I treated my friend to lunch, our first time here. Lunch buffet was excellent. I was very impressed with their food and clean ambiance. Salads were fresh, a variety of Mediterranean food to choose from: green salad and red cabbage salad, crispy falafels, grilled chicken, special rice, quality grilled meats. Hummus and lentil soup served with fresh pita bread were out of this world, attentive service, clean and efficient place for a business meal or groups. Very reasonably priced. Don’t forget their refreshing hibiscus tea and coconut cake. I will bring my family and friends here to eat. Highly recommend!!! Foodie May

I have been here twice now. Once for carry out and today for lunch. I came in late around 2pm and there was only a few people in the restaurant. They have a lunch buffet though I did not try it because I was craving some lamb/beef shawarma. The person who helped me out was kind and the service was prompt. My hummus and shawarma were absolutely delicious. The seasoning on the meat was so good. The server brought out a bunch of dips for the pita and chips he provided and all were very good. I only had the shawarma and hummus appetizer and it filled me up so I am sure the main courses are nice and filling. I can’t wait to go back and try more off this menu!

I previously wrote a glowing review for this restaurant which I deleted by mistake. I can no longer write a review encouraging people to go since it is NOTKOSHER and is under new ownership. For people who are not concerned with the kosher status I have no idea about it now and I am not being critical, I just can’t personally suggest that people go there.

Excellent Jerusalem food !!. We were here for team lunch and this one didn’t let us down. Service is quick and fast. Buffet spread is less, but each dish is made of perfection. Chicken grill, tilapia and meat ball soup are excellent… Falafel and pita bread were tasting better. All this for less than $ 12 per head. All in all a happy customer and would come again soon !!

Come on! You need to hire more people in this busy restaurant. Coming in at 8.20PM, only one person taking the order for around 8 or 9 tables. Does this make any sense? The restaurant closes at 9 pm, but it seems that they had a crash of people in the last moment. However, this doesn’t give them any excuse. We had to leave after staying for more than 25 mins with only water being served to us. No one even took our orders. You lost a loyal customer!

This is one of the best restaurants I have been to. The food is authentic middle eastern. Just like mom used to make. Their mansaf is so yummy and meat so tender. Then for knafeh is to die for.

So wonderful. This place was so cool. The workers here are absolutely amazing and kind. We stayed much later than their open hours and they accommodated us and even stayed open for us. At a certain point the owner, Hani came out and sang beautiful Arabic songs for us. It was such a great evening and we will definitely be back and refer all we know this way! Thank you for a great evening.

I was there for their lunch buffet. The food is great. What they lack is being organized and clean. You need to go through 2 – 3 plates in the stack to find a clean one. The labels for what each item is were clearly misplaced. If they get that part of their act together, this could be a 5 star for me.

Came here with some co-workers for a goodbye lunch to one of them. Having never heard of this place, I quickly Unilocal’d Jerusalem Grill before heading to the very place only to find out they got a lunch buffet for only $ 10.99! Holy smokes, what a deal. Located along Winchester next to a Mexican restaurant, Jerusalem Grill serves Middle Eastern and Mediterranean cuisine while loud foreign music blasts throughout the establishment. Of course with the buffet deal, I couldn’t turn it down! The buffet menu changes on the daily, but on this day, I was able to sample the following: Greek salad Hummus Chicken kabob Some kind of fish filet Rice of two kinds Pita Falafel Namoura cake Everything was delicious! I finished two plates and really had room for more but didn’t want to look like more of a fatty than I already do ehehe Service was also pretty good. Our party of 5 were at first stuffed into a corner with barely any room to move, but were kindly relocated thanks to our server. Also, our waters were always filled and the people were nice. No attitude here! In the end, would most likely come again with some other co-workers and try their lamb!

I enjoyed the $ 10.95 lunch buffet. For the price, I had access to a spring salad, chicken kebab, hummus, pita bread, sauteed zucchini and winter squash, and much more. Because I came here the day after Mother’s Day, the extended menu was not used. However, I thought the restaurant has a nice charm. There is even a mural of Jerusalem’s Wailing Wall and some musical instruments in the corner. Hmm… I wonder what those could be for.

