Thought we’d try this place as we’ve driven by it many times. We should have kept going. We walked in and the waitress told us to sit anywhere. There were only a few other tables filled at the time so it wasn’t difficult to find a table. The 3 waitresses continued to clear tables and set then up for people who were not there, fill coffee cups for those lucky enough to have a cup, and all 3 totally ignored us for 10 – 15 minutes. We finally got up and walked out so can’t vouch for quality of food. But, I can pretty much guarantee we won’t go back to find out.

I downloaded this app just to tell people not to waste their time or money going into this over priced dive of a restaurant. I really wanted this place to be good. I love local but this place made me long for a chain resturant which should never be the case. My son wanted a grilled cheese and soup. They were going to charge 5.49 for the grilled cheese and 3.49 for the soup smh. Couldnt find anything on the menu worth ordering. I really tried! The place seemed dirty and it shocked me the owners were there. Ugh this place makes me depressed. It ruined my day because i just wanted a nice place to take my kids. This place isnt a blast from the past the only thing that could save it is if the space shuttle blasted into it and the owners could collect the insurance money. P. S we know the only decent reviews were written by employees lol

I walked in a few minutes before they officially opened and was welcomed very warmly. I tried their daily breakfast special of bacon egg and cheese bagel(plain bagel for me) with hot and delicious coffee. I thoroughly enjoyed my breakfast stop here and will definitely be back. The bagel is HUGE and sooooo delicious. $ 7.71 after tax for the bagel special and coffee. You get way more than your money’s worth! The décor and atmosphere is so cool and retro. I loved finding this place and wish I had noticed it earlier. My map app said it was a 12 minute walk from my hotel but it only took 7. This place meets all of what I want: good food, friendly staff, convenient, good prices, and a wonderful atmosphere. This place would be a fun meal stop no matter your age.

Eggs and grits, a biscuit with sausage gravy and a coffee(in Cocoa Beach!) for $ 7. AND it was delicious. My new weekend breakfast spot.

Like one of the previous reviewers, it pains me to give a bad review, but someone needs to let these folks know how mediocre their restaurant is. My wife and I stopped by for lunch because we were intrigued by the 50’s theme. When we walked in, we were greeted by a friendly staff and were seated promptly. It ‘s never a good sign when the first thing the waitress says is we are out of meat loaf, turkey and have no «steak and cheese» sandwiches. Those were three main items on their already lackluster menu selection. I ordered the Alamo Burger which was supposed to come with chili, cheese and jalapenos. My wife ordered the citrus salad. Simple enough. Well the waitress comes back, and says they are out of chili. I say no problem. Make it a bacon cheeseburger. OK. Then as we are waiting for our food, we see one of the workers storm out from the back and out the front door uttering something to the effect: «I can’t take this $hit anymore.» Then we hear voices in the back saying: Did you just see what she F — ing did?” Real classy. Two or three people walked in as we were sitting there, and the waitress did not see them come in. One gentleman even had to retrieve his own menu. So the food finally comes, and there is no bacon on my burger. OK, so what? The waitress seemed flustered at that point, and I had to ask her for the root beer I had originally ordered. The burger wasn’t bad. My wife’s salad comes out, and it supposed to have boiled eggs on it. Well they scrambled some eggs, chopped them up and threw them on the salad. So now the salad has warm eggs all over it. Then we look closer, and salad is riddled with hundreds of craisins. Really? We were also not sure why they called it a Citrus Salad because it nothing citrus on it. The cook comes out and says he sorry that he was out of boiled eggs. He said: «We’ll have some tomorrow.» Well if he could scramble an egg, he could have boiled one for her in ten minutes. Additionally we aren’t coming back tomorrow, or ever. We took home some grilled cheese sandwiches for our kids which were OK, and I brought them home some fries. The fries were pretty good, and we brought them home some packets of ketchup that were so expired, as my daughter put it: «The ketchup is so brown, it looks like it’s been sitting around since the 50’s.» Ugh! Finally, if you are going to have a 50’s theme, you need some floats and shakes on your menu.

