Ok, I believe I have everyone beat as far as the most ridiculous eating experience ever… I met a friend of mine over breakfast and ordered a simple bacon, poached eggs and pancakes meal. After waiting over 30 mins the food arrived and I noticed my poached eggs were hard boiled to the point of being completely dry! Ridiculous way to serve a poached egg I thought so I kindly asked for them to try it again but this time not«hard boiled.» So after waiting 10 mins the waitress returns with one egg first and actually says, «here is one egg for now, the chef is working on the other one» lol, what? So here is the one egg she brought that looked like a science project gone bad. You tell me, have you ever seen a poached egg like that? But that wasn’t the worst part, that happened when I discovered there were red onions in my friggin pancakes!!! No kidding! Anyway, the manager was lost, didn’t know what to do or say so she asked me what I wanted? I said I don’t think I want to pay for this meal and let’s just call is even. Good luck Denny’s, I miss the old days when service and quality actually meant something.

Please Lupe(the waitress) if u are in a bad mood, just ask for a break, but don’t ignore us every single time u pass by our table, it’s annoying and disrespectful, that attitude just makes us want to talk to the manager to get u fired.

They bleached the tile floors when we were waiting for our breakfast at the counter. We moved twice, still smelled it strongly. Shouldn’t be inhaling bleach while trying to eat. Then after a time sitting at the other side of the restaurant I noticed I’d forgotten my phone. We went to retrieve at our former table. The person sitting there said they gave it to the waitress to put in lost and found at register which was a short few feet from that table. It wasn’t there. We, with the guy who turned it in, asked the manager who asked the waitress. She finally gave it up to the manager!!! Crazy! She may have forgotten she had it but we won’t be going back. Just not a nice place for a quiet breakfast.

45 minutes for a side of seasoned fries. My friend ordered chips and cheese and that also took 45 minutes. It’s just chips and cheese! It doesn’t not take that long to place chips on a plate and cheese in a bowl. Out of 4 dishes mine came out last even though all I ordered was fries and the rest of my party ordered meals. Absolutely ridiculous. People who came after us got their food way before we did.

I have been here a few times for a quick breakfast and every time it was a terrible experience. The place is always empty but I have to wait 15min for the waitress to take my order and it took another 30 min for the food. In that time I never got my cup of coffee refilled. The food is not even mediocre and the long wait never helps. Not helping is the rancid look and smell of the place. After the third time I will never come here again. With so many unique businesses in Campbell, this place is an eye soar that needs to be demolished.

Called last night at about 10pm to make a pick up order. A man took my order and I hung up. Less than five minutes later I can’t make the trip to pick up my food anymore so I call to cancel. «The foods already done you have to come get it» «I’m sorry I didn’t know you guys would finish all the food so fast, but we can’t pick it up anymore»(30 $ worth) (He clearly gets angry and starts yelling) «WHATDOWEDOWITHTHISFOOD? THISISRIDICULOUS! YOUHAVETOCOMEPICKTHISUP!!» (Me talking in a very polite voice) «I’m sorry this is ridiculous sir but I can’t pick up the food so I don’t know what else to tell you» «THISISRIDICULOUS!!!»(hangs up the phone on me) K

Denny’s has always been a guilty pleasure for me, until now. I went in to have breakfast with my girlfriend and wanted to buy a newspaper. I walked up to the cashier and they refused to make change for a dollar. Can you imagine losing a life long customer because you don’t want to open the register? Anyway, Sara ’ s Kitchen is just down the street, has much better food and had no problem opening the cash register to make change for the register.

came in here for a late dinner around 9pm was seated and asked what we wanted to drink right away which was a plus since I was starving from being at the hospital all day. our waitress Yvonne I think was her name was great, really funny and easy to conversate with! food took 10 – 15 minutes which I didn’t really mind since I was busy catching up with old friends, once the food came out it was warm and delicious probably the best food I’ve ever had at a dennys. thank you Yvonne for being so attentive and being a great waitress and making our visit great! the only reason why it’s not 5 stars is because when I was near the end of my meal a lady walked in who I remembered from the hospital I seen her in the waiting room at the hospital yelling with a bump on her head like she’s been discharged. anywho she walked in all dirty with grass all over her self, she got seated, gets up then walks out and then walks back in creepy laughing I’m sorry but I felt so uncomfortable so I paid then left right away.

Its OK, I come here typically on Tuesdays for the K.E.F. night. Usually pretty empty, mostly people in there 60 – 70’s eating here. I cant really complain too much, kids get what they want, I get a club sandwich. Don’t expect to be wow’d, if it looks sketchy on the menu(spaghetti, fish, steak) chances are you will be confirmed when it hits the table. Service is decent, although depending on the server could be really lacking. I’ve been here before where it seemed like only 3 people working the whole restaurant and that’s including the cook. I’ll go back of course for a cheap meal that I don’t have to spend time cooking.

Mind you three stars is a good thing for breakfast place! The service here is fabulous. It’s still a Denny’s the food isn’t great but I have a weekly meeting at this restaurant and the servers have been here for years. I feel, they’re fabulous at their jobs, the manager greets you and helps take care of tables whenever it’s needed, you rarely see people waiting to sit or pay(except for right when our meeting lets out and we bombard the cash register). The workers really treat it like it’s a nicer restaurant than it is, if only it weren’t Denny’s food and still had the same employees it could be five stars.

Seated promptly, but the booth was too small to fit a baby in carseat. Offered car seat holder thing that was totally unsafe looking. Did not hold the carseat in place at all. Put carseat on table instead. Order taken, food delivered, instructions taken… but food was cold and toast was not toasted. Disappointed. If you cant toast toast… get a new job.

