Called Pete’s yesterday (New Year’s Eve) at 3:30 pm on a last-​ditch effort to reserve a couple of baguettes for our dinner party since we forgot to get them previously. Thought it would be impossible to get them this late in the game. However, Pete said he would throw a couple fresh into the oven and, even though he was getting ready to close early for New Year’s, he would wait around for me until I drove over to pick them up. I got there, and the place was cleaned up and ready to close — but my fresh baguettes were waiting with a smiling and friendly Pete and co. Now where can you get service like that anymore? Danke Pete und frohes neues Jahr!

Taylor Pork Roll on a Kaiser was all It took to lure me in. The pastries and other goodies were icing on the cake! I dropped 1-​star for being very confusing for 1st time customers. With a self-​serve display counter in the seating area, and people both standing around and seated at tables, there was no direction whether to sit, order at the counter, or grab a tray (a la cafeteria style).

Went for lunch — great prices, great food, lots of pastries to choose from and they are so delicious! Great atmosphere and I would definitely recommend this!

Like bread? Like Pete? If you like bread, you’re good here. If you like breakfast, as I do, you’re also good here because they make a variety of them. Like Lunch? I got a baguette sandwich there to go after I ate my croissant with bacon, egg and cheese at a table there. Just for fun I also had a breakfast pastry. All turned out to be yummy. Will definitely return.

Having just moved from Germany we figured we would miss the German bakeries. Well we do not need to worry about that anymore. This place is very authentic. The breads and pastries are darn near spot on to a German bakeri. I highly recommend this place.

Tried this the other day for breakfast. Ordered a bratwurst and coffee. They didn’t have Brat so I opted for the Knockwurst. When it came, it was cold. Pointed it out to the waitress who immediately took it back to the kitchen and bought a new one out that was cooked through. We were not charged for the coffee as compensation. The pastries looked delicious so will be returning again. The service was very friendly!

Bread Pete is a lovely German bakery with great pastries. I love the raspberry beignets and the almond croissants. Get there early enough and you can eat them while they are still warm out of the oven. Very nice owners who are always pleasant and easy to talk with. Coffee is OK and the reason for only 4 stars.
