Happened to find this little place when we set out to Padaro Beach. Since the grill was busy, we figured we’d give this place a try. Very friendly server, although she could have used some back-up. She still took time to make us feel at home and flirt with out little guy! Amongst our party manicotti, lasagna, spaghetti and a mix of calzones. I was not a fan of the manicotti, as it was a little dry but the lasagna with meat sauce was delicious. My husband said he loved the flavor of spaghetti with meat sauce and we heard the calzones were good. It is also nice that they are pet friendly as well, as they have a nice little patio. We do plan to revisit.

We lucked into this jewel on Santa Claus Lane. They have wonderful pizza, made from a 50 year-old family recipe, that is some of the best we have ever had. They also have a dog friendly dining patio in front. Owners are super friendly. We traded stories about our rescued pets. Can’t recommend the place high enough. Definitely coming back!

Hi gone several times and do enjoy the food! When I go to an italian restaurant I am use to getting garlic bread soon upon arrival — at least with the food. Not here I have had to ask for the bread each visit — sadly you still sit and wait and by the time the really good garlic bread arrives guess what ’ viola dinner is over. Something is definately wrong here with the timing. I have mentioned this to the staff to make sure to tell the manager. Could be a really cool place just figure out —- service, service, oh yeah no cheese or spoon for the pasta. Come on…

We had a great experience! Stopped by for lunch on our way home from Pismo Beach and we had our husky with us so we were glad to find patio seating. The patio was inviting and pleasant and they offered a beef or pork bone for our dog as well as bowls for water! Nice touch! We ordered a pizza and salad and everything was perfect. The service was accommodating and the bathrooms are spacious and clean. A great restaurant in a cute area with great service!

Had a very unusual calzone here last night. More similar to a thin – crust pizza, folded over, with very little inside. Not sure how a pizza place could get this so wrong! There was too much in our party going on to address with the staff. However, the gal who waited on us was a delight!

Found this gem via Unilocal,on the way home from Santa Barbara Mission, located on Santa Claus Lane Excellent service and pizza was very delicious. Thin fresh crust with a savory red sauce. Son had a cheese burger that was choice meat and cheese. I would stop by here from now on.

Went Friday night and it was pretty busy. It was just painful to watch and wait for the son of the owner to come ask us about drinks. We waited some more. Finally we get drinks and quickly order to avoid him disappearing again. Wait some more while he goofs around with some friends. Finally get the salads are delivered, followed by the entrées about a minute later. I had chicken picatta and the two pieces of chicken looked like white bologna. About 1⁄8 thick, tough and dry. The fettuccine was good but a bit bland, a little salt cured that. We finished the meal and as we were paying the check he drops a basket of garlic bread on the table without missing a step. So all in all the food is poor and the service is a joke.

Just tried to place an order to go. I called at 8:14PM and Unilocal says they close at 9PM. This is how the conversation just went: «Borrello’s.» “Hi, I would like to place an order to pick up.” «Hold on.»(Passes phone to someone else) «Hello?» “Hi, I would like to place an order to pick up.” «Sorry, we’re closed.» «Oh, I thought you closed at 9. Did you close at 8?» «8:30 actually.» «Is that every night?» «Just for tonight.» «Alright. Thanks.» I know it’s a small thing, but the inconsistency and not so friendly phone conversation really bothers me. This left a first impression I won’t forget. I’ll adjust the rating when I decide to give them a try again.

We came in for an early lunch and had a lovely time. The owner and the rest of the staff are all very kind and welcoming. The pasta, pizza and soups were a great success with my husband and children. My salad and vegetable plate were fresh and inviting. It is a great family-friendly place and highly recommended.

I rarely leave reviews, but I was really happy with the service. This is the place to eat anything pasta. The sauce. Really good, tasty, not canned, all home made. The thin dish pizza is delicious. Give it a try. The soups are well seasoned. The service is family oriented and attentive. Always a smile. This place is new. A hidden gem in Padero Ln. Must try. Veronica is awesome.

One of our new favorites! Their pizza crust is house made daily, it is perfect! They keep their ingredients local and organic the best they can and their staff is a great mix of family and friends. We went recently had the banana cream pie… I don’t like banana cream pie generally and i could eat this every day of my life! They are are very pet friendly bringing our dog out a bone and giving him some love. Their beer and wine selection is local and great as well! We will be frequent patrons! Great job!

Have been 5 times now… 1. Needs more wait staff 2. Owner should just be the hostess not wait staff too. 3. Every time she sits a table & waits on it, it takes forever to get back to your table. Stop visiting w/everyone –hence just be the hostess! 4. Get rid of Video Games, no space for them.(super ugly) 5. Food portions are good. 6. Reasonable prices. 7. Carpinteria is desperate for a decent meal.

They need to work on their list management for tables. Friday night was poorly handled and after a 40 minute wait while other folks wee his strolling in — we left. It would have been smarter to get us seated and drinking. Also 3 tables sat dirty and no bus staff on hand to clean it up with many other folks waiting.

My son and I visited Borrello’s after a lacrosse tournament this weekend. He wanted to do a little carb loading after all that bothersome running. What a find! The atmosphere is homey and warm, and it’s a great place to take your family. There were people enjoying the football, a couple on a little date, and Lukas and I grubbing before our drive back to LA. While we waited for our food, we talked about the games, and when the food came it was definitely worth the wait. The fries were absolutely perfect, my meatball sandwich was a classic like my mother in law makes, and Lukas proclaimed the pizza the best that he’s had. Do yourself a favor, stop by this wonderful place and support this local business. The people are friendly, the atmosphere is relaxed and inviting, and it’s real handmade food that’s worth waiting for. Thanks, Lucy!

Put an order in for a pizza to go at 4:00, as I was going to grab it and take it home shortly after 5 for dinner. They were very nice, saying absolutely no problem, happy to accommodate me, and they’d start the pizza cooking around 4:40 for me. A bit after 5 I went over to pick it up, and it had, apparently, not been started yet. Again, the people were very, very nice, but after waiting more then an extra half hour beyond 5:00, when you order at 4:00 specifically to pick up(at a time and place where it was NOT busy), it gets a little silly, and you have to wonder just what(even after it was started!) was taking so long… The pizza(a Hawaiian with jalapeños), when it was finally done and home, was… alright. Not great, but alright. Better then Rusty’s, but a far cry from«this is the best pizza in town»(looking at you, Paxti…). Maybe this was a one-time thing and they just«forgot,» and then they were just«a bit slow,» and I’ll go ahead and try it again to find out, but… not really impressed.

Dinner with my family was delicious. We ordered shrimp scampi over angel hair pasta, chicken piccata with fettichini alfredo and a pizza. Everything was yum. Stella on tap and the house chianti was a perfect accent. The vibe is casual, good music, sports on tv and family friendly prices.
