Learn how to take down fucking order. I had to repeat my order multiple times and yet the work still had problems. Nothing against the man, but he can learn to smile once in a while and not shrug when asked for fucking condiments.

AVOID this location service is the WORST !!! I was helped by the young girl with the big mole on her forehead as i was ordering at the drive thru and it looks like she hates her job ! When asking a question about the menu she annoyingly answered and since i didn’t have my glasses i couldn’t read the menu . Not to mention it wasn’t busy at all and it took forever for my order to be ready at the drive thru But of course a lot of ladies chit chatting in the back and not even trying to get the orders done fast! I hope the manager really cares about the feedback because this place is a joke and of course she’s loosing costumers because this place always looks empty… Never coming here again… I PASS! Boo!

I’ve been going here for years. Ever since my teen years. I never wrote a review cause, I mean. it’s a Wendy’s. The service hasn’t been exceptionally bad. But… this is what happened. Friday night, I came here and ordered a meal. A spicy chicken sandwich meal with fries. Come 1 am, my stomach wakes me up cause I was in a lot of pain. I asked my boyfriend to please get me some tums. I took some and burped out some acidic gas. Then… it finally hits me, I get up, not knowing which end would have something come out of. I had massive diarrhea and I thought, ok, that should be the end of it. I got back into my room and sat for a bit. But wait. THERE’S MORE! I pushed my boyfriend out of the way, ran back into the bathroom and heaved out that spicy chicken sandwich. And oh man did it burn… spicy and vomit… there goes my esophagus. Definitely an unpleasant experience and def. learned my lesson to not get fast food anymore. After my episode, I laid in bed with my tummy still aching. The next day, my boyfriend’s stomach starts hurting. Although he wasn’t as extreme as me, he still had acidic gas after taking the tums. We didnt’ eat anything else after the Wendy’s.

Ordered food at drive thru. No utensils provided(chili, baked potato, salad and double double with fries) eat with your hands??? They also shorted the fries part of the burger meal. They gave it to the person ahead of me.

You know what to expect. Junior bacon is a good way to go. The frys are almost always undercooked. The chocolate frosty is bomb. They have a smart coke machine. Right on the boulevard… Easy on off for the freeway. Decent spot.

This place is a joke. Worst service ever. If I could rate zero zero zero zero I would. The manager little Chinese or whatever she is sucks!!! She is beyond rude she should be working behind a door. She is fat and ugly and a b!!! Also the counter lady keep making your 8 dollars and hour Guadalupe you fat ass b!!! You people suck and I’ll never come back and I’ll tell everyone that your place sucks. I went to corporate about my last visit and if I could I would have all you fired and I would run this place way better. Learn how to treat customers cause guess what karma will come to you. Be warned people this place worse service.

Good food, usually get it fast, restrooms clean, beware of the lunch hour rush on a weekday you gets kids from school in there and you have to wait longer than usual and it gets pretty full in there

The worst service ever, they messed up my order and then did not want to replace my food or refill my drink. I found hair in my food, buyers be aware! The short Mexican lady manger that works nights at 9:35pm on Mondays is the worst.

It’s 10:30 pm and I’m picking up food on the way back home from work. Usually the staff at Wendy’s are friendly and helpful so I noticed the tired, «I don’t want to be here» attitude that was exuding from the drive-thru employee. But it’s fine, I’m just picking up food, not to get a pep talk, so I promptly leave her to take care of the cars behind me. Then it hit me: she never asked me what kind of sauce I wanted for my nuggets. So I parked and dug through my bag. No sweet and sour, no BBQ, no honey mustard. No problem, I thought, I’ll just go ask for one. Before I go on, I’ve been patronizing this particular Wendy’s for years. I lived half my life in Castro Valley on Stanton Ave and two of my friends had worked at this Wendy’s in High School. I know their policies more than I should. The drive-thru is packed by now and I need to get going. I notice an employee sitting around talking to another employee. I knock on the door in hopes that maybe one can come up and at least ask what I need. Both look at me then look away. I knock again and try to signal my need for my sweet and sour sauce. They stare at me. By this point I’m playing charades with them. I mean, is it really that hard for them to come up to the door? They didn’t even have to open it, just close enough so that they can hear me yell«I NEEDMYSAUCE». They make a shrugging motion. After about a minute, the manager pokes her head out from the counter. I’m thinking, «Finally, actual help.» Nope, she makes the same, shoulders-up-head-down-hands-up shrugging motion as the employees. How helpful. I work in the thankless service industry, too. I know how it can be. However, it doesn’t take much to tell me «sorry, we can help you because we are closed» in person. Instead I stand around helpless with the employees refusing to acknowledge me in a dignified way. Way to go, Wendy’s.