Took my son to lunch here Friday afternoon. We looked at their menu and chose the buffet. Not the biggest fan of the Buffet version of most decent restaurants. Jerusalem manages to pull it off. The soup is warmed and is delicious. The choices at the buffet were limited but executed well. Pita, salad, hot sauce, hummus, chicken, carrots, beets, shawarma, falafel, rice, zucchini(that is excellent), and soup; this menu probably varies each day. The service is adequate. The server got to most things but as it is a buffet, the servers were not attentive as say an average sit down restaurant. The place was busy. Overall I will accept slow service when the food excels. A second visit is in order. FYI waitress dropped my cc and could not find it for a few minutes. No biggie. Falafel balls were right on the money; crisp on the outside and delish on the inside. My son had the shawarma. Good but not their sexiest item. Pita bread has nice texture and is fresh tasting. A success story for my first visit.

I gave this place another try and they really disappointed. First the positives, the waitress was excellent. The falafels were good. Our party ordered various meat kabobs. The chicken was dry and chewy and tasted like leftovers from the lunch buffet. Really bad. The koobideh was rare inside which is bad considering it’s ground meat and not safe to eat when rare. The inside still had the buffet tables set up from lunch and took away from any good vibe this place has. The price is obviously too high for the under performing quality of the food. Sorry about the harsh review, but these things are easy to correct if they want to…

This place has a lot of potential for their lunch buffet if adding more dishes. Lunch buffet: $ 10.99/ person Food selection: very limited Salad: hummus, dolmas, mixed green salad Entrees: 2 diff types of grilled chicken Side dishes: grilled vegetables, falafel, pita bread, rice, fried cauliflower, chick peas soup Desert: only one type — namoura cake Overall, we thought their fried cauliflower, grilled vegetables, mixed green salad & dolmas are a bit too oily. You literally could taste oil in your palate. Would come back again to venture their regular menus items instead of buffet.

Delicious and affordable! $ 10.99 buffet included salad(mixed greens, pine nuts, and strawberries dressed in vinaigrette — so much nicer than your standard iceberg and carrots with ranch dressing), hummus, chicken kabob, falafel, grilled vegetables, roasted cauliflower, chicken in tomato and olive sauce, braised chicken with lemon, rice pilaf with grilled vegetables, lentil soup, fresh pita bread, dessert, and more. Drinks — we had hibiscus tea and mint lemonade — were $ 1.99. Will have to come back and try the other dishes. Usually, at lunch, there is the option to order off the menu or to enjoy the buffet, but they had sold out of everything on Mother’s Day(that should definitely tell you something about how good the food is) the day before, so there was only the buffet on Monday. However, the owners offered to make us a dish if we didn’t see items we thought we’d enjoy on the buffet line. Very accommodating, but unnecessary as we all really enjoyed every dish already offered. You can even get a to-go box for your buffet. If you work nearby, do yourself a favor and put this place into your lunch rotation!

This chef cooks really well! When you are a foodie and can cook like me, you learn to appreciate the balance of flavors. I enjoyed everything I ate! In particular, the falafel and lamb chop stood out. The falafel had the right amount of parsley in it to bring forth a more aromatic experience than previous standard falafel. The lamb chop was flavorful, tender and not gamy. For the more value sensitive customers, I must point out that the portions are large and therefore price is relatively great! Definitely gonna take my sisters and mom there to try!

Super impressed with Jerusalem Grill. Being a vegetarian, I was not too keen to visit this joint initially as i thought there werent too many choices but a Groupon for the place changed my mind. My husband and i got the maghdoor plate which is eggplant and chickpeas in a tomato sauce served with rice. We also got a falafel veggie plate, small hummus and baklava. All of the food was very tasty(the hummus was to die for & I really know my hummus!). Everything was fresh and reasonably priced. To top off the evening our server was excellent. She was not over the top friendly but her service was to the point and I was impressed by how courteous she was. 10 stars to her! The damage was about $ 45 with tax and tip and before the Groupon.

