Terrible experience — came in on a Sunday for lunch, but they only had a brunch menu! What really?! Guy had no idea what he was saying or doing!

I love the quaint ambiance of this place as well as the freshly made food and ice tea. All of the meals I have had have been great as have the meals of my friends. We have tried the lunch and brunch menu, so I don’t have anything to say for their dinner menu. The inside if this place is a set of 2 small rooms of an old house. In the back room, the walls are adorned with record albums, and all of those albums are actually available to play as wanted. Last time I was there, they also had a live musician playing in the front room. On a nice dsy, there is the front porch for shaded dining as well as some sunny seating to the right. So no matter what you’re on the mood for, there’s a place that suits that.

We live nearby & have seen several establishments come and go at this location, but heard that the new Stomping Grounds was worth trying. We went for dinner two weeks ago & had an excellent meal — & had hoped to go back last night, but it was closed for a Christmas party. I had the Shrimp & Lobster Tarragon & my husband had Swordfish Nantucket, both were delicious — and the servings were plentiful. We were very impressed and look forward to our next dinner there.

Had lunch at The Stomping Grounds this afternoon and had an excellent experience. My son and I went with a few other families after a swim meet. I had a corn beef Ruben sandwich which was delicious. The kids sat at their own table and had a blast together. The waitress even brought out a huge cookie which all the kids shared and enjoyed. I will definitely going back when the opportunity presents itself again. P. s. — They have have wonderful selection of craft beers.

What a nice restaurant! Everything was great — the house does look like a bed and breakfast as someone else pointed out. Very nicely done and comfortable — and unique. The food was excellent. We went for lunch and had the crabby on land(crabcake sandwich). my friend had the chowder which she loved and I also tasted and thought it was excellent. Don’t expect super fast service here as everything is homemade and done well. I will definitely be back!

Stopped by for brunch, the egg sandwich with avocado served with perfectly cooked home fries and a side of fruit was awesome. Then there was the beer selection, Jack Abbey from Framingham Ma, wow what a good choice for a anti Bloody Mary guy. The staff was eager to please and very friendly, loved the eclectic music too. Bring on the turntable so patrons can spin a few tracks. Will be back to try dinner soon.

Fun place in an old house with interesting woodwork. 60s music, album covers and band posters decorate the rooms. We had delicious pulled pork and the Bridge Crosser sandwich, both well made with fresh ingredients. Good hummus and pita basted with curry flavored butter stood out on a med. plate appetizer that would have been even better with oil cured olives, instead of jarred ones, along with the crunchy vegetables. We came in on a weekday mid afternoon. It was quiet except for us, but it was easy to imagine a lively crowd during typical service. Friendly, easy to find, with lots of parking. The server pointed out that the restaurant is no longer BYOB. They have a number of beers, and I think I saw a wine list as well. They’re also open until 2:00 for brunch, not 1:00.

This place was amazing. My girlfriend and I were taking a girls weekend after finishing up college and stopped here on our way to the cape. This place is AMAZING. All the food was made fresh and its also really neat because it’s not your typical menu– it almost looks like a bed and breakfast. We had the stomping greens and it was absolutely delicious. We also had the med plate was a perfect appetizer for two. HIGHLY recommended.

Some times you don’t have allot of time to squeeze in lunch so when you do it has to be efficient, convenient and of course deeeelicious! I happened upon Stomping Grounds Grill in Buzzards bay, MA… Interesting setting as it’s located in a house… Ample parking right out front and the convenience of Open table always is a welcome perk… Friendly staff, the owner Charlie and my server Kayla… For my lunch I started with the Seafood Chowdah… A wonderful blend of scallops, cod, Lobstah sherry, cream, celery carrots, onion, bacon. and believe it or not in all my travels I’ve never had a Lobstah roll so I tried theirs. To say it was great would be an understatement… Quite an under statement! I will definitely be back as I’ve now added it to my list of «stomping grounds»… ;-) You must come here… It’s well worth the trip… From anywhere…

An old house turned into a restaurant, makes you feel right at home. Each room is decorated a little different and the décor is perfect for the atmosphere. I ordered the steak special and it came with vegetables and mashed potatoes. Everything about the meal was amazing, steak melted in your mouth and cut with ease. My fiancé ordered the swordfish Nantucket, a large swordfish steak with shrimp and scallops for a reasonable price of $ 24, and for seafood and the size of the portions that’s a deal. Everything from the service to prices and quality and quantity of food was top notch and I would recommend the stomping grounds and will definitely return. A plus is at the moment they are getting a liquor license so it’s BYOB so that cuts the bill down! I would say the only negative is one to many pictures of the Beatles and phish.

This place is AMAZING! I went there on a Friday night with my boyfriend and his parents. We all LOVED our meals and will definitely be back. The service was prompt and attentive, and the food was absolutely delicious. We started with the mussels and two crab cakes. The mussels were really tasty and the crab cakes were big and also super delicious. Three of us got the $ 25 prefix meal which is an incredible price considering the quality and quantity of food. The lobster ravioli had huge chunks of lobster in the dish and inside the ravioli. The portion was huge! It was one of the best pasta dishes I’ve ever had. My boyfriend got the scallop/beacon casserole which was also perfectly cooked and tasty. His parents got the lamb and seafood stew. Both were wonderful — perfectly cooked, huge portion, well-seasoned, etc. We picked the same dessert: a peanut butter chocolate mousse combo that was out of this world. We will definitely be back for more! This place is a perfect dinner restaurant with a comfy and cozy atmosphere. HIGHLY recommended — you won’t be disappointed! BYOB fyi.

