Ahhhhh… it’s OK. Lobster roll had a good amount of lobster, but was kind of rubbery and weak on flavor. It also seemed like they just scooped some mayo into the bun. Hamburger was weak too. something you might get an the quick fry stand at a carnival. not necessarily fresh nor tasty. onion rings just breaded and fried; Liam’s at Nauset are the gold standard, these were struggling to reach bronze.

I liked this place so much that I stopped for lunch on way to beach, and then for ice cream on the way back. The picture below of the lobster roll and fries is accurate, but the lobster roll is bigger than what the picture is showing. For $ 13.99, it was a heck of a deal and as others mentioned, it is pure lobster meat in a nicely toasted roll, with a packet of mayo on the side. Most places in my area are charging anywhere from $ 15 –22 for a similar meal. My sandwich was delicious and I enjoyed the chowder as well. Went back later to get a frappé for the ride home. It was only $ 3.50 and was excellent. Around the Boston area, frappes are usually $ 4.75 — $ 6.00, and often, are watered down and bland-tasting(not enough syrup). The service was friendly and efficient. When you exit from Rt. 3 and head over toward the Bourne Bridge, they are the first clam shack you come to, and well worth the stop. Can’t wait to go back.

This spot was recommended by my mother and father in law. We were on our way out of Cape Cod and was dying to try this place out. The lobster rolls were delicious. You can get mayo on the side which is great because my husband does not like mayo. My mom ordered the stuffed quahog. That was really good. Spicy too! I ordered the fried clams which were good but needed a little more flavor. Dessert is a must. I had the homemade cookie ice cream sandwich. My mom had an iced coffee frappé and loved it! My husband had a root beer float and my brother had the blackberry ice cream cone(which he never finds that flavor anywhere). Our waitress was super sweet and attentive. I definitely recommend those leaving the Cape to stop by for lunch!

Water clam chowder and rubbery lobster in the lobster roll. There’s so many great places to choose from in this area. I wish I would have gone some where else. It’s a nice place with potential though but they need to pick up their game.

I’ve driven by this place many times and finally stopped by. What a great little clam shack! I loved the ambiance and the service was swift and friendly. The clam fritters were yummy. They have two plate sizes — plate and raft. I got the fried whole belly clams raft and the portions were big. The clams were delicious. Wish I had tried the stuffed quahog. Next time!

Went here this past weekend. My girlfriend and I walked the Canal and worked up an appetiet! We ordered big belly fried clam plate and an order of «Stuffies» .must try! Great spicy kick and great compliment to the fried goodness! The waitstaff was great and friendly and clean environment. Prices were fair A+++ I will go here again and again! :)(little tip when you go in. look on the wall and see what the prices were«way back when» very cool to see! :)

We LOVED this place. We both had the lobster roll that was spectacular. My husband had fries and coleslaw with his. They were nice about my wanting something different. The owners told us they get fresh seafood every day. They never carry food over to the next day. The prices were very reasonable. We got 2 lobster rolls, and a fun hat for me, for less than we expected to pay just for lunch. The people were nice, warm, and the place was very clean. We would love to go again, and almost went back later the same day.

Nice little place right across the street from the canal. Food was very fresh and reasonably priced(we got fried clams and fried shrimp plates) — I would go again if I’m ever in the area.

Food is good. Had scallop roll and clam strip roll. Scallops were on the smaller side and makes me question the origin of them. Clam strips were plentiful and pretty good. Came with potato chips instead of coleslaw and French fries like most places. Woman serving us was a complete jerk and expected us to stand in rain and wait for order to come out. We then proceeded to watch her rudely turn away customers because they were closing. Her overall attitude mad me question why this woman was working in customer service. For an average meal I would recommend just don’t expect anything special.

Stopped due to bumper to bumper cape traffic. Awesome lobster roll — no mayo! Chowder was good and the fish & chips were a great value. Topped off with a very generous ice cream cookie sandwich!

Solid lobster roll but you should drive another 100 yards to the Seafood Shanty. Skimpy serving of lobster — albeit very fresh — and a soggy roll. Below average fries.

Terrible tasteless thin chowder with tiny minced clams. This might be the single worst chowder I’ve ever had(and that includes snow’s canned chowder which is gourmet in comparison.) I’d rate the chowder ½ a star. The lobster roll, on the other hand had a good amount of fresh lobster meat with no filler(mayo is severed in packets on the side) with romaine lettuce(which i personally don’t thing belongs) and a nicely buttery grilled bun. It’s 3.5 stars… The location(overlooking the canal — albeit across a busy highway) is nice if you want to take your meal across the way, and the interior screams«old timey new england clam shack(in other words, totally appropriate.) So it’s a cute place, nice servers, and an OK lobster roll, but just terrible chowder, so, yeah, like the 2 star rating description says«meh. i’ve experienced better.» (PS — everyting is served in styrofoam which just makes me want to cry it’s so bad for the environment — how about using paper which would be recyclable and could be used for inside or takeout?)

Fantastic clam strips! It’s a very small business(I think there was only 2 people on staff), but the waitress was super friendly. It’s a cute little diner with a lot of old antiques to look at, so the short wait for the food is hardly a wait at all. You can sit either inside and be served, or order«take out» and eat outside at some picnic benches. My family loved this place so much that we stopped there to eat twice in one week(once on the way into the Cape and once on the way out)! It’s a perfect place to stop after sitting in the car for awhile!

Fresh fresh unadulterated lobster rolls overflowing with delicious lobster chunks. The beautifully toasted bun has a schmear of mayo. Du. Lish!
