Clean shop and nice layout. Price of Phillzz would be $ 1825.00 per year if Phillzz was my default coffee company based on $ 4.50/cup plus tip. «Just a regular cup of coffee» The same quality of coffee from Starbucks would cost:$ 1003.00/year. Coffee to me tastes just like Peetes coffee. Furthermore; the buzz about a small town coffee shop is BS: This company is funded through Wall Street Venture firms just like the multi-national coffee firms. Its not really a home-grown story anymore. What bugs me too is the many of their Unilocal reviews listed are professional Reviewers«Elite Group». That is Shameful…

If you like strong coffee, this place is for you. Philz has multiple locations in the Bay area and they are all very consistent. If you happen to be near this location, make sure to stop by Philz for a little caffeine buzz. Delicious coffee made in an attentive one cup at a time process, so you can have it half decaf if you like. They are reasonably quick, but tend to be fairly busy. The selection is mind boggling and the quality is phenomenal. There was a line out the door but it was worth the wait. Take your own mug and you can get a large size for the price of a small coffee. You won’t be sleepy! The drink I got was called a mocha tesora and it was delicious. I have been here once and am impressed how engaged and into the coffee the staff is here. They seem as hand-picked as the coffee beans. Definitely worth a stop!

Finally Philz in Bgame!!! Woop Woop! I love this location. The outside benches are great for working and a little people watching. Great location! The staff is just as nice as the other Philz locations and the coffee just as good too!

This location rocks. Just like other Philz Coffee location. Come here to check it out and see what this location is like. This location reminds of the Castro Philz Coffee location. I got my favorite drink here. Which is hot chocolate. I would come back here if I am ever in the area.

I am a fan of Philz in general but this location is just too small to support the crowds it will draw! Plus, you have Starbucks, Peets and several other coffee shops within the same few block radius. If you go on off times its not bad, but I can see lines out the door during peak times and summer and when it takes 10 minutes to brew one cup of coffee, I wouldn’t feel inclined to wait in line THAT long. Its a great place, but I would see out one of the bigger locations for more space and quicker service.

Having a Philz in Burlingame is such a blessing. Starbucks and Peet’s better watch out, cause this place has a loyal following and it’s only growing. It’s smaller than the San Mateo location but still very clean and nicely decorated. It’s not ideal for studying(especially for those that need a lot of space to spread out), but it certainty suffices. The baristas here are, as always, super friendly. Out of all the main coffee chains, I think the Philz baristas are the nicest and most personable. The drinks are, of course, delicious(that definitely hasn’t changed from the San Mateo location). For a first timer, I recommend the ginger snap iced coffee. It’s my favorite specialty drink– sweet and creamy with a surprising hint of spiciness, but still retaining a coffee taste(unlike the sweet drinks at Starbucks which, in my opinion, have no trace of coffee whatsoever). So happy that Philz is now just a short walk away from BHS. Bless up

Philz is by far my favorite coffee place! I’ve been waiting so long for them to come to Burlingame! I’m so glad they’re finally here. I love Philz.

This review is applicable to ALL Philz coffees… If coffee was an art I would have to say that Philz is Picasso, Michelangelo and da Vinci put together! They have mastered it for everyone’s pleasure! My friend introduced Philz to me a while back and I couldn’t be more grateful. One small cup at noon has me amped till 8pm without crashing from caffeine. One word, perfection!

Welcome to the neighborhood PHILZ!!! You knocked it out of the park on your soft opening. Went back this AM for a «normal» day at Philz and yes indeed, glad you are here!

Philz coffee and I had a wonderful relationship for quite a while and then, I gave them the«it’s not you, it’s me routine.» I just needed some me time and some time to think things through. I realized that it was indeed me. That a great cup of coffee from Philz is delightful and that cup of coffee should be exactly the same whether I am at 24th& Mission or on the Facebook campus having lunch with a friend of a friend who works with Mark Z. Consistency is the name of the game. That goes for data entry folks, chefs, bartenders and of course, coffee shops. What I learned was that a cup of Sooooo Good at Philz in Palo Alto is not the same deliciousness I enjoyed at the Mission location and then, the cup of Turkish in South San Fran was way different than the Turkish near AT&T Park. No bueno! Alas, the brown cups arrived out here in the Suburbs this week and we live nearby. My first impression when we saw the«Philz is coming soon» sign was, rats! Cause I’m a resentment based guy. After seeing that sign a dozen times, my mood changed to, interest and a willingness to be willing to try again. Of course, all of that was followed up with my first visit today, on the first morning they were opened. Ya see, I make significant progress by thinking things through and it’s helpful. As I walk through the doors and see a dozen Burlingame High school gals prepping their iconic brown cups of hot cocoa for photos to post to IG, I see The Man with the hat standing at the door greeting guests. Note to youngsters: IG would likely be more impressed with Phil than a brown cup that has his name on it, but you’d have to know that was The Man with the plan for the desire to take a photo to fire off in your brain. Me: Welcome to Burlingame Phil Phil: Thanks for having us Yup, I shook the hand of the man with the plan and it felt pretty good. Now, on to the only thing that really matters here. Cause the décor is cool and that’s of minimal importance. What is of major importance is the coffee. Greater Alarm, creamy. That’s what I had on the brain and that’s what I ordered and it was Soooooo Good. Not, Sooooo Good the drink, Sooooo Good quality and I will be back for more. I will likley sneak in during the early morning hours to avoid the crowds, cause the Burlingame crowd isn’t my crowd, that I know for sure. It felt really nice walking to my car, with the familiar brown cup and the familiar great taste of fresh, strong coffee and I am delighted that I took my Philz coffee sabbatical because that break in the action made this cup of coffee that much better.

The entire Jabar family is here for the soft opening! Love this new location and the staff is friendly as always. Inside is narrow than their other locations but the seating along the wall and outside patio make up for it. Soo awesome!
