The worst staff I’ve ever come across in any type of restaurant atmosphere. Overpriced and outdated. You’d be better off going to the grocery store and buying the cheapest frozen pizza you can, it would be of equal comparison. I would almost go as far as to say the staff is racist towards Caucasians. I’ll never be back and wish this experience upon no one. Zero stars

Best pizza parlor locally. A couple cool video games to play and a big seating area. Pizza was better in my opinion that toppers and pizza man dans(same styles)

Horrible customer service on the phone. The only thing saving this place is its thin crust pizza

Orders take a while but you get some pretty decent pizza. Service was good. It’s your classic pizza place.

During my visit we ordered a pepperoni pan crust pizza and I thought it was okay. I usually prefer the thin crust pizza, so my comment might be biased. However the pizza parlor was clean, and I felt very comfortable eating there. The garlic cheese bread was really good! I kept eating it even tho I was stuffed(with the marinara sauce).

Called in for an order and may I say the staff is the most unenthusiastic staff I have ever had the nerve of speaking with. Really lol? You guys sound like a bunch of emo teenagers. It’s okay if you hate your life but don’t be so obvious about it at work! Keep business and bullshit completely separated! Put a fake smile and be happy we are paying you for your over priced pizza.

The food was good, but there were SEVERAL kids running around as if the restaurant was a park. We spoke with the staff and they did nothing we had to tell the kids to stop running. Experience was HORRIBLE! I would not recommend coming here.

Pizza was decent! But too much crust for regular pan, thought I was eating a biscuit!

Well, I guess for this being the only place open late, it’s better than nothing. The price was excellent, but the portions were not very big. I got the personal pan pizza. If your hungry, get 2 of them. My wife got Rusty’s sub. Bread was a little burnt and tasted ok. Probably would not come back here again unless of course we were on vacation down here again and we were really hungry late at night. Still better than McDonalds.

Best pizza in town hands down. Ordered the La Diablo pizza and it was delicious. With a small order of killer wings

I’ve been camping at Carpinteria every summer since I was a little girl and we made our yearly stop at Rusty’s for dinner one night. I’ve got to say that I was extremely impressed. My party ordered pizzas, garlic cheese bread, and the salad bar. The salad bar is extremely basic but let’s be honest… who really goes to a pizza joint for salad? The pizza on the other hand was absolutely delicious. It’s not the deep dish type but it’s the perfectly cooked perfection that makes it awesome. If I lived in Carp I’d definitely be a frequent flyer at this joint. 5 stars all the way!

Crust is perfect, chewy and sturdy enough to hold up, yes soft enough to fold over and the slices slowly fold with gravity when holding it out which is just the way a good pizza crust should behave. Crust is thin but flaky and chewy but not crusty or too delicate. Prefect proportion of cheese and toppings and sauce is not overpowering flavor but there is a decent amount of sauce enough to say it’s «saucy» but not enough for the cheese to slide off. Toppings go all the way to the edge which is my definition of perfect pizza, same thickness all the way through and omg I can’t stop eating it.

An OK pizza place. Haven’t tried the thin crust but the pan pizza is pretty good if not a bit too doughy. Ingredients seemed to be fresh, employees were constantly topping off and tidying up the salad bar. Interior is very… pizza parlor-esque and the carpet is a bit dingy. The player one joystick on the«1945» arcade game doesn’t move the plane left, so you’re stuck on the right side of the screen!

I usually love Rustys pizza but lately it has been burnt and has tasted like cardboard at the Carpinteria location. Also the so called supervisor Felepe has the worst customer service! Don’t work with the public if you are unable to manage basic communication skills. Very disappointed!

About average as far as pizza goes. But man, is it grungy inside. Families leaving napkins everywhere, workers not cleaning them up, kids screaming and yelling and jumping over the arcade games. If you must eat here, take your food to go. I guess they were at least friendly.

Love Rusty’s lunch special! Great salad bar, yummy individual pizza and a drink for $ 6.99! Every time we are in Carpinteria we make sure to stop at Rusty’s!

I ordered the individual pizza, thin crust, extra sauce, pepperoni and black olives. It was pretty good. It was filling, had good flavor and was a reasonable price. The service wasn’t great, the woman taking out order was unpleasant, and not helpful. This place is open late, has beer, a tv, some old arcade games and decent seating. I wanted a salad but I was not about to pay $ 5.99 for a one trip to the salad bar. Consisting of lettuce, a few toppings and dressings. No thanks.

Get the pan crust — you won’t regret it! We visit Rusty’s whenever we are in the area. It is a throwback pizza parlor with squeaky pleather booths and old school arcade games and a retro salad bar(hello, iceberg lettuce!). The restaurant wasn’t very busy, so our kids entertained themselves with the video games and pretty much had the run of the place. The pizza was ready fast and the beer was cold, with frosty mugs. A medium pan pizza was perfect for our family(our kids are 5 and 3, so not huge eaters, but they do like pizza).

Carpinteria’s little gem! I grew up with it & still absolutely love it! This place never disappoints each and every time I come into town I always take the opportunity to come in for a small personal pizza or some wings. The quality is great and the personnel is always very friendly; Mary always helps me and she’s an absolute delight! She always has a recommendation that I love, for example the el Diablo Fuego pizza(spicy but really yummy). Best pizza place to hang out with friends or family after a fun filled day at the beach \(^_^)/
