I rarely review a clothing store, but this one deserved to be reviewed. Wow, absolutely amazing service in this store. This cute one guy with brown hair kept a close eye on me from start to finish. Thank you so much for making my day with your customer service! I had never encountered such a nice sales associate in a mall!

The customer service suckes here. Low stock rude associates. Of course can’t expect much from $ 15 an hour GED grads

They have the sweetest female staff here. Said they loved us, and that we were the nicest customers the’ve had all day. The men’s sale section was pretty sparse when I was there,(early May 2014)…and the men’s 1MX Extra Slim Fit shirts in XS are pretty sparse as well. I snapped up the last of those in a few colors. I was hoping to see the Shark Grey in those, but sadly, not there. Take advantage of their sales, I never pay more than $ 25 – 30 on my dress shirts and cardigans there. The buy 1 shirt, get 1 for $ 30 stacked on the get $ 50 off $ 125 was an excellent deal. Got me a membership there as well. Worth the points.

Marisol was the most helpful and non overbearing Express employee I’ve ever dealt with.

Not too full of products and a lot of staff who did ask if I needed help, but the mannequins here freak me out. They all stand the same way and they stand like they are thrusting themselves at you…

Went here before a job interview at a restaurant. I needed black dress pants and a white button down shirt. I had one of those Express coupons that gets you a certain amount off if you spend enough but my total was 20 cents under. I offered to buy a bracelet to bring me over the limit but the cashier(perhaps manager– he seemed to be running the show) shrugged, said, «it’s just 20 cents» and gave me the discount anyway! As I was leaving I mentioned I was on my way to an interview. He asked if I had time to go home and iron the shirt. I confessed that I was going to change in the bathroom and go straight there– so he had an associate steam the shirt for me! Before I left, he put the pants and pressed shirt neatly into a garment bag! He went so above and beyond what I expected when I went to the mall that morning and made my day! I love knowing that there are nice people out there that just want to help others and the warm fuzzy feeling lasted all through my interview! Thank you, Express!

I will always love this store. I miss the Harvard Square location, which was a mainstay of my college days. Now I’ve got to trek to Cambridgeside, which is a weird little mall, but I’ll save that for another review. Express has work-appropriate clothes that are a bit expensive, but well-made. If you want to look like Martha Stewart, go to Ann Taylor; Express is cheaper and a bit more fashion-forward than J. Crew or Banana Republic. Come here for clothes that fit a curvier body(kind of like Victoria’s Secret but a little less va-va-voom). The clothes have a bit of a European aesthetic, like Zara(but cheaper) or H&M(but better made). Plus, you can pick up a little something for that special night out while you’re here. Things can add up fast if you buy everything at full price. Better to wait until they have a sale, or bypass temptation in the front of the store and go straight to the clearance section – they tend to move things here when they still have a large selection of sizes left, not just at the bitter end of the season. Grab a few items and then bust a move to the blasting house music while you shimmy into your selections in the fitting room.

ITSCHEAP! and if you have a coupon. Which you should. there posted everywhere. And ATALLCOSTDONOT! I REPEAT! DONOTGIVEYOUREMAILADDRESS! THEYSTALKYOU! EVERYDAY! LIKEINTHEMORNING at 6AM and i get my email on my phone. SOFML. But if you need a outfit for one night. And i mean one night. Because once you wash the clothes you bought. the seems come loose and it all falls apart. Wear it a second day…(homeless look) esque. after the second wash. The clothes EXPLODE! PPOOF! death. The end.

I was here a week ago looking for a cute outfit for a date. In general I am always less than enthused to have to come to Cambridgeside because it usually means I’m looking for a specific item of clothing and it’s not shopping for fun without a purpose it’s mission shopping. which I hate… After nearly giving up after H+M, Old Navy, and NYC and Co. I decided to go to Express. I had convinced myself that Express was completely overpriced and that the clothes would probably not fit me(I’m a size 12…) However, I was happy to be wrong on both accounts! Their fall stuff was really great– lots of interesting colors and cuts. The sales staff really went out of their way to be helpful, opening up a dressing room for me and attentively seeing if I needed another size. I tried on probably 15 things and fell in love with a couple of items. In terms of the budget– they have a sale going on buy one get one 50% off on most tops. They also have lots of tank tops right now for 50% off. They asked me if I wanted to open up a store account to get an extra 15% and I thought what the heck, why not(and promptly paid it back in cash). On top of that here’s a not so secret tip– they offer 20% off to college students!!! So my purchases ended up being 35% off a sale price!(FYI to all you recessionistas, they also offer 15% off right now on the website if you give them your email). I’ll definitely be back! :)

I needed a new dress shirt for a school function, and since the dress shirts at other stores don’t seem to fit me, I headed to Cambridgeside Galleria to check out Express. I’d have to say the best thing about Express is its selection. There were myriads of dress shirts for me to peruse/try, and the other items(polos, t-shirts) abounded as well. I think that there may be a little too much merchandise here, because the tables actually get in the way of shopping. The one thing that takes some stars away from this Express is its service. Yes, the guys that work there are helpful, but at some times, they hover and I felt incredibly suffocated. Not good when I’m trying to make a purchase. Anyways, good experience overall. I got a new shirt(albeit an expensive one — damn prices).

I generally like their clothes — the fit for me is perfect. But I have to say the sales people are the best. I had to go in and buy 3 suits asap and Express employee that waited on me knew just what to get for me. I also was able to get what I need within in my budget!

It was literally painful to shop here. I’m not sure if I visited the Express Men at Cambridgeside Galleria on an off night but this place was just a disaster. The clothes were hardly organized – sure I know how some people have a secret passion for messing up those stacks of neatly piled shirts, but someone should always be present to organize the mess. But instead, I was left staring at a mess of soon-to-be wrinkled clothing and poor presentation. The jeans in this store make no sense in organization either. Their walls have signs listing where to find certain cuts of jeans, but once you make it to the rack, you’ll find nothing but madness. It seemed each rack was littered with incorrect styles, sizes, and colors. There was no way for me to differentiate what I wanted to try on from what was misplaced. This made my whole shopping experience quite aggravating. And why was it so difficult to find someone to open a dressing room for me? After finally finding a pair of jeans I wanted to try on, I stood and lurked around the hallway to the fitting areas. If you’re going to lock your stalls, then stay near to help me out. And don’t look at me waiting and then continue folding, come over and help me even if you’re not the one with the key. The boy who eventually asked if I needed inside the rooms seemed like he had never opened one of these rooms before, rummaging around for the key and asking a manager for help. DEARLORD. And as for the pain, well something was NOTRIGHT with their audio system. Blasting at an Abercrombie & Fitch decibel, the music began to skip for about a minute followed by loud static. Nobody on the staff seemed quick to react as my ears showed signs of permanent damage. With bleeding ears, I moved away from the Express store while the music blasted around me. My credit card and I had other places to be.
