Joe Borras-On Location

I’m pushing 50 and the reviews on my hair have increased over the years. Joe Borras is really that good and his clientele stays around. I’ve been a client since the late 1990s. His shaping is done with precision and skill and last close to two months for me.
He’s still a perfect 5!

I just got a new cut and color. I posted a photo on Facebook and so far I have 52 compliments on the new look.
He also did a great job on my eyebrows too.

Joe is a one-​in-​a-​billion hairstylist. He really knows his stuff.
I came to see him based on the recommendation of a mom in my playgroup. I was trying to replicate a cut I got about a year ago in NYC. I explained the cut I wanted, kind of vaguely, and still, he cut it the same way that NYC hairstylist did.
Still, though, it was weird. My hair wasn’t responding the way it did before. It was flat in places it was curly before. So I called Joe back and ask if he’d be willing to take another pass. He fit me in right away. He saw some adjustments that he could make, but then asked how old my kids were. I thought it was a weird question, but it turns out that even a year after a pregnancy, hormones can still make hair much curlier than normal. So my hair was luxuriously curly a year ago, but now that my kids are 2, my hair is back to good ol’ flat. Fabulous.
But Joe had a solution — a perm on just part of my hair, using big rollers. And voila, I have my fabulous hairstyle again, without having to go through a pregnancy to get it!
I’m also a working mom and really appreciate the weekend hours. I also appreciate that he takes the time he needs to do the job right, but doesn’t overbook so you don’t end up waiting around.

Joe Borras has been cutting my hair for more than 10 years now. Joe has special training in color techniques, and it really shows in the way my color turns out. The color looks natural and it shines from within — it doesn’t look caked-​on like those do-​your-​own-​color products in the stores.
As my hairline has changed over the years, Joe has always given me a cut that keeps me lookin’ good! I wouldn’t let anyone else touch my hair but Joe.