Never again, never ever again! Seating was swift, seated in the corner booth next to the door with no wait. We noticed something was wrong when it took a long time/about 10 – 15 minutes to get asked if we wanted our drinks and even longer to get our orders taken. And then the wait for food… it was close to an hour before our plates started appearing. While leaving I noticed an ad on the door for a cook and then it hit me… that might have been the problem! People were arriving but no one was being seated even though booths were available. Our waitress tried her best to make good of the situation but to no fault of hers, it was just taking too long… Would never go back there again…

Last time I went they had two people working with twenty customers. I feel bad for the workers they look very stressed. There is a man named Luis and he is always there alone at night. I feel horrible for him he is always trying to help the whole restaurant. He is the sweetest man! I call to order a to go order and was put on hold for over 7 minutes and then I continue to call for an hour after that continuously with no answer at all. I then had to send my boyfriend there to put the order in person and get it. The lack of scheduling is ridiculous. Its not the workers fault but a corporate issue. Who makes the schedule for this place? And why can’t we even put to go orders in?

Went here for dinner one night. Made a mistake by ordering steak. I asked for my steak to be medium well, and they came out with a bloody red steak. I asked them to remake it and they charred it. Not coming back here ever again.

What can I say, the prices are good. However the service is crap! It’s like the servers here don’t know a single thing about customer service. Not happy with my visit.

Not bad not great. Weren’t very busy and when we came to eat today but service was still horrible. First off, we waited to be seated for a few minutes when only two or three tables were occupied. And then they proceeded giving My infant daughter a greasy and dirty high chair. I cleaned it myself and couldn’t stand the way my hands felt after. It was gross and I felt bad for my daughter having to sit in it. Second, the waitress was short with us and only came to the table to give us our food and drinks. And it took what felt like days to get our food. We have come here before and its not terrible, but today was by far the worst service I had at any Denny’s. Plus the women’s bathroom smells like old urine and needed to be cleaned. You’d think with the restaurant be empty like it was, they’d have more time to clean chairs and bathrooms, and serve food faster. However, our food was good. Not great… but good. So I’ll give them that.

My wife’s uncle had asked us to meet Sunday 9am at Denny’s on Bascom Ave. Located in Campbell close to Pruneyard this Denny’s looked like any other, until we entered the front door, and realized immediately why there were few Unilocal reviews for this Denny’s. Unilocalers are primarily in their 20s. This place looked like a retirement home, with a lot of folks long in the tooth! No wonder my 82 year old uncle choose this place –right among his own kind! My wife and I, both in our early 60s were among the youngest there. You Unilocalers were still wasted in bed, from all night partying Saturday night! I was one of the very few in shorts, certainly the only guy wearing purple flower Birkenstocks, with a few old farts of course wearing socks with sandals! We got a booth for 4, with the wives on the inside, and the men on the outside. Big mistake, as we will see. We were seated immediately, and our orders taken promptly by a smiling waitress about a dozen years younger than me –a nice way of saying middle aged! I ordered the red, white, and blue grand slam for $ 8, with $ 0 tap water –I wasn’t about to pay $ 2.50+ for orange juice. My wife got the $ 7 vegetarian omelett with $ 2 coffee. My meal came with two 6″ blueberry pancakes covered with sliced red strawberry and whipped cream and white icing over pancakes –hence the name red, white and blue! It also came one scrambled egg, string potatoes, two sausages. Everything perfect, but then you shouldn’t mess up breakfast! The wife couldn’t start her meal without tabasco sauce –and she knows I’m not touching any food with hot sauce on it! Me and tabasco sauce are like me and my ex-wife –we don’t mix! Meanwhile I notice something hovering onto my toes of my size 8 purple flower Birkenstocks –it was my wife’s uncle’s size 14 feet, the ones that are so comfortable that he wears them, complete with holes in the sides! Next time let my wife sit on the outside across from him! A new party sits across the aisle, and among the rabble they bring a wailing toddler. I didn’t spend money to go out and listen to this! I make a beeline for the cashier to pay the bill and say hasta la vista baby! My wife goes to the bathroom, but the line is too long. Now if I had let her sit on the outside, she could have gone earlier before the riffraff arrived!

I normally come here with a friend almost every Saturday. The service and food are usually great, whether it’s busy or not. This particular day, though, the diner was virtually empty. I asked the waitress to give us a couple more minutes to figure out what we want. When we finally did, the waitress never came back to take our order. 10 – 15 minutes pass and we had to ask another waitress to help us. Thirty minutes later, still with a less than half empty restaurant, we got our food. I ordered a steak, well-done, and it was quite possibly the worst steak I had ever had. I didn’t even finish it. I would have given two stars, but this was just one bad experience out of plenty of good experiences. Hopefully next Saturday will be better.

The one thing you will notice right away is the really bad lighting. It almost seems like they dimmed the lights so the lovers can enjoy their time here. The times I have come here it was never busy, but this past Sunday it was a completely different story. Everyone and their moms, sisters, step kids, wives, sisters, twice separated cousins mom was there! The place itself looks run down. And it brings everyone’s mood down. Sure the workers try and keep it as tidy as possible, but there is so much the employees can do. The Staff: It almost seemed like they were used to a mellow shift, this Sunday they were running around like crazy. They did take a bit to bring us our food and the check. The Food: Let me just say, the melon here SUCKS! It was not ripe and it felt like I was chewing on a jawbreaker. Aside from that, everything else was good. We always use coupons and don’t see why you wouldn’t. we got $ 5off when you spend $ 15 or more!