This place is under new ownership and I must say that it has made a world of a difference. We had the hummus with pine nuts as an appetizer and it came with fresh baked pita bread. It was DELICIOUS! I had the Jerusalem mix for my main course with rice and salad. My wife had the lentil soup and we thought that both of them were very good. There are a lot of great looking dishes on the menu so I will be back to try them for sure. To top it all off the mint tea and baklava were just simply perfect. Everyone we were with loved their food and said they would be back soon. They are good for large groups. We came for a birthday party with about 15 people and we all had excellent service.

What an amazing place to eat at. The staff are doing their best to please you, and you can see that. The service is so friendly and knowledgable. The food… Wow! The shawarma is very delicious and the meat is so tender and juicy. You can’t get enough of it. The place is pretty good size, and perfect for families or small groups. I love how they mixed their music selection. Also, the place is very clean and neat. If you go there, you should try the lamp chops, it is very delicious. Also, the food portions are very good, it fells you up! The manager always makes sure that you leave and you are happy. The staff again is very friendly and respectful. Diffidently I am going back there again. I can’t get enough of their food.

Tried this restaurant for lunch for the first time and was very pleased with most of our selections. I was a bit disappointed when I ordered the chicken shawerma and was told they were out so I had the lamb shawerma instead and it was tasty and mostly tender. My companion had the falafel sandwich which he really enjoyed. We shared the tabouli, hummus, kibeh and baba ganoush. All were very good and with a good price performance except we thought the kibeh was a bit high in price, even though tasty. The tahini sauce was to die for! Nice thing about this place is you can order from the menu and not be stuck with a buffet which some restaurants don’t give you that option… it’s buffet or nothing. The place was nicely appointed in décor and the gentleman that served us was very pleasant and concerned that we enjoyed our meal. We’ll definitely return to try the chicken shawerma.

Just had lunch in here. Place is cozy and clean. I’ve been offered to have their buffet by nice cashier but i was not at the mood for buffet but wrap or sandwich :) next time I’ll come and try their buffet, it looks nice deal with 10.59 I guess with all you can eat . I had lamb beef shawarma sandwich with meal, i liked the bread and salad inside the sandwich more then meat lol. I’m giving this place 5 stars bcuz everything is handmade and authentic same as in Middle East.

first time we got to-go, the fries were small and well seasoned, the pita sandwiches were really good. we decided to do it again. the second time we got to-go, the fries were steak fries, not as good, but whatever, the lamb chops, were a little small, but good, and the pita sandwich wasn’t the same as the first time(even though it should have been), but it was still good. the third time, we got to-go, the fries were crinkle-cut(saaaay whaaat!?) and left us unimpressed, the lamb was a little more gamey, and not as good as the previous time. overall, we keep coming back, but it wish there was more consistency.

Inexpensive, yummy, good selection. I really like this place, and can’t believe it isn’t packed every day at lunch and every night for dinner. $ 11 for the lunch buffet is a real bargain, looking at the selection and quality of food. The only reason(s) I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is that the music can be too loud, there is no beer or wine, and on one visit the table wobbled something wicked. But really, these are minor compared to how good the food is and reasonably priced it is. I’ve been three times — twice for dinner, once for the buffet lunch, and never been disappointed in the quality or quantity of food. I’ve had the Mensef(lamb shank)(beware, it takes extra time to prepare, which the waiter didn’t tell me), It was fork tender and spiced perfectly. I’ve had the stew(Goulash Manzalh), and at the lunch buffet I sampled the salads(fresh and good), the dolmas, hummus, two kinds of chicken and the rice. The chef here knows how to prepare food.

Delicious, took me back to my grandmother… The food is an experience, such as you are eating home-cooked food that made with love. I really appreciate how the meat was tender and soft, the spices were used with care and not overwhelming to the palate. Over all it’s a nice place to eat and I hope that more folks go because it’s a lovely little place off the beaten path.

WOW this place is so delicious! Awesome service, generous portions, juicy burgers. We ordered the: — Schnitzel Fried chicken with fries: Good fried chicken — it’s a fried fillet, not like traditional fried chicken. Less greasy, more tasty. Order the hot sauce. — Jerusalem Burger: SOGOOD. The beef was so juicy, the perfect cook. — Chicken Shawarma wrap: HUGE. Very tasty, tahini sauce lettuce chicken etc tastes great Owner and staff are very friendly. If you live in the area definitely check it out, one of the better halal joints in Campbell and south San Jose.

