Staff is friendly. Ordered a half Wing it & half Nacho pizza, both toppings mixed well with a good spicy flavor. Also, the Malbec & Moosedrool were tasty with the pizza.

They used to have a location in Reno and it was our favorite pizza place. Now it’s our«go-to» in Carson City.

We love this place. I have seen the negative reviews and I agree that it takes time. But have you seen what they do for your meats etc? They are doing wonderful things to the ingredients before they go on the pizza. So ok it’s going to take awhile. If you want a quick fast food pizza then you know where to go. We always start with the pear Gorgonzola walnut salad(see pic). The pears are always perfectly ripe. Always a real treat! And next we usually have the Chrissies favorite. But we substitute the Basque deli chorizo for the pepperoni. After the salads, a small pizza is plenty for us.(See pic). Always delicious. And Wednesday is half off all wines. Either glass or bottle. I chose the Fiddletown Zin. One of my fav’s. I’m so happy this place is in Carson.

The pizza was absolutely amazing here! Our server was fairly friendly, but she didn’t really come out to check on how we were doing and when I asked her for a refill, I guess a pepper had fallen from my pizza into my drink and she left it there, refilled my cup and brought it back. Overall I’m definitely going to eat here again. I fee like the service could’ve been a bit better though.

Average overpriced pizza. Wings average and not worth the 30 minute wait. Service was horrendous not one time were we asked if we needed anything.

Went for lunch with friends. The atmosphere is cute and quaint. The owner was also the waiter, and he did a great job. The personal pizza was a little smaller than I was anticipating, but it was tasty. The price is what surprised me. About $ 12 for a small personal pizza and a water. I will probably go back to give it one more shot, but it isn’t high on the list at this time.

The one star is for the ambiance and the buzz I got off the cheap wine. Im pretty sure I was served a combo digiorno pizza. We also ordered a thin crust margarita pizza, the crust was the exact same thickness as our«frozen» combo pizza and was just a cheese pizza they sprinkled basil on, no mozzarella chunks no tomato slices. And don’t be fooled by their portion sizes if their small feeds two people those people are only 8 yrs old. The server was sweet but we were Super disappointed! If your thinking of coming here save yourself the 50 bucks and but a couple frozen pizzas from smiths, same quality.

Late review; but my family and I were visiting out-of-state in August and found Bru-Go’s on Unilocal. It definitely lives up to its high ratings! The pizzas and salad were great! We also ordered a serving of mozzarella sticks and an order of bbq wings to go(since it was near closing time). Customer service was really friendly as well. The only miss was that the wings took a long time and were really burnt, but overall it was a great experience.

On a road trip we drove through Carson city and found this place on Unilocal. At first glance the décor and setting wasn’t anything special but whatever was cooking smelled delish so we decided to see what all the good reviews were about. We sat at one of the 7 tables when you first walk in. We ordered a small pizza and 12 wings(6 hot and 6BBQ) and it was perfect for two. The wings take about 20 minutes but totally worth the wait. Highly recommend this place for pizza and wings if your in Carson city.

First impression pulling up, I was kind of impressed. Looked fancy looked nice, but hours weren’t posted. We walked in and got immediate service, because the place was empty. I’m not sure if that’s because it was 3ish on a Sunday afternoon, or if because people already knew what we discovered. While the breadsticks and pizza were yummy, I don’t think they were with the $ 40 check we left with. The medium breadsticks were about $ 11. The large pizza had 8 slices and was $ 22. Max’s Dr Pepper was $ 2 and he left a tip I’m not sure was deserved. Service was only ok. Nothing above average to make me want to rave about. Now that it’s day two of the pizza, I can’t say the leftovers fared well. Probably a fresh only type of pizza. Not thoroughly impressed with this place. Won’t go back. But at least we tried.

I’m sad. This is about the best pizza offering in this little hamlet. It’s decent but nothing to write home about. Sad, I love a good pizza but have been limited to the chain restaurants because I refuse to pay higher prices for subpar product.

