WOW! Not sure how this place is still in business! We decided stop and get coffee after having lunch at the Screw and Brew across the street. This place was not our first choice to try for coffee but the sleepy monk was slammed… so across the street we went to this«fine» establishment. We were not completely sure it was open since there was one light on inside and everything was dim. We mustered up our courage and headed in with the thought that worse case we waste some money on coffee we toss… Maybe it’s a hidden jewel of a place?! Upon entering we were greeted by a friendly lady and whiff of a musty building(not the yummy smell of a bakery we were expecting). We ordered a caramel/hazelnut latte and an iced caramel Americano. While waiting for our drinks we decided to get two doughnuts that looked yummy in the case(made in house). The bagels looked shriveled so we did not want to chance it. We got our drinks and let me say the drinks were horrible and the cups only ¾ of the way full and our donuts were stale and awful! I ended up tossing my coffee and doughnut in the nearest garbage can. My husband powered through his caramel/hazelnut latte – missing it’s caramel and stale doughnut – glutton for punishment cause it wrecked his tummy.

Read the reviews! Runaway! The drinks in the refrigerator were expired. That alone should tell you this place should be avoided like the plague. We came in to buy a bagel sandwich but the service was terrible. There was only one customer! Thank goodness the service was slow otherwise I wouldn’t had the time to peruse the drinks in the refrigerator. They were expired!

Priciest deli ever! $ 25 for two bagel sandwiches. If you want or wheat bread add $.95 per sandwich.

If this was the only place to eat on the planet, I would fend for myself instead, even if it was free(rather than half my estate). Our dining experience began after a lengthy parking stall hunt. Almost ready to give up, we found this place and in our famished state we settled for a small meal(big mistake). After waiting about 20 minutes for only 2 people ahead of us my wife was able to order and she graciously offered to pay having had plenty of time to estimate the total from the display board. During the transaction she was asked if she wanted cream cheese on her bagel like virtually every other person on this planet that has eaten a bagel. «Yes» she replied; ‘Click click click’ goes the register. Then I am asked if I want my sandwhich toasted. Having never thought that would cost I said sure; ‘click click click’ on the register again. After noticing she was extorted almost $ 27 for a sandwich, bagel, muffin and two drinks I almost had a bowel movement. «Be calm,» I thought, «I’m on vacation, minor deal.» In the 40+ minutes we waited for our food my wife got bored of watching her muffin in the display that they couldn’t simply hand her right away and she noticed my juice had been expired for over 2 months. We are fortunate to have travelled to many countries and yet even amongst those with health standards far poorer than the US’s, this place has some of the worst practices I have ever seen: cashier handling food without gloves or washing, dusty/dingy environment, filthy equipment, lights off through most of the employee area etc. These issues combined with blatant price gouging has me wondering how these soulless owners sleep at night. It pains me that I’m obligated to award them at least one star. TL;DR: Eat here if you’re an oil tycoon seeking«food» made by people that think that it is like wine and can be aged for perfection and filth is a topping they can charge for.

Wow. Believe the reviews. I spent $ 11 on a bagel, one dollar for toasting it, and it had a very obvious spot green fuzzy mold inside it. Oh, and the dollar I spent to toast it was evidently spent to burn it. The lady didn’t care one iota and when I tried to say something she looked right passed me at the next customer and ignored me. Then as I’m walking out she says«welcome to cannon beach tourism». Oh, and I left my dog outside while I was in there and when I came out he was eating a moldy bagel that he found. Go figure. other than that, this place was as awesome as a car wreck in a smart car.

They charge an extra dollar for toasting one bagel, and when it is all done you end up paying over $ 9 for a bagel. Its a decent bagel, but not worth anything more than $ 5. A tourist trap that should be avoided at all costs.

On my first trip to Cannon Beach, I decided to stop for lunch. I chose this deli. I chose poorly. I ordered the«Big Kahuna», which was basically tuna salad on a bagel. I paid for the bagel up-front. Big mistake. It took over 20 minutes to get. It became clear that the woman behind the counter didn’t care one whit. I had a chance to look around, and the place was rather filthy. When my «sandwich» finally came, it had essentially no meat on it, was hard as a rock and cost damn near $ 10. When I complained, the woman sniped to me: «Hey, you’re on the coast, whaddaya want?!» If I hadn’t paid first, I would have walked out of this dump. Honestly, I don’t know how this place stays in business. After all the negative reviews, it’s amazing the local government allows this place to stay open. As bad as lunch was, my dinner at Sweet Basil’s Café(down the street) was a big disappointment too. I will never set foot in Cannon Beach again. The place sucks!

We stopped in here because it was the only place open for a cup of coffee at the time and I wish we had walked on by. I got two americanos to go and it was the worst cup of coffee I’ve ever had. Even though the woman appeared to use the espresso machine(which was missing quite a few knobs and buttons) to make the drinks what I was handed was disgusting. The coffee had the taste and appearance of old gas station coffee that was then even further watered down than what you’d expect from a gas station. We were already in the car and back on the road at the point of discovery so we tried to drink the coffees but couldn’t stomach them and wound up throwing them out. What a frustrating waste of money.

