My boyfriend and I have become somewhat regulars at this little spot over the last couple months. The food is diner food, but delicious. The service is always friendly and quick. We have only been on weeknights, around dinner time, and it hasn’t been crowded at all. They have TV’s so we were comfortable going there during the Sharks playoffs. The parking lot can be a bit confusing, but there is ample space so just don’t drive through too quick!

Nasty ambience and clientele. As far as the food is concerned, it is typical comfort food. Potato fries tasted and smelled like they had been fried in an old used oil that has been reused too many times. The BLT sandwich was a regular sandwich and cost around $ 10. The nasty part was the restaurant clientele. It looked like it was frequented by gang members. Really nasty look. The bathroom was also dirty. You need to get a «token» to unlock the bathroom. I went in to wash my hands before eating sandwich but the single room bathroom was so dirty(and out of paper towel) I wished I had not bothered to come in. I left totally grossed out. It also smells nasty outside. Like a whiff of clogged toilet right before you enter the front door. The restaurant looked like it could be a hidden gem and the reviews were so great I was looking forward to trying it out, but I was too grossed out to enjoy the food.

Classic diner. I’ve been here a number of times for breakfast and have been very pleased but knew the real test would be non breakfast items(something some diners do not do well at). Success! We came for prime rib on Friday but they were sold out so we had a steak and a burger. The burger wasn’t as seasoned as I would have liked but the steak was divine. Great place!

Went here the other day around 11pm and it was fairly busy. They seated us right away and got us water fairly quickly. Our server took our order pretty quick after that and made some good recommendations. Our food took a little longer than it probably shouod have but they were busy and it was late so we totally understand. My wifes grilled cheese was a bit cold when it came out and my breakfast item was hot. Food was pretty good though, we would probably go with something other than the grilled cheese next time. Kudos for the good service when they were busy though. Parking really sucks though its cramped and there was barely any spaces.

My wonderful friend brought me here for breakfast and I was pleasantly surprised! We had chicken fried steak, fries, eggs, and a pancake. Our server was very sweet and attentive. It was pretty busy the entire time we were there and we were seated right away. I would say check it out!

I work in a restaurant that sells breakfast, lunch and dinner, but after a long dinner shift, I always like to come here for a good late-night breakfast meal. Their steak and eggs dish is delicious. Service is good too! The ladies are welcoming – make me feel like I’m in good hands every time I come by, alone or not.

I tried really hard to find something wrong with this place… but alas I failed!!! Been about 3 years since I’ve been here. The original owners have both since passed away. The daughter took over the business but sold it. The new owner kept all the long time employees and the waitress says they are treaten very well :) OK now for the food. I had the Monte Cristo and added grilled onions. Very big sandwich! But more importantly delish! My wife ordered the Tri Tip. very good… forget Winchester BBQ. come here for your Tri Tip! We both ordered the Hash browns… I don’t think I have ever had better. crispy on outside and light and airy on inside(how is that possible? They’re hash browns!) Simply magic. And the flavor… WOW. If you want DAMGOOD comfort food don’t look any further, this is your place… oh yah forgot to add the servers are very friendly 10 stars :) :)

I really like this place, reasonable prices and good food. The prime rib on Friday and Saturday are huge and a good price for what you get. Really good coffee too. I did have breakfast once at the counter and the service was very slow and consequently my eggs were cold and the hash browns were luke warm. I will go back and let them know about this. I am sure they will do whatever is right.

Fun! Sadly, I’ve never made it to the Prime Rib weekend special, but this place is a gem any night. It’s very authentic, American diner cuisine, with décor to match. In other words, it’s the kind of place that makes you want to take a road trip. The hours are also later than almost everything around, since the Bay Area tends to go to bed early, so it’s great for night owls as well.

A super old school, diner feel. This place has been around for ages. I prefer this place over Denny’s, or Carrows anyway. They’re open 24 hours, and the best thing is that it is just down the street from me. They also have an extensive menu, not just breakfast, but also sandwiches, burgers, prime rib, lots of desserts, pies, muffins, milkshakes, etc. What I love about this place is that the servers are friendly and the food always comes out pretty fast. This is a great place for some comfort food, or after your late night partying or even late night cravings. The price and portion is what makes this place worth it. Quality may not always be the best but it’s great drunk food. Lol They do have bomb ass Chicken Fried Steak though… That’s always a must. That sausage gravy Boy! Haha Parking is never an issue as I always come late night. There’s a parking lot in the back.

