that eventually we will have an even more beautiful backyard. The time she spends making sure you are happy and satisfied is unheard of in the sales and services industry. She should teach other businesses how to create loyal, long term customers, because she definitely created extreme loyalty from us. She also needs a huge raise because she is probably way underpaid for what she is worth to this company. Thanks again, Kristen and Moon Nurseries! (The John and the guys who planted the trees were great, as well! Very professional and accommodating.)

We bought trees from them. They delivered them. The trees lived and are becoming bigger trees.

I’ve been going here for Christmas trees for a few years now and have always been impressed with the service from all employees.
Recently went here looking for some plants for the gardening bug I’ve caught and was immediately approached by Joshua Grabenbauer asking if I needed help with anything. We started chatting it up about gardening and looked at some of the pepper plants in stock. He also recommended the Southeast Valley Gardening Club on FB.
Once again at the checkout I was impressed by the helpfulness of the staff at the counter when I asked about good screening plants for AZ. Great staff and huge selection, I would recommend this place any day.

Staff was very helpful! We bought a desert Museum tree and in Lemmontree. They planned it and gave helpful tips. Two years later, both trees have grown exactly as the nursery described. We are very happy with the selection, customer service and expertise of Moon Valley.

I’m happy. Finally got my braided ficus tree. It’s always hit or miss at lowes/​Home Depot. Occasionally those places will have ONE. I’m glad I got mine here. I had about 50 to choose from. Pretty pottery, but they had the same one I had just bought at Home Depot priced $ 100 more.
This place is big. Go on a day when it’s nice outside. They have wagons for the kids and you could spend hours walking around here. We’ll be back for more.

Kristen V. was knowledgeable, thorough, and thoughtful in finishing the design of a very extensive flower bed that was built. I recommend her highly if you need an area designed on your property.

As we are prospectively landscaping our backyard, we went to this location and were greeted very friendly and were shown a variety of plants that could possible meet our needs. Being new to landscaping, I can’t comment much on the pricing, but the selection and service was very good.

We have redone our entire front yard, as well as our back yard, and have had a ton of questions because this is our first time doing landscaping and updating a home.
They were great with the tons of questions we have had, and have always had answers for us. we will defiantly be back!

Great customer service. Being new to the state and not familiar at all with the vegetation here, I asked the gentleman that helped me a million questions and he answered each in depth until I understood what I needed to know.
I was able to buy the items I wanted with the confidence that I knew where to plant them and how to take care of them.

After their location on Chandler Blvd near the mall closed down, we started visiting this location and have been very satisfied. We always get our seasonal potted flowers and Christmas tree from them. They may not be the cheapest but the Christmas trees are never dried out or crushed like they are at the big box stores. They keep them on small stands with the trunk in water and the branches spread out and full so you can see the shape easily. They cut a couple inches of the trunk for you and attach it to your car for free (they do take tips). If you sign up on their mailing list you’ll get coupons every year to get $ 10 off your tree.
A couple years ago we also purchased a couple of fairly mature shade trees for our rental property. They helped to pick out what would be the best variety and took care of the delivery and planting. One of the trees thrived and the other did not do so well. I agree with some of the other reviewers that they were a little reluctant to honor the replacement guarantee. But the good thing was that they gave us a liquid fertilizer to try for free and that did the trick since it is still alive. But it was pretty sickly for a long time and I would have preferred to just replace it so hence the minus one star.