I wish I could give this place negative stars! Service took forever, food was absolutely disgusting and to top it all off there was wax paper in my scrambled eggs! I literally pulled it out of my mouth! I told the owner and she shrugged her shoulders. Do not go here! I am a local and was looking forward to finally visiting the place and hoping for a «Herbie’s K» experience(a 50s diner in cocoa Beach years ago) and it was the complete opposite and then some! My husband couldn’t even eat his pancakes they were so bad. How do you screw up pancakes?! Anyway… there you go

it absolutely pains me to do this, but I feel like I must. If I could give it less than 1 star, I would. If you check my reviews, you will see I am pretty encouraging and thoroughly enjoy praising a place that earns it. where to begin? 1. décor. is it a train station theme or a 50’s theme? either way, it just looks very messy and honestly, the first thing we thought to ourselves, was, I hope they put better effort into the food. Swagger’s was here before this place, and was on point every single time we came in to eat, and even they had their own questionable judgement in décor, but the food and service more than made up for it. we hoped this would be the same scenario. when we sat down the paper placemats were literally printed in 1997 and had a map of Florida. am sorry to seem so trivial, but again it just screams that you do not care or are not willing to put much effort into your place, which should be your pride and joy. the menu, again, a piece of paper, 2 sided, shaped like a place mat, with a limited amount of items. so considering you have so few things, they should definitely be done correctly, right? wrong. once again, we were hoping and praying the food would reflect some passion because none was given elsewhere. 2. service. yes the staff was friendly, however, if 2 people are sitting at a table, they both order sweet tea, why on earth would you bring them in 2 different sized cups? again, we can only assume you were out of cups, which shows yet again, you aren’t putting much effort into your business. Then, when we order the food, the least you could do, especially if it takes about 15 minutes longer than it should take to bring the food out, make sure the orders were accurate. And when we do point out something is missing, don’t blame it on the cook, because you were the one who took the order, you should know what we are eating and what to put on the table. example, I ordered a «steel cowboy» which was 3 scrambled eggs, a country fried steak, home fries, and a biscuit with gravy. my order came out without eggs. that was a pretty significant part of the meal, no? 3. food quality. are you kidding me? that was not a piece of country fried steak, I don’t even know what that was but it wasnt breaded, and it had no flavor and was about the size of a small pork chop. considering this is meant to be a cut of steak pounded thin and breaded then fried, it should have been 3 times the size it was, and not curled upwards as if it were microwaved. the potatoes were ok, they were seasoned, so thats a plus, but it looked like they came out of a pan that had been used multiple times over and over, as I had several small charred bits of matter that I can only guess used to be a segment of potato. my wife had chipped beef with eggs, except she didnt have eggs delivered with her meal either, and it is pretty difficult to prepare chipped beef without it tasting salty, but somehow they managed to not only produce something void of salt, but void of any flavor whatsoever. I wanted nothing more than to like this place, but there was not one thing to enjoy about the experience from start to finish. We even waited a few weeks for them to get opened up and acclimated so we could give it a try, and I am absolutely confused as to what exactly made anyone here think they are onto something good. Every single thing about this place, the people behind it, and the food served, display a lack of enthusiasm, let alone respect for the restaurant industry. most people are out there trying their best to get people in the door, to show them how much love and pride goes into their food, whereas, this place painfully appears to give every aspect of a dining experience, the middle finger. If you are the owner of this place, I hope you take these words seriously and make immediate improvements on every single facet of your operation, or else you will only last long enough to bleed your resources dry, and will be another statistic in the unforgiving culinary world, except, you had better not try blaming it on the economy or recession, because a proper diner could have been the perfect thing for that location, if only you cared a little. my apologies for being so brutal in this review, but this was by far the worst overall experience we have had since moving to this side of town, and I hope it doesn’t reflect on the rest of the hard working independently owned establishments just a few hundred yards further south who do need the business from the cruise ship tourists looking for a quick meal before they set sail.
