We used to enjoy breakfast here when we passed through. Reading the reviews, maybe they had a bad day. Cold food, items left out, hair in food, attitude when asked to sit at a different table than the hostess chose (they weren’t busy). Won’t go back, should have chosen the Cracker boc.

A good part of the reason I love Heidi’s is the fact I’ve been coming here since I was kid. I remember coming her with my dad way back when, passing through Carson on a camping trip or vacation, then going to Heidi’s as college student for a hungover breakfast.
I used to go to the Reno location as much as I did the Carson one, but sadly it moved then closed down. BUMMER
Nostalgia aside, Heidi’s still has it. Spunky waitresses, great breakfasts and old school charm.
The best item on the menu in my humble opinion are the waffles.
Best damn waffles this side of anywhere.
Affordable, fun, good food, I just love this place. Wish they still had a Reno location, but it’s worth the occasional trip to Carson for a late breakfast even now.

From our experience the bad reviews are not warranted. The price is in line with every other place we eat, but the serving size is out of this world. My husband said by far best omelette he has had in Carson Valley. I messed up and read my menu wrong. I thought I was ordering eggs Benedict with a country gravy biscuit on the side but it came with a biscuit eggs and gravy on top. I was disappointed but it was my error. Sarah our server worked so hard to try and make me happy, even made me a side Benedict when I did not ask. The home frys or country potatoes were fabulous. This place is great and we will for sure be back. Cracker Barrel lost out because of renovations today.

Great breakfasts. Been coming here once in a while for the last 43 years. Lots of food for the money, good place for families. Service was excellent, very friendly and attentive. Huge menu for breakfast. 4.5 stars.

We had a great experience here during the Nevada Day Parade. Apreal was our server and she was awesome. Extremely friendly while working the busy tables. The food was great as always. We will definitely keep coming back.

We LOVE Heidi’s! Probably stop in at least 2 – 3 times a month for breakfast and occasionally breakfast for lunch ;) One of the best breakfast places in the area. Amazing crepes, great chicken-​fried steak, DELICIOUS, fluffy pancakes and the BEST Eggs Benedict I have ever had ANYWHERE! The servers always remember us and are all very friendly and nice, even when the place is packed. Oh, and the coffee? Farmer Bros. and it is AWESOME.

The food was mediocre, certainly not worth the price but not terrible either. The service, however, was another story. When we could get our server to come to the table, she had a bad attitude.

Not so great service and good was not good! I’d rather go to red hit or stay in gardnerville and go to cowboy café. I didn’t like the service at all! In case you couldn’t tell, I’m huge on service! Bad service=crappy tip! Just sayin! We won’t be going there again.