Yummy food. Sweet server(Tammy). Unclean conditions. I went to this restaurant today for the first time. The food was very good with generous portions. The baklava with ice cream was yummy for sure. What bothered me was watching the employees go in and out of the restaurant, into and around the restaurant, without washing their hands. Not sure, I’ll be back, unfortunately.

We got there at just before 7 pm on Sunday with a reservation from OpenTable and found it empty. The owner said that they close at 7 pm but would stay open to serve us. Then we found out that he had taken it over a few months ago and changed the menu from Israeli to Middle Eastern. For the price the food was good but it would have been better for someone with more experience with this menu. They do have music on certain nights which would make it very noisy.

Super delicious middle eastern soul food! We ordered the Jerusalem plate of marinated chicken and onions and the kofta kebabs — ground beef and spices cooked on skewers. The hummus was so good! One of my favorite place to dine in since the new ownership. The food and the atmosphere is amazing. The service is excellent. I came here with my huge family of 8; we were kind of difficult but the waiters were extremely patient and friendly. We had the best flavorful beef kefta, chicken kabab, chicken shawarma, hummus, babaganosh, pickles, fires, taboli, some Yummy falafel and pita bread in the South Bay. We will be coming back here again and again.

My wife and I had heard about and driven by this place so we checked it out on a Thursday night. It was quiet with perhaps half a dozen tables occupied. The hostess/server was extremely welcoming and gracious and provided us with very good service thoughout dinner. We started a gratis serving of pitas and salsas that were spicy and flavorful. We then went with the Hummus with ground beef and pine nuts appetizer and that was outstanding. My wife had a burger(very good) and I had the Chicken Shuwarma(good but needed a dash of salt). We also had some sides of mugadra(a rice dish) and green beans, both of which were very good. It’s not a fancy place but the service was first rate, the menu had a lot of variety and the food was very tasty. Not sure why it’s said to have a bar though as I didn’t see any evidence that they serve any liquor… didn’t ask though. We’ll go back for sure!

I went there today for Christmas dinner with some friends primarily because it was one of the very few places that was open on Christmas day. I ordered Lamb Kabab with 2 side dishes. The portion was very small, and the meat was so tough, I could not even cut it with the knife. One of my friends had the same thing, and she gave up on eating it after she took 2 bites. The price for this skimpy portion of tough bland dish was $ 15. I know a great Mediterranean restaurant in Palo Alto that serves food 100 times better than this for under $ 10 and the service is way better there. The waiter was looking gloomy the entire time we were there, and the guy who brought over our dinner was only slightly better. They scored two stars only because they were open today, and one of my friends who ordered lamb shank loved it. Because there are so many better Mediterranean restaurants around, I know I will not go back there if I could help it.

Mediterranean restaurant that was a surprise find for us. It had multi cuisine. We tried the vegetarian options. Hummus with tahini was perfect one for me. The veggie falafel plate was very good. Special mention about their dessert baklava. It was delicious. I loved it. The service was really good. They helped us as we were vegetarian… The guys who own the place were so good and served with warmth. They had live music and the girl was singing beautifully and it added a wonderful feel to the place. It is little difficult to notice the place when you drive by. But a must try.

A nice surprise and find, thanks to Unilocal.Good fresh food. Hummus was very rich and smooth. The roasted eggplant side the owner suggested was fantastic. Chicken shwarma and kefta kabobs were solid. Lamb kabobs were a little tough and overcooked unfortunately. But everything else was great and love finding and supporting little ethnic restaurants like this.

Expensive, but good food and nice service. I knew that I did not want a big dish so I really enjoyed the hummus with beef shawarma. The hummus is smooth and creamy and the pita is soft but sturdy. The salmon dinner portion is huge and it would be enough to serve two people. Overall, the servings are large and they give your plenty of food. While the wait can be long, the service is kind and they even brought out pictures of the menu for us when it came to ordering. This has set my standards for great hummus and I cannot wait to go back and order it again.