I spent the day at Apple Hill collecting apples and cider with my family and after our long trip home we decided to stop for pizza. So of course to find the best pizza in Carson we Unilocaled it !! And based on other reviews this place won and you all couldn’t be anymore correct !! The waitress greeted us with warm hellos and seated us right away! The place only has maybe 6 tables and almost all where full… good sign !! We ordered some beers and wine while we decided over all the yummy and creative pizzas. I ordered the Nemo something or other shrimp pie, with a garlic sauce and let me tell you it was realllllly good !! Full of flavor with a thin crust… parents got half pepperoni and half green peppers with ricotta. It was a really good pizza and I am now trying to figure out a way they can deliver to Reno !!! Although we got sad news durning our visit… my grandmother had past away I will visit again. I would of given 5 stars but it was a little expensive and the crust was a little too well done, burnt in some spots…

A friend of mine took me here while visiting Carson City. After seeing most of Carson City, I wasn’t expecting too much, like ya know it’s a pizza joint. Wow, was I surprised. It’s located in a strip mall on the North side of Carson City. This poor mall is almost all empty with for lease signs up at most of the empty storefronts. But this sad state of affairs has not stopped a few brave businesses. Starbucks for one. Can’t stop the Starbucks train! Brugo’s is located right next door to the Starbucks A frozen yogurt place is next door to Brugo’s. Brugo’s I’m told has been here for some years and the original owners moved off to Scottsdale AZ. So now a nice woman Kristi owns it. Still the same menu. I was surprised how nice the inside was. It was more like a fine dining restaurant, than some pizza joint with video games all along one wall. The wine list is impressive as well as the assortments of beer. I hear there is even half off beer and wine nights! The patio out back is shared with the Starbucks and the frozen yogurt place. It’s a really nice spot for outdoor dining. The weather has been warm I guess for around here, so it was nice to eat outside. The service was just fine and we were never neglected, as can happen when you are not in the main dining room of some restaurants. We had a couple of draft beers. Looking over the menu, I see, Hmmm… these prices are sort of on the high side for pizza. I’m told by my friend, it supposed to be worth it with all the quality ingredients. Well, I guess thinking at Zachary’s Pizza in Oakland a large special pizza is over $ 30.00, so maybe the prices here are not too out of line. These are high end pizzas I’m talkin’ about here! Since my friend knows the menu and even has a friend here in Carson that one of the sandwiches is named after, I let her pick the pizza. We get the«Big Combo» medium for $ 21.00. It has pepperoni, Chicago Italian sausage, red onions, green bell peppers, fresh mushrooms, black olives, special roasted red sauce and mozzarella. That’s a ton of stuff on a pizza! It seems to take some time for the pizza to come out. Hey, I guess quality can’t be rushed! I see some reviews complaining about the slow cooking. Hey! what’s the rush? Relax have a beer or wine and have some insightful conversation with your company! Or if you really can’t wait, call in your order in advanced … problem solved, come in sit down and eat. Me? I rather have a relaxed civilized dining experience. This place will deliver that. This is an adult pizza place! Super beer selection and wine list, this is definitely not like Pizza Hut! One beer later, the pizza comes out. Holy Crap!(excuse my Norwegian!). That is some of the best pizza I have ever had! The crust is just the right thickness and crisp! The toppings are a good mouthful! I hate tasting some fancy gourmet thin crust authentic Italian whatever and feel like I take a bite and«Is that all?» The medium is just right for 2 hungry people. Now I just wish they would do a Deep Dish Chicago style here … that would so kick some you know what! Brugo’s would actually make a nice adult date place, nice wines and gourmet pizza and no screaming children running around video games! Price for a date with nice pizza and a couple of glasses of wine, might be around $ 40 bucks, try to have a «nice» date place with drinks for that price anywhere else!

The difference between a good pizza and an excellent pizza is the crust. And, Brugo’s has really nailed it. My favorite is the Mama Mia Spicy Italian. Without a doubt, if you want the best pizza in the Carson City area, you cannot do any better than Brugo’s. I’ve always had a pleasant experience with the service and staff. But, if the truth be known, I’d suffer though bad service just to enjoy the pizza. It’s clean, the service is good, and the food just couldn’t be better.

Outstanding pizzas. Great salads! Everything is great! Small dining area. Outside seating is available. Beer and wine is available. Loved the thin crust pizza. You can also get regular. Skyler offers great service! You will not be disappointed.

Great pizza place for those just passing through. We stayed at the local Holiday Inn exhausted from a road trip. We just wanted something easy and fast and found this pizza place. We went there to pick up the pizza. Place looks fun… wine nights, beer nights. I did think the pizza was a little pricey, but it was ready as soon as they said it would be.

