Excellent service! Justin was a fantastic server! Although we would have preferred a bow tie instead of tie.

A restaurant that is good for groups! The dishes were very delectable. The bread was one of my favorite side. We ordered the warm spinach salad. I loved the pecans and the cheese in the salad. For the main dishes, we ordered the stuffed chicken and lasagna. The chicken was tender and it filled with cheese and ham. An astonishing dish! The lasagna was the best one I’ve ever tried! The flavor was decent.

I do a lot of company catering here… Janelle D. helped me and she is such a sweetie! If you are looking for a great server with knowledge of the restaurant and menu Denzel is the best!

I love this place when I get to eat at the restraunt. But when I get to go their portion sizes are literally HALF of what we get when dining there. It’s ridiculous. If you’re going just eat there.

1-9-2016 came in at 8:00 The hostess and the host(3 people in total) did a terrible, terrible job at handling the front. They kept standing and chit chatting with each other and completely ignored the guests coming in

Ok– so it’s a chain. I didn’t walk in with high expectations. We’ve only ever had Buca once other than this past weekend and that was maybe 5 years ago. Decided to come back again. I made a reservation, but honestly, the place is like 75% empty. You don’t need it unless it’s on a weekend during their peak hours or a holiday. Food: — Complimentary bread with a olive oil and balsamic vinegar dip: We liked this. The bread was warm and soft. I make better olive oil dip, but it was still good. — Seafood trio: Comes with fried calamari, fried shrimp, and mussels marinara. Really liked the spice of the mussels. The calamari was good with the marinara. Could care less for the shrimp. — Mozzarella garlic bread: PASS! — Beppo’s Soffini Cuscini: Gnocchi, pancetta, and red onions in a spicy sauce. This was bomb! I loved it. So glad I had leftovers to bring to work the next day too lol — Baked Ziti: PASS! I would probably come back again. It’s overpriced. For 3 of us(child included), it was close to $ 100– which could’ve been used elsewhere. like sushi or hotpot haha Service was so-so. Located at the back of the Prunyard. Lots of parking.

First time trying this place, usually go to SF location. I came alone during pasta day with 50% off coupon. The server was either not in a good mood or can’t be bothered to properly serve one person(he was much nicer to the bigger party). I was kind of neglected for a while. Oh well, can’t complain 50% off small pasta. Don’t think it’s worth the full price to begin with.

Fairly standard fare family-style Italian restaurant. We don’t often come to places like this, but we received a gift certificate and gave it a try recently. Family style means that you order dishes to be shared with others. Be advised that the portions are quite generous. A small is said to feed 2 or more people, and I would emphasize the«more». For example, the veal parmagiana came with three pretty generous cuts of meat. Pasta dishes are similarly large. I can’t imagine what a true«large» serving must look like. Even the small garlic bread appeared to be an entire loaf. We got a smattering of pasta, meat, and fish dishes, and in general they were pretty good. I appreciated the fact that the sauces weren’t too heavy, but they were perhaps a little too salty for my taste. My son ordered the kids meal chicken parmagiana, which came with a sizable side of spaghetti with marinara sauce. It’s a really good deal for the amount of food that he received, but arguably he could have just eaten from the rest of our order. The place is decorated with that irritating kitsch that plagues a lot of restaurants like this. Come on folks, we know we’re in a Italian restaurant. We don’t need pictures of Frank Sinatra and Tommy Lasorda to remind us. One thing we didn’t appreciate: even though the place was very un-busy — we sat down to eat at 5:00 on a weekday — when another family came in they were seated directly next to us in an otherwise empty dining room. This family — a loud, Asian family just like my own :) — proceeded to bicker incessantly over their order and then make innumerable phone calls to friends to request advice for what to order. When the bar was unable to make them a piña colada because their blender was broken, they then complained bitterly about it. When their food came, they made loud critical comments about it. I wouldn’t have minded so much expect I felt like I was eating with my mother-in-law. Service was slow, but I could tell the that the server was also being taxed by our neighbors and appeared to be the only one on duty in our entire area(two other families had arrived before we finished our meal). Maybe the slow pace is by design, though, as we did feel that our dinner was quite leisurely. So, in the end we thought this place was fine. Not sure if we’ll be back — unless someone gives us a gift certificate again.

