Great lunch spot for fresh Atlantic Cod, meat pies, chicken, and shrimp. Try this place, you’ll love it. Cold beer by the bottle available.

There fish is so good. I am not a fish person at all and I LOVED it. The people are really nice. My husband and I are rarely in the Cape and we passed this by and he wanted to try it. I am glad we did. Looking forward to taking my dad who loves Fish and Chips.

The BEST fish and chips, period! The fried shrimp and chicken are delicious, the«chips» are tender inside, crispy and golden on the outside– never greasy! My mom loves Pete’s chicken pot pie and meat pies. The restaurant is run lovingly by Pete and his beautiful wife. Always clean and welcoming, you’ll feel like a member of the family once you walk in the door.

Great Fish and Chips. Comfortable, albeit a little small atmosphere. They also have Guinness to wash it down. Highly recommend.

Can’t believe we didn’t come in earlier! Greatest atmosphere, friendly service, and delicious food! Our portions were just right and this fish is the perfect flaky white cod. Large chips and scrumptious coleslaw on the side. Malt vinegar on the table is always a plus for our family and the tartar sauce is excellent(though you could eat this fish as is and it was flavorful enough). Everyone was very pleased. We will most definitely return to try some pastries and meat pies as well!

We had lunch here today. Very busy, but it is Friday during Lent. The place is small but staff friendly and accommodating. Orders are placed and paid for at the counter, then your name is called and you pick up the order at the counter. While you wait you can listen to you order being fried then; no soggy fries or fish sitting around this place. I ordered the large fish and chips with brown gravy on the side. The fish was fresh, crunchy, and delicious. I appreciated having the gravy for the fries which is something you don’t often see. My husband had the shrimp and fries. The shrimp were large and perfectly cooked. The fries were also very good; crispy and not greasy. Each dish came with a bit of cole slaw which was regular, run of the mill cole slaw. The restaurant is very clean and definitely a place we will return to.

Saw all the great reviews on Unilocal so I found that it was time to give it a try. It’s nice to enjoy local fish at other establishments in Cape Coral but they choose a really nice piece of Cod from Iceland. Walking in we were instantly greeted by the owner Pete and his staff. Very friendly I must add. The place is brilliantly decorated in a British theme and very clean and tasteful. We each went with the large order of Fish and Chips for $ 11.95 and it was a gorgeous piece of soft, juicy, flaky, and bleach white fish lightly battered and cooked to perfection. Even the«chips» or fried potatoes were seasoned and not too salty. Two years ago I traveled to Bristol, England and ordered Fish and Chips there and I find Petes to be a great match to what I really enjoyed over in Great Britain The place is small with not a tremendous amount of seating but we got there on a slow Tuesday at 11:30 am so not too many customers were dining with us. Well my girlfriend works nearby so this place will be on our regular lunch circuit now. Very good… coming back definitely!

James R. Wanted to try the British meat pies, and ordered the fish and chips also. By far the best fish and chips I’ve ever had !! When asked where to get good fish and chips, my answer is Pete’s. You can’t go wrong, authentically British ! Meat pies are also outstanding !

Firstly let me say, I KNOWGOODFISHANDCHIPS– and they have them! A bit pricey, but very fresh, crispy, well seasoned(salted) fish and chips. Have only been here twice and only had small order of fish and chips to go but they were delicious! If you are craving crispy REAL cod, and authentic English pub style fish and chips this is the best option in the Cape! Would like to try some of the other authentic options like the pasties! Mmmmm…

By FAR the best fish and chips in the Cape. Wish they’d offer more British beer or American craft beer. If you like good fish, this is the place for you. Only con is this place closes early!!!

I’ve been wanting to check this place out for some time. Finally did tonight with my wife, and four old. Being this first time there, I wasn’t sure what to get. Fish, and chips, chicken, or shrimp? We ended up getting the Family Basket. It had a little bit of everything. Fish, chicken, shrimp, chips, coleslaw. Everything was delicious, and cooked to order. The fish, Atlantic cod was firm, and flaky. The shrimp were huge and lightly battered. The chicken was equally delicious. The coleslaw was very tasty. Tartar sauce, and cocktail sauce were great as well. I really got a kick out of owner\chef. Service was quick, and laid back. I could easily see this being a weekly spot. Great food, and Great people!!!

Super friendly people at Petes — first time there so tried the fish & chips. It was the BEST fish & chips I’ve ever had. The breading was light & almost melted in your mouth. We will be going back soon!

Here is my 2 cents on the food. Well the taste and quality is still there. Chips are crispy on the outside and hot/steamy on the inside. The fish is as good as ever. Crispy too, flesh is delightful ffor the taste buds. So if in The Cape and need to scratch that itch for fish & chips. This is the place. Good folks fast service Great all around.

Read the reviews and had to come and see for ourselves. I had the«small» Fish & Chips. I have never had cod so lightly breaded before and it was grand. The filet was large in my opinion and the chips an easy medium portion. My bride had the shrimp wrap… awesome flavor and plenty of shrimp. This is a small neighborhood place and well worth the visit.

It’s been about a year since we’ve been in and we were craving those fish and chips so we made a lunch date. Pete’s Fish and Chips restaurant isn’t a huge place, only about 8 tables to sit at. We entered the store and were greeted. I usually get the large fish and chips, but I decided on the #2 combo, which is the small fish and chips and a piece of chicken for $ 8.95. That’s only 1 dollar more than the small fish and chips. We also got two cans of diet coke, which are $ 1.25 each, a little pricy in my eyes. It didn’t take long at all for us to get our food. We ordered the spicy ranch to go with our chicken. It was delicious. The cole slaw was better today than I’d remembered in the past. I love their chips(French fries), they’re so crispy and fresh. The fish was good, a little more oily than I’d remembered from the last time. I really liked the chicken, very juicy. After eating the #2 we were both stuffed. This place is a great, little restaurant with lots of different British items available for sale.