We came here on the Facebook recommendation of our daughter’s friend. Boy, were we happy we came for brunch today. The menu and today’s specials were so tasty sounding, we didn’t know which to choose. My wife eventually chose the corned beef hash and eggs with marble rye toast and I had Charlie’s chowder and the lobster roll. My wife loved her meal and I thought the chowder was among the best I’ve ever had. It was full of lobster scallops and clams. And the lobster roll was scrumptious and huge!

It would take way too long to go into every last detail about what went wrong with our experience at this place, so I’ll give you the highlights(or lowlights as the case may be). Came in for the advertised prixe-fixe(prefixed 3 course) menu, and bought a $ 10 for $ 20 voucher off a deal on Unilocal. The area(back room) where we were seated was SODARK, and the table for two was the tiniest ever. We compensated by adding extra candles which, while still dark, was better. Not only do they not have a liquor license, when I asked for a soda water they didn’t have that either. We ended up with waters. We got a shaved Brussels sprout/kale/pomegranate salad that sounded awesome(on paper). A couple bites in, it didn’t taste the freshest and one of the Brussels sprouts looked sort of discolored. To investigate I had to break out my iPhone flashlight(yes it was that dark) and found that some of the shaved Brussels sprouts were moldy. So gross. Sent it back and they gave me a caeser instead that was just ok(bottled dressing, I think it was kens) but at least it wasn’t moldy. My partner and I both ordered the salmon entrée and we were told after our first course that the salmon«really shrank up during cooking» and that one of us would have to order something else. I reluctantly ordered a steak that I didn’t want and after a long wait the entrees came out. Salmon very overcooked, steak was cooked OK, but came with sandy scallops. The wait for all of this was really long, so after 1.5 hours we figured we’d cut our losses and get dessert(the last course of our 3 course prefixed menu) to go. We got our bill and I gave the server the voucher I had gotten off Unilocal, and she tried to say I couldn’t use that on the prefixed menu we had gotten, even though it didn’t say anything like that in the literature for the voucher. She ended up reluctantly taking it. All in all, a truly bad experience at a local small business that I had high hopes for, especially after reading so many really great 4⁄5 star Unilocal reviews. Best thing about our meal was the bread and the dessert, both of which were not cooked in house(provided by beckys bakery in bourne). I’d say perhaps all of this was the result of them being sort of a new place, but they’ve been open since July(5 months) and really should have their act together at this point, in my opinion.

Funky place, funky music, awesome food!!! We had the Spuds MacKenzie app. Now don’t skip this. Seems basic, but somehow it is just SO good! Then the boyfriend had the Crabby on Land crab cake sandwich. It was really great! I had the Shrimp & Lobster Tarragon pasta. Oh. My. God. Firs, t you’d better like Sherry, because this was FULL of it. I’ve never seen such huge shrimp and MASSIVE amounts of lobster chunks, including half tails and claws. Everything was amazing, made even better by the half off Unilocal deal, or the deal on . So great! Can’t wait to go back!

Loved this place! Ordered the chicken wings, and they were absolutely delicious. I typically don’t like eating bone in… but the meat literally just falls off the bone. I also ordered the pulled pork, which was absolutely delicious. The BBQ was so tasty and it was just the right amount on there.(Most places will either put too little too much, this was perfect!) My husband ordered the Lobster roll and he said it was the best he had ever tasted! I definitely recommend coming here!

If you are looking for a really nice lunch spot today and you are biking on the Cape Cod Canal. Stop here. Turn at the site of the old bridge on the mainland side of canal in Buzzards Bay. We split a Ceasar salad and Bridge Crosser sandwich they were both excellent. Two thumbs up from two hungry bikers. We’ll go back for brunch or try dinner soon.

Stopped for some lunch after seeing a wedding venue. Had a very tasty lobster roll and a Reuben sandwich. Waitress was very nice, we sat outside. We checked in on Unilocal and got a free clam chowder which was also delicious.

Stopped in for brunch with my wife and though we were a little bummed they didn’t have their liquor licence yet the menu looked good enough to stay and give it a shot. I’m glad we did. I ordered the breakfast sandwich which included a good portion of egg, avocado, bacon and cheese on a toasted english muffin(nooks, crannies… the whole shebang) served with fantastic homefries(think diner style, seasoned perfectly) and a side of fresh fruit. Standard presentation but an all around solid meal. Where they really stood out was my wife’s lobster benedict… same sides as my dish but they don’t skimp on the lobster meat(claw meat that would make Sebastian blush… the crab… from that Disney movie… about burning sea witches), dripping with creamy hollandaise. An exceptional meal, no doubt. Overall, the menu items we tried were good to VERY good. The homefries are a fantastic side and worth trying even if they don’t come with your meal. Oh, and have a cappuccino to finish it off. Because I said so. Service was good and the space is fun. Phish posters on the walls, blues on the stereo… my kind of Sunday morning. A funky little spot worth checking out. Love stumbling upon little start up spots like this.