Buca Di Beppo at the Pruneyard in Campbell was the perfect place to celebrate my mother’s birthday on December 24th, 2015. It was a bit too warm inside, but that’s the only complaint we had. Our waiter, Denzel, was very friendly, patient, and accommodating with our party of seven. We had a great time and the food was amazing. Can’t wait to go back! I highly recommend the baked ziti and veal saltimbocca! Those were two dishes that I hadn’t tried before, and they were both so delicious. We also ordered the mozzarella caprese and stuffed mushrooms. So good. And the entrée portions are huge! We had lots to take home with us and eat for lunch the next day before Christmas dinner.

HORRIBLE. Don’t do it. Ever. We took a large group here, 16 people and we were seated in a space for 12 people max. Everyone was elbowing each other. As we ordered our server had no idea what he was doing. He didn’t know his menu. Had issues with the bill, and had no idea about their gluten free menu. When I asked him to bring it, he said they didn’t have one, I told him«yes you do.» He argued with me and I said, «please go ask your manager for the menu.» He returned with gluten free menu… this was just one of he examples of horrible service we received. We were also told we had to order family style but our appitizer a were charged family style and served as regular portions. It was just so bad. I will never return here. The very worst part? A 15% tip was $ 90.00. I had to leave a $ 90.00 tip for the worst service I have ever received. We could have eaten Taco Bell and burned the other $ 500.00 and it would have been a better experience. Just avoid this place for groups.

Food: pretty good by Buca standards. Better than the other local Buca’s we’ve been to. Tiramisu dry and no coffee liqueur at all. Service: lousiest of all the Buca’s we’ve been to. If you want to be ignored by ALL restaurant staff on your holiday dining experience, come here. Today is Christmas day, we took my mom, just 3 of us. Of all the tables in the place, they sat us at a bar table, and we got ‘served’(ignored) by the bartender, while we watched the other tables down the way get flocked by waitstaff. It’s not like we made our reservations last minute — we made them at least a month ago. And for Christmas, they give us a moody, non-smiling bartender who begrudgingly took our orders, gave us our food, and rushed us with a bill. We new from the start, we got stuck with someone who was effin’ upset to be working today. Never checked in on us, disappeared for large chunks of time, my husband had to walk over to the bar to get a refill on soda because no one ever came. Never smiled, very unhappy, never proactively wished us a Merry Christmas, just hated being there and hated serving us. Ate our meals using our app plates, he said the restaurant doesn’t have entrée plates today(?). Our food took forever to arrive, and once it did, he disappeared forever. We felt very deserted and were pretty upset by meal’s end. It ruined our meal. My husband spoke to the manager who did nothing about it. Bartender still ignored us. Brought us our check before asking us if we wanted dessert, which we did. Bill came and the manager didn’t do anything to make us feel better about our poor experience. Mgr never came by to our table to apologize or anything. It’s not like we were aiming for comps, but s – t, for us to feel so bad about eating here, anything would have helped us feel a little better about our poor experience. I’m not asking for star treatment, but I don’t want to be treated like dirt either and made to feel so unimportant, and on a holiday. Some waiter came and after we had to ask for a bag for our to go food about 4 times, I let my frustration loose with the waiter. They ended up taking 10% off the bill. I’ll give ‘em one thing, they are consistent: no one said ‘thanks for coming, have a good day, or merry christmas’ as we were leaving. Guess they didn’t want to shock us by paying us some attention. This was our first and last time going to this location. Boo.

Came here for my moms birthday last night because our original destination was full. I quickly called Buca’s and was told that our wait would be 20 minutes. Great! Well that 20 quickly turned into 45+. Time to rant … the lobby was jam packed and servers were trotting guests meals through it? There’s got to be a health code violation there somewhere right? Total cluster. The guy working reservations was a complete grouch. Yes it was busy, yes the lobby was crowded and yes it was a cluster. But you should NEVER be rude to the customers and SMILE cuz«grumpy face» only makes guests feel unwelcome. We were finally seated in the bar area where I’d asked to sit 20 minutes before but was told those were reserved. Lies … all lies! Our server however was great. Bread and water came out quickly and she was super friendly. Thank goodness. We ordered: Large Caesar Salad: simple, crisp and I loved the tangy dressing. Green beans: Previously FROZEN and tasted icky. Fail Small Eggplant Parm: best dish we ordered although a bit greasy and I wished the eggplant was cut much thicker. Small Chicken and Sausage rigatoni: flavor was okay but the sauce was really soupy and the chicken and sausage was sparse for the price they charged. The Colossal Brownie dessert: it was huge and plenty for everyone at the table and they sang Happy Birthday to my mom which was nice. Over all the food is average at best and on the pricy side for what you get. The wait staff were great but the whole lobby situation was a mess. I don’t think we’ll be back for quite awhile.