I had a tough time to get the burgers with the restaurant closed and had to make it back the drive way after 10:30. P.m. I tried their chicken burgers(breast portions) and they were amazingly good. Done to perfection. They are amazing.

I know they are known for super fast food being served and ready before you even leave the counter/get to the window lol but seriously the night-time crew has GOT to do a better job not being lazy about making the food. Sometimes when I’m going home from the club I want some Wendy’s. Couple nights ago I went and I knew it was like 15 mins to closing so I made sure to ask for«Hot fries» with my order, which in MY mind(and everyone else’s I assume) means FRESHFRIES. I taste some fries while going down the street and my face instantly twists. Why did those mfer’s give me fries that had CLEARLY been sitting there a while, just RE-FRIED?! That is NOTWHAT I MEANTBY «HOT» FRIES. You could clearly taste how unfresh they were. And by this time I am already getting home, and they are about to close so it’s not like I can turn around and rush back. Yes I called the next day, yes I appreciate that the manager was able to fix the problem and replace my meal, but that’s not the point. I don’t care if it’s 1:57AM(they close at 2AM), YOURADVERTISEDHOURSENDSAT2AM, DON’T GETMUTHAF****** LAZYJUSTBECAUSEIT’S LATE. We get that it’s about time to close, so maybe the meat for the burgers and sandwiches may not be the HOTTEST they can be, but YOUNEEDTOATLEASTHAVEMUTHAF******* FRESHFRIESFORTHE F****** CUSTOMERSWHOARESTILLPAYINGFULLPRICEFORTHEWHOLEMEAL. Or how about just making everything half off if you don’t feel like operating at 100% after 1AM every night? Don’t make the customer suffer. And I’m only so passionate because I’ve noticed this quite a few times now with this location. I shouldn’t have to be forced to only visit Wendy’s during the daytime. P. S. — They need to axe the creepy pre-recorded voice asking about featured products. I always flatly say«no» everytime.

Still love this place but the long, slow line at the drive-thru is making me drop this to 4 stars. 4 stars is still awesome so I am feeling good about this review, I just cannot keep a five star review for a place that gives me a little frustration during any part of the process. The service is still excellent as well as the staff, it just takes a little too long at the drive-thru.

So bad tonight, they were so busy and understaffed or need more training. Super slow, only 2 groups ahead of us and we were waiting in like for almost 15 minutes, then a lady cuts us off to say that they found a hair in her hamburger… that was it for me.

They have good burgers, fries and frosties here. Subtract one star for the creepy voice recording at the drive thru. I prefer a live person to ask me what I want to order, thank you.

This won’t be a long review because of it being Wendy’s I have not been here since they actually had steak fries, man do I miss thee’ somehow I think Burger King sends over thier french fries they taste act the same as burger kings fries, Wendys fries are now just«so so» I ordered a chicken sandwich, which was«A-OK» cooked out, not too tasty I guess. What can I say abou the soda, the same 5 selections they’ve had here for decades, the place was clean and orderly as usual. Its convienent right off the freeway. it’s not rocket science, but I probably would have gone to Habit Burger if there was one, its alot better then Wendys

This is more of a comment on the Wendy’s chain in general, but I will comment on the Castro Valley location specifically as well. I’m pretty convinced that a low carb, high fat(not trans fat) diet is the healthiest diet, so if I don’t have time to cook something; I will come here and get a triple Baconator with no buns, and no ketchup. Decent value for the price. The Castro Valley location seems to be able for the most part to accommodate these orders, even though they are specialized.

Take this review in context that it is Wendy’s. I base my expectations on what I expect from Wendys and I’m not comparing them to burger places that are not fast food and in a different category. The staff is always fast and efficient and pleasant at this location. The dining room is always clean. The food is what I expect from Wendy’s. If I want fast food I’ll usually choose Wendy’s for some fast cheap food. I’m a fan! Their 2.99 combo meals can’t be beat as far as value. Don’t sleep on the baked potato, the chili, and the frostys.
