Homemade ice cream with lots of flavors choices. There ice cream is fresh and incredibly cream. You can’t go wrong with any of the choices here. My favorite so far is the BIGDADDY’S DELIGHT(coconut, pineapple chunks, and maraschino cherries).

I have to say our family was a bit disappointed. The ice cream is fresh and they have many flavors, but the ice cream is lightly flavored. If you are into that, you will enjoy it. I thought the prices were a bit high as well. Parking can be a challenge.

Love this local treasure. Wonderful ice cream, great service. Sit inside with the AC or on the porch in one of the rocking chairs. Nothing more than Wonderful ice cream and ice cream treats.

Excellent selection of homemade ice cream!!! Wonderful flavors!!! The house was packed, as is every time we go by… this time we stopped in and had a few scoops. It was packed but they kept the lines moving as well as they could, and it was worth the wait!!!

I really want to give Calabash Creamery 5 stars. However, I think they really only deserve 3 stars. If you look at my rating, you will see that I gave them 4. How did I decide upon 4 stars you ask? Allow me to explain: The ice cream: It is very clear that this ice cream is made in house. It’s deliciously creamy and rich. However, I have a couple complaints. Several of the flavors are clearly vanilla ice cream with a cookie/topping crumbled into it. While a delicious vanilla, I ordered Calabash Crunch, not vanilla. Also, the soft serve was described as disappointing by several in our group. Finally, the first night we went they only had half of their flavors available! It wasn’t because they were slow… The place was packed. That was a little disappointing. We found that their fruit flavors(Sunset Peach, Banana Pudding, etc.) were AMAZING and clearly contained real fruit. Get those! The staff: Amazing! The staff has earned themselves an entire star(hence the 4 star rating) because of their friendliness and POLITENESS! I have never seen such polite staff at an ice cream joint. It’s clear that many of them are students so be sure to drop a buck or two in their tip jar… They definitely earn it each night. The line: As you will see, EVERY review addresses the line. There will be a line. If it only wraps around the store once, it’s short. But like all the other reviews say, it moves very quickly which is all thanks to the hard working staff. Don’t be deterred by the line, it will be worth it in the end. The ambiance: The place is loud inside and there’s a player piano that gets annoying after the first quarter. However, if it’s not too hot, go outside and sit in one of the 2 dozen or so rocking chairs. Just be careful to eat your ice cream quick because it WILL melt and it WILL leave a stain on your new shirt… Not that I’m bitter or anything… The price: Their ice cream can get a little pricey, especially if you like the fancy stuff. We got 2-two scoop waffle cones and paid $ 12. Not terrible but I’ve defiantly paid much less for ice cream in the past. Check out their happy hour specials(everyday between 5pm-7pm) for some sweet savings. Pun intended. In short, check this place out! We went 3 times on our 5 day vacation and I wish it had been more. This place is just about the only thing Calabash has going on for it, besides the beach of course!

Best icecream on the planet! There is always a wait, but it goes fads and it’s well worth it! We always enjoy it when we go and have never had a bad experience.

We went in on a Tuesday evening and this place was packed, but I have to hand to them they worked through the line there very quickly. There are a lot of choices we tried pb cup, banana pudding, brownie batter, and salted carmel. Of the 4 the salted caramel was the ticket it was so salty and sweet on a hot summer night it really hit the spot! I will definitely be going back.

In a word… Awesome. Best non traditional ice cream parlor I have ever eaten at. I had the homemade lemon chiffon and my wife had the coconut. Yes it is more pricy that McDs but it is well worth it. We will be back often!

Calabash Creamery offers unique, extra creamy and kind of soft hard-pack ice cream. It’s homemade! The flavors are creative and every one I’ve tried has been delicious. The waffle cones are made fresh and are delicious as well!

They use to be great however they have cut their sizes in half and raised prices. They claim they changed their cups because the toppings didn’t fall In there right. Not impressed. They weren’t cheap to begin with. Unfortunately we went here a lot but will probably stick to McDonald’s Soft serve from now on. Also the last two times we were there the service wasn’t good. They were on the rude side and I just won’t pay to eat somewhere when the service stinks :(. Locals are what pays your Bills in the winter …

After spending the past 3 days trying to find an ice cream shop open in the off season we found one! This place is awesome! There was a wide variety of homemade ice creams plus the traditional soft serve. Many options for sundaes too. Prices were very reasonable and the front and side porches have rockers to sit in while eating your dessert. Couldn’t have asked for anything more!

My hubby and I had just had lunch and weren’t very hungry, however this shop was calling us. They must have about 25 different flavors and every topping you can think of. Everything looked so good, it was hard to choose, especially on full stomachs. I had a small cup of Butter Pecan, while hubby had a vanilla milkshake. It was a heaping scoop for a small, any my hubby had some with me while we waited for his shake. It was so rich and creamy, it was a good thing I ordered the small. My hubby had his thick shake, and believe me it was thick. But as we hung around and went to the car, he put it down and let it melt. Well, that ruined our bathing suit bodies, but it was worth it. We’ll be back.

Best ice cream within 30 miles. I’m staying in Myrtle beach and drove here twice for the amazing ice cream. Just had the maple walnut on a waffle cone. If I were staying in the area longer I would make the drive again.

Oh, man! Local, homemade ice cream in 20+ flavors. Sign me up! We stopped here twice on our vacation it was so good. The ice cream was homemade and rich. There were many flavors to choose from ranging from traditional vanilla all the way to blends with coffee and cookies. Choose from a bowl to a waffle cone. They also do milkshakes and a banana split. They also sells pints and quarts. The atmosphere was fantastic. The exterior looks like a farmhouse with rocking chairs along the porch. The interior is decorated with whimsical cows. The creamery does get very busy on the weekend, so be prepared to wait. The wait is well worth it. We are dreaming of returning on our next trip.