Certainly not bad Italian food, but definitely the loosest version of «Italian» out there aside of Olive Garden. Had the baked ziti and apple gorgonzola salad based on other people’s recommendations here. The ziti was a bit on the dry side — order extra sauce if you get it. That said, sauce was very tasty, had flavor despite the super creamyness. Salad was absolutely delicious, and the dressing too, only it had waay too much salt in it. * If you want to go check it out, sign up for their email list a day beforehand. Within 24hr you get a coupon for free meal(certain options only, like the ziti), which is large enough for two people, so free dinner for two!

They have big portion of foos. Taste good, but super duper slow… takes forever to make the food. Prepare for the wait. It takes at least 30 mins to get the food ready

Where oh where do I even begin!!! So yesterday, on a Saturday night, we had dinner reservations for a party of 10 at 6pm. We arrive knowingly that part of our party was already there and seated. With no knowledge of where our table was, we walk up to this older gentleman who seems to be the manager and told him we had reservations and part of our party may be there already. He gives us a puzzled look and spoke to us like we were children or mentally incapacitated. Luckily my mom walked to the front and found us. Yeah thanks for nothing dude!!! Learn how to do your job! So we sit down at our table. We are placed in this small ass area against the wall by the movie theater. Our table is side by side next to this other large party. With little to no room, this room got stuffy and hotter than hell quickly! Okay I’m certainly not done yet… the table and chairs were still filthy, sticky and full of spaghetti sauce from the previous group! Do they NOT know how to clean?! Even my place mat was disgusting and obviously used! If that’s dirty, what else is?! Learn how to use a damn wash rag! Okay so now our food is starting to come out and a server knocks my aunt’s water down all over her phone, plate and my aunt herself!!! They brought napkins but they never brought her a new water nor did they take away her plate or now bowl full of water! Literally some of the food she had already served was swimming in the ice cold water. To top it all off they now have annoying photographers walking around taking your photo telling you it’s free! Lol pff we all know that’s NOT true. So we take our cheesy pictures. Okay fast forward toward the end of this pathetic visit… we came for my cousin’s birthday, some from our party had to leave early to catch the Shark’s game. So being that our table was literally squished back there, the people against the wall were literally backs against the wall and my cousin went to pick up her baby and knocked her head into a sharp corner there. She wasn’t bleeding but it was loud where you knew that was going to hurt. At that time the stupid photography guy was bombarding us with the previous photos trying to make a sale. We were like umm can we get some damn ice not some damn photos!!! Lol. They finally bring my cousin some ice and that same idiotic manager came to ask if she had bumped her head. That’s all, no concerns, no are you okays, nothing!!! Granted yes my cousin, who’s birthday it was, had to leave early but had they brought us dessert on the house or tried to make it better we would have been a bit more satisfied. The bill was outrageous for shitty food and shitty service. This place is a disgrace to Italy, all Italians and especially Italian food! I wouldn’t even call it that. So we walk out and my poor cousin with her ice and a headache in tow, goes to complain to the manager, that same idiotic dude… and as she walks away this fool rolls his eyes!!! Who the hell does that?! You call that costumer service? Btw he is about 5’10“ish with salt and pepper hair. If you decide to make the mistake in coming here, stay clear of him! Like I said in my tip, if I had the time I would wait outside in front telling all NOT to come in here!!! Do NOT waste your time or your hard earned money. Do us all a favor buca and shut down ASAP!!!

I was looking forward to some good Italian good. However it was over shadowed by the sticky table and chairs. Then my water was spilled all over my lap by the servers. Then to make matters worse my cousin bumped her head on a sharp corner of the wall. No apologies. No concern. I didn’t even get a refill for my spilled water. Management is horrible. BTW food is over priced. I won’t be coming back!

Oh look the pizza box for my to go order is on the ground… That has to be sanitary… Not to mention I have been sitting here for 45 mins on a pick up order because when I came to pick it up they apparently did not put my order in. I wish there could be negative starts given.