I really wish I would have read the reviews before going here. When I walked in I wasn’t even greeted not a big deal. It’s a deli… the guy making the sandwiches seemed angry. Ok, maybe he’s having a bad day. thought the bagels were small and the prices were a bit much But I figured we were all hungry so what the heck can’t be that bad. They’re bagels after all. I ordered three bagels off the menu A tuna sandwich bagel, and two others I think they were called something like the cannon, a the haystack. All fitting names for the cannon beach area… I paid 30 dollars plus tip. Not sure how she got to 30 but didn’t really care at the time. When the bagels came out. Loaded them in my sack and headed two blocks to my hungry friends. I joked about paying 12 dollars per bagel. The joke was on us however… We were shocked to find out that One of the bagels had rancid meat. You could smell it as soon as you opened it. I’m never going back. My friends wanted me to take the sandwich back Before we left town but I didn’t want that smelly thing near me. How could someone smell that meat and serve it? I don’t get it. My friends set the sandwich outside after they saved it in the fridge and it smelled up the house. The crows pecked at it but wouldn’t even eat it… Read these reviews and believe what they are saying. Don’t go here. Not worth it even if your hungry. Wait in line at one of the other places in town. There is a reason they have lines at their places and this place doesn’t.

expensive bagel sandwiches but this isn’t a 1 star place. Wonder when the ice cream will ever come back?

Believe the reviews! Find a mud puddle, throw $ 10 in it and take a drink. You will get a better value that way :) Seriously, support ANY of the other coffee/espresso places nearby. Horrible service, horrible cleanliness, horrible product. Horrible.

Absolutely disgusting place. This was my first visit to Cannon Beach being from California and I was appalled by this so called«deli.» First off, bagels were way over priced for how skinny and dehydrated the bagels were. Secondly, all of our orders were made wrong and mine was served with an old, moldy avocado. I can not believe this trashy place is still operating in such a nice area. Very disappointing to see in Cannon Beach area. Avoid this place at all cost.

Sigh. I just wanted a sandwich. A turkey sandwich cost $ 9.30. What the hell? I wish I had the smarts to turn and leave. Never again dumpy lil bagel shop. Never again.

This place is crap. Two bagels, a latte and a bottled water came out to $ 19! That’s ABSURD. The same at any Starbucks would have been under $ 10 easy. Only giving this one star because I can’t give it zero.

I wish I could give this place zero stars. They charged us $ 19 for coffee, water, and two bagels. And the bagels were not even that good! Mine was super hard and tasteless! Do not go here! Go to Bald Eagle coffee down the street or something. Just avoid this place! They are ripping people off badly!

Helped move my friend out to Portland from PA and decided to go to the coast for a day. After hiking for a few hours and upon getting ready to leave we decided to get some decent coffee and a small nosh, so as not to bonk on the drive back. Passed this place and thought it had potential as a little cheap dive. Boy were we wrong. It was a dive. It was not cheap. And the quality of goods was just not acceptable. I ordered a maple and an Americano and the total was 6.00 dollars. Maple bar game was stale. Coffee game was weak, chockfull of grinds. My friend ordered espresso from the menu– charged 3.25 instead of 1.95. We then noticed that a pickle addition to a sandwich was around a dollar extra. Service was terrible. Charged 50 cents for a bathroom sized Dixie cup of ice… while waiting for my ice I saw a youngster order a pizza. Let me clarify the word pizza by this establishments standards: sauce and bagged shredded cheese on an english muffin toasted in toaster oven for all yours for around 7.50. Bottom line– the most true words I have heard all day where as my friend exited through the front door shaking his head: «these people are crooks» So that’s it, this has driven me write my first Unilocal review ever, here ya go zero stars(of possible) you’ve earned it!

Whores! Pimps! What a rip off for a ten dollar bagel sandwich and 2.75 for a diet Pepsi. Dumpy huge kitchen, one table and pickles, a tomato an onion slice average 75 cents more. 13 reviews at 1 star! We should have checked Unilocal before even crossing the screen door. Oh and horrible one person staffed service. Health inspection needed.

These hucksters charged $ 3.95 for a bagel listed as costing $ 1.95. When I realized what they had done, the woman stopped making eye contact but gave some lane explanation about the added cost of the butter and the labor of putting it in a toaster. The bagel ended up being terrible. These people are con artists, and you should not support them. The only reason I went in there is because that part of town has a data dead-zone and I couldn’t check Unilocal. If I had, I would have seen all of the other complaints about how these people are dishonest cheats.

Horrible coffee and way too expensive. I had a 16oz coffee with a double shot and my wife had an iced coffee with a single shot. I almost choked when I got the bill for $ 11.80. The slow female behind the counter said that the shots were .95 each. I don’t know how many she put in but the coffee was flavorless and cold. I threw the last quarter of it on the pavement because it was now cold and tasted like crap. My wife wouldn’t let me go in and complain but damn, I really really wanted to. Don’t go here! She should be out of business!