I heard that this was the premium pizza of Carson City, so I took my family to try it out… I wasn’t disappointed, not one bit. If your choosing a pizza place for a date, it perfect. Depending on the time of day as well as time of year, sit outside, enjoy the quiet area and phenomenal pizza.

Yesterday, my guys and I were over in the Minden-Gardnerville area when Hubster and I were suddenly hit with a desperate craving for pizza and wings. We did a little Unilocal-sploring for places in the area and were coming up empty-handed when I remembered a recent Talk topic where Brugo’s was mentioned. After perusing some reviews and checking out the menu, we decided it seemed like a good place to go in search of satisfying our craving. And so we were off… Brugo’s is a small eat-in pizzeria, with just 6 tables for dining. We later realized that there is also a patio at the back of the restaurant, which I would have loved to have had offered as a seating choice when we were seated. We were seated after a couple of minutes, with drink orders taken right away. When our drinks arrived, we placed an order for appetizers — a large order of mozzarella sticks and a half order of hot wings — and asked for a few minutes to decide on our pizza order. Fifteen minutes later, we flagged our waitress down to ask to place our pizza order. There were countless specialty pizzas on the menu that begged«pick me!» We opted to do a medium half-and-half, The Franktown Pizza and Bacon Cheeseburger, on thin crust. For The Boy, we ordered a personal size cheese pizza on olive oil. And then we waited… About 20 minutes after placing our appetizer order, our mozzarella sticks came out, with the waitress telling us the marinara sauce for them would be out in «just a couple minutes.» 10 minutes later, with the majority of the sticks already devoured, an cold side of marinara sauce was brought to our table. When the marinara sauce was brought out, I inquired about our wings and was told that they were«on their way out.» Another 15 minutes passed by(so, that’s 45 minutes since placing the appetizer order), with Hubster and I convinced that we were going to have to give up on our dream of wings, we were actually surprised to see a basket of wings being set on the table between the two of us. We waited about another 25 minutes for our pizzas to arrive. And mixed in with it all, we waited(a lot) for drink refills. Our drinks were never refilled without me having to get the waitresses attention to ask for them. Even when she was at our table, she didn’t seem to notice our completely empty glasses. Thankfully, each bit of waiting had some really tasty food on the other end of it. Even the mozzarella sticks had us gushing over how good they were. I mean, don’t get me wrong, I’m a regular fan of fried cheese, but I don’t typically find myself giddy over it. And the wings? Oh, man, those wings! They sat on the hotter side than my wimpy tastebuds can typically handle, but they were SO.GOOD. that I just had to keep coming back for more, despite my senses being on fire. By the time the pizza arrived, my expectations were high. Like, so high that I was teetering on expecting to be disappointed. The moment it was brought to our table, I knew I wasn’t going to be disappointed. Just a glance at the pizza told me it was about to make me a very happy girl. The Bacon Cheeseburger was perfect in its simple tastiness, while the Franktown’s gourmet toppings elevated it to one of the best pizzas I’ve eaten in a very long time. I’ve never had this tough of a time in deciding how to rate a business. Everything that we ate was ah-MAZ-ing, and I would easily rank Brugo’s pizza very high on my list of local favorites. The prices are a bit on the high side for a pizza place. While I feel that the quality of the food being put out most definitely warrants the prices, I also expect, then, for the service to also warrant higher prices. This time around, I’m meeting in the middle with the two and going with three stars. I’m certain we’ll be back to give Brugo’s another shot in the future, and I’ll hope for service that gets the five stars the food deserves.

Yum! Visiting from out of town and checked for local, family friendly place on Unilocal! And found Brugo’s…glad we did. Wings were on point!(Got the BBQ wings, they take a few to make but well worth the wait) Pizza was delicious and even were attentive to our special order. We got the Joe’s Sicilian Meatball and Southwest BBQ Chicken… zero complaints.

I always visit local restaurants based on reviews when I go out of town. My 5 year old loves pizza, so Brugos was the first place to pop up. We were not disappointed! Took our pizza(6″ cheese) to the hotel, along with some fresh Parmesan, and it was devoured! Our pup enjoyed a piece of crust too ;) If you’re in Carson City from out of town and are looking for a REAL pizza, check this out. Chains just can’t compare!