OMGSTARTEDAS A DISASTER. We used OPENTABLE for our reservations so we checked in at our time slot. We waited 20 minutes; while watching guests that arrived after us get seated. I thought«Here we go again«So I said something to the hostess and she said that she never checked us in. she promptly seated us and Jessica our waitress was at the table in seconds. We ordered Fried Mozzarella and the Quattro Forno. Jessica brought out the food very quickly and we LOVED it! The service was outstanding

I came here for lunch on the weekend and overall, I was somewhat satisfied. Let’s split this review into 2 portions: the food and the service. We ordered the mozzarella bread and the baked ziti as our order and it was great! At first we were a little hesitant on the price but since the portions were made for 2 or more, it made sense why it was a bit pricey. The mozzarella bread was so soft and seasoned just right but we still needed a bowl of marinara sauce on the side for dipping, which you MUST do. For the baked ziti, the portion was definitely filling for two people, maybe even 3! The ratio of cheese to ziti was just right and it was seasoned right as well. Aside from that though, I must know what type of bread they use because it is INCREDIBLY soft and pillowy. Now with all this good news, why would I not be giving Buca at least a 3 stars? The unfortunate drawback is the customer service. We were told that we were going to have a waiter for us but whoever he or she was, we never found out because we got a variety of random waiters instead. Not only that, we were constantly passed by a couple times when we were ready to order. No plates were given ahead of time and no questions regarding bread starters were asked neither until we brought it up. Most of the staff just seemed too distracted as we stayed our visit. In summary, the food was great and portions were filling, but unfortunately the service was less than mediocre compared to Maggiano’s. Will I be coming back or recommending this to others? I’m unfortunately going to have to say no… UNLESS you get it to go to avoid the service hassle.

Hello fellow Unilocalers, hope you’re doing well. So my brother booked 2 weeks in advanced for 16 people for my brother’s graduation, my birthday, and my early commencement. TWOWEEKS ago. We didn’t get in until beyond an hour. They ‘overbooked’, that’s extremely unprofessional. And we checked in before the said time and they said half an hour almost. Then they let in people(plenty of groups) who didn’t have reservations like group of 13 and whatnot before us. Are you kidding me?! I wasn’t pissed yet, I just thought it was UNPROFESSIONAL. but, I did get PISSED because there was this hostess who was a total B word, & I don’t often think that about anyone. She was UNPROFESSIONAL&RUDE. You should not be a hostess & should be fired, I would never hire someone like that because it would make my business look bad and also myself look bad, chain or no chain, there is that image to be maintained. You make your parents look bad, like they didn’t raise someone any better when you treat people people poorly regardless of whatever situation may come you’re way. You’re actions makes not just yourself look bad, but your managers(who were awesome by the way), you make them look like they couldn’t train you and clearly they have that potential. 5 Stars for the manger and everyone else, the manger did give us a discount, but the situation did ruin my mom’s appetite, my dad was upset, my aunt was upset, everyone was not just hungry, but we weren’t really happy. It was suppose to be a celebratory fun dinner. This location has been a family favorite from before my cousin’s rehearsal dinner(2001) to her husbands birthday(2015) up until today. The majority won’t ever be going here anymore, it’s just a tainted memory for some of them. I hope I don’t see that ***** anymore. FOOD wise if you have to get anything: get the Marconi Rosa(tip: plain bread is good in dipping in the sauce). That dish is good. The food was good. but experience is everything, vibes killed. - What really got me so angry was that the hostess rolled her eyes at my dad when he was talking to her instead of helping us out. He wasn’t yelling even though he wasn’t happy. It was just a middle school thing to do, it’s childish. She was rude & racist, should be fired, no joke. At some point when we were eating, no one noticed, but I did, she watched us and talked trash basically for a little to one of the waiters about us, and gave us dirty looks. So basic. Get class. - Waiters: really nice, the guy was super sweet, honestly the place was really busy so they didn’t really come around to check on us or anything, but the girl waiter was awesome too, nothing beyond and above, but good. Left them a nice tip anyways. Although I can see someone people saying, they didn’t deserve it. ^Hostess: you could of ruined that for them too if it were another group, so think of your actions and how it affects the domino chain. They wouldn’t be getting a tip. sucks right? Your fault. - My cousin believes they had the racist card in hand from the get go because we were there early and they let a bunch of non-asians in one after one after one after one… - Please don’t overbook your restaurant, things happen so I get that, but it looks bad whether you’re 5 stars or 3 stars, no matter. And don’t have rude people hired, and if they are, have them fired. You never know who you will meet, doesn’t matter who they are, everyone doesn’t deserve bad service like that. my cousin who was present works at twitter so imagine that, word of mouth is everything. Does it deserve bad rep in my opinion? No, but if shes still there. oh yeah. Hostess, get your act together. Basic isn’t a good look.