Let me start off by saying if you’re hungry and you and your significant other are in the middle of the«I can’t decide, you pick» conversation, be decisive and chose The Mini Gourmet. It will change your relationship for the better. The wife and I came for breakfast after passing this hole in the wall place repeatedly while running errands. We dropped off the minions at school and brought the smallest, toothless minion with us to embark on a journey to end our Hunger Games. I ordered eggs over easy with sausage patties, hash browns, and sourdough toast. The wife had scrambled eggs, NY strip steak and hash browns. The steak needed a bit of seasoning but A1 was the droid she was looking for. Otherwise, it was one of the best breakfasts I’ve eaten since sitting in front of of the TV in my underoos watching He-Man(last week). In addition, the service was amazing and take note parents of toothless creatures, the high chairs convert into holders for car seats! Mind blown yet? It should be. Eat here and thank me later!

A greasy spoon, a dive, and if you arent into that then don’t go. I love it and wouldnt have it any other way. Before you pay attention to the town snobs opinion of this place, consider what you’re going into. You want 5 star dining with a view? Skip it. But if you want friendly service and hearty food, grab a seat at the counter watch a game and enjoy their company, and indulge.

A great, old school diner. The menu was huge and very inexpensive for the area. This is a diner, so it’s not going to be the best food ever. However, it’s a great place to hang out with your friends and eat comfort food. I had the chocolate chip pancakes with whipped cream and chamomile tea. My food was delicious. The tea was Stash(in case you’re a tea snob). The restaurant was almost empty on a Sunday evening. Our waitress was fantastic. I will definitely be back!

First time here… it’s 3:18am on Sunday morning. Friendly service, but the timing could be better. I was told the paper got stuck(the way the cooks get the orders), and that it would take another 2 or 3 minutes to get my grilled chicken sandwich. This was 10 minutes after I ordered. All in all, it took about 25 minutes for me to get my sandwich. Sandwich was alright, nothing special. I guess you can’t complain much for a restaurant that’s open 24 hours. *EDIT: I originally rated this 3 stars, but the waitress gave me 10% off for waiting. Bumped up to 4 stars. Human kindness goes a long way.

Breakfast for 2. — Ambiance(4⁄5) Typical diner ambiance. — Service(4⁄5) Reasonably fast and very friendly. Water could have been refilled faster and paying took a long time. — Chicken Fried Steak with Eggs, $ 11.95(4⁄5) Really nice gravy smothering the chicken fried steak. Meat was a just tad on the mushy side but generally really good. Hash browns were the epitome of what hash browns should be. — Value(5⁄5) Considering the generous portion size and all that the dish includes(chicken fried steak, 2 eggs, hash browns, and toast), this is superb value. — Final Word I can definitely see myself enjoying Mini Gourmet at all hours. Great choice for breakfast though.

Great little breakfast spot. Super busy in a Sunday but managed to get in. I asked for my bacon extra crispy and it was Perfect. Usually it’s never crispy the way I want it. The pancakes were light and fluffy. The eggs were cooked how I ordered them. The sausage was delicious. Coffee and mimosas — best little breakfast place I’ve been in in a long time

My friend and I had dinner here recently and really enjoyed ourselves. The place is like a time warp. Very old school diner type place right across from Valley Medical Center. Its a small place, only about 20 tables. My friend was running late so I sat at the table for awhile enjoying my tea. The waitresses were good about checking on me and making sure I did not want to order anything while I waited. My friend finally arrived and we ordered. I had tri tip salad with balsamic vinaigrette. The salad was delicious. Lots of good toppings with cheese, avocado and tomato and very nicely cooked tri tip. The steak had good flavor and was pretty tender. My friend had the mushroom Swiss burger with fries. She really liked it. They were even able to cook her burger rare which most places won’t do. It was messy but yummy. If you are looking for an old school dinner type place, check this place out. Reasonably priced with good food. I am sure they do good breakfast as its seems like that type of place. One strange thing was that you needed a token to access the outside bathrooms, sort of like a gas station. I guess it keeps the riff-raff away.

Came here for the first time with a friend after our gym session. Ordered the 4 pieces of bacon with over medium eggs, hash browns & wheat toast. The food was okay, nothing you couldn’t get at your typical Denny’s or iHop, I tried my friend’s sausage & I’d pass on that. The outer layer was too crunchy & awkward. & trust me, I love sausages. Service was okay, our waiter brought my friend out bacon rather than sausage & instead of just letting him keep the bacon, he literally had my friend scoop his bacon up to put on a plate to trade with sausage. Never experienced that before, but hey… Whatever works I guess. Overall I don’t think I’d go out of my way to come back here. I do however like how they’re having a promotion deal where it’s buy one meal, get one half off. $ 23(including $ 4 tip) for 2 people isn’t too bad.
