First time here last night. Sat on the patio – loved it. Sweet atmosphere, good service and good food. There were four of us and they took A reservation, which was so helpful for us. We started with the cheese, nut and fruit board and it was yummy. The wine special red was excellent! Two folks in our party had the filet and were VERY happy. Another friend had the Ahi Tuna and there wasn’t a bit left. I enjoyed the crab crepes, which had a red bell pepper sauce. The wait staff was attentive — couldn’t ask for much more — didn’t rush us either. Will definitely be back.

Incredible food and drinks, great service. The food was diverse and well executed, not to mention creative, bringing things I haven’t seen together. The warm cabbage salad, pork shank, bacon wrapped dates, the winter sangria with bourbon was amazing. Really going the extra mile, and truly incredible for the area especially. Well done, come here.

My friend and I decided Burien was the best centerpoint for us to meet for dinner, and I found this place on Unilocal based on the reviews. Yet again, Unilocal does not disappoint! We both loved the ambience(they have an outdoor covered area with lovely string lights) and the service was attentive and friendly, but not overbearing. The food was fantastic. We had the burrata, which was extremely fresh and creamy. So delightful. We also had a side salad and the crab crepes. The crab crepes were quite amazing, and I’ve never had anything like it before. This place is a winner. What a gem for the Burien area. I’d definitely come back again.

Its always me trying new restaurant locally. Anyway the restaurant have a good ambiance. Its 2 restaurant connected to one another. Its really cool and interesting. All the food we try is good. We had appetizer; we got the olives w oil(I like the flavor and the whole garlic but I wish they have more the green olives than the black one), bruschetta(it was good but I expect the tomatoes to have more flavor or the tomatoes to be sweeter, bacon w dats and goat cheese(that was a great combination of sweet and salty. It was cook right and it just melt in you mouth) then I decide to have the season salad(its good its presented right and it was dress light so that’s good. Then we had the pasta I forgot the name of it but it was ok. The sausage or the meat is a little salty and the sauce was not as flavor. It’s missing a little touch of olive oil and wine. But overall experience is good. Our waiter is very open-minded about what we r looking for. If we have any question he try to answer it or ask someone else. Good place and good customer service. I recommend this place and seat outside its awesome …

Excellent evening! We had to sit at the bar because the restaurant was crowded but still received great attention from the bar staff. The menu looks sparse at first glance but don’t let that put you off. There’s actually quite a few selections between the regular menu and the bar menu. The bacon wrapped, goat cheese filled dates were remarkable. The Charcuterie was well worth the $ 17, and the crepes were very good. Chase, our bartender/server, was a delight.

I walk by here all the time as normally go hang out a few doors down the street. But, I’ve been meaning to try this place so we came in for dinner. We sat in the outdoor garden area and it was just about perfect, comfortable, not packed together and very relaxing. Just about anything you eat or drink is going to be good when you’re in this atmosphere. We started some red wine and a garden fresh salad came from the farmers market. There was so many ingredients it’s hard to describe, but very organic, tasty and they can execute a great salad, very artistic too. They serve some complementary bread with oil and balsamic vinegar that was really good; we had seconds. I had the 909 flat iron steak medium rare that came on a bed of potatoes, red peppers and spinach; it was really good. Also, got to taste the linguine with shrimp & bacon. Its flavor was fantastic and it seemed to have some Chinese 5 spice; I may be wrong, but I love the spices in this dish. Overall, this is a great dining experience and we’ll be coming back. The ambiance is top notch and seemed like I was in San Francisco and not Burien. The food quality was over the top and it was fresh and seemed to be very organic and healthy. This place can turn you into a vegetarian. Note, the items individually on the menu seems to be reasonably priced, but it adds up fast here and you can easily go over the $ 100 range for a couple pretty fast.

This was one of the best dining experiences I’ve had! The staff was AWESOME! The space is really nice and very calm. The lights in the patio are very charming and there’s a little decorative waterfall for ambiance. The food was REALLY good! We ordered the bacon wrapped dates and they were just AWESOME!(They even gave us a second order free because the first one accidentally only came with two instead of three). The food was really, really good and the service was REALLY, REALLY great! Definitely a must try if you’re nearby!

When we walked in, the outdoor seating area was almost empty. We picked a table, and when the waitress came over, we told her we needed a few more minutes to make out drink selections. Then, over the next ten minutes, the outdoor seating area filled up(four more tables filled), and our waitress visited two other tables(who had arrived after us) before returning to our table to take our drink order. We placed our food order at the same time to avoid another ten minute or longer wait for service. That was the worst part of the evening, however. The food was very good. The burrata comes with fresh mozzarella, which spreads easily on the crostini. The Kobe burger is cooked to order and extremely tasty. The Mac and cheese is outstanding. My only complaint here is that everything needed more salt, and there was none on the table — the waitress asked if we needed anything, but that was before we could taste anything. This is the second time we’ve been here, and when we return again(we will come again), we’ll bring another couple so it’s less about eating and more about socializing — that’s the type of place this is.

The 909⁄913 is my favorite place to eat in Burien. We eat here several times a week. We have young kids, but are able to enjoy both delicious cocktails and the wonderful menu by sitting in the outside courtyard in between the 909&913. Since it’s covered and heated, it really is year round. I love pretty much everything I eat here, and the juices are squeezed fresh for the cocktails(at the 913 side) and they have really good bartenders that know how to make a stellar drink(Brandy, Rick, Katie). The wait staff is so friendly, accommodating, just all around awesome. even though our kids can be kids, they are always so understanding and help us get in, eat and get out before the kids wig out. We can pop in for a fast meal or linger for hours. I send everyone new to the area here.

Clearly a place that locals and good friends hang out. Everyone seems to know each other here and they have great food and drinks. Pink vespa is tasty! Gelato and ice cream is great too. Pumpkin tiramisu doesn’t taste like tiramisu at all but is still delicious. Very cute little place with limited seating.

Went back for another great dinner last night. With all my food allergies and Celiac disease I’m always limited but they have THEBEST burger anywhere in Burien. Love this place, and their wonderful staff. Thanks for another delicious, fun experience!

They really put a lot of effort and style in to their food and drinks. We stopped in to kill some time before heading to the airport and left feeling great. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Food was interesting and very flavourful. Drinks were spot on for three of the four. One was a little strong but not a show stopper. Roasted garlic with goat cheese and the bacon wrapped dates were the snack du jour. We just went with the smaller snack type stuff but can’t wait to get back for the entrees!

I started frequenting 913 more often during the winter of 2013 as a friend of mine suggested we go there one evening. I’ve grown to love this quaint hangout and it’s staff. Their happy hour is a great deal. I’d try a couple order of the bacon wrapped dates. I’ve also enjoyed their Kobe sliders although next time I will order them medium rare. The lighting is lovely. The music is well chosen by Ray, the friendly and cool bartender. He really knows his wines which is a big plus. Has become a regular fun hangout for me.

Bacon wrapped goat cheese stuffed dates are delicious! Quality of ingredients for the food here is above average and it shows! I like the fact that they have a daily fresh list which changes daily. The bartender here also makes fantastic drinks and is a great guy!

Nine One Three! This place is great. Staff, Cocktails, Food, Owners all top shelf. Burien needs this bar. Oh and try the burger with a big can of Rainier.

The little brother to the 909, same great menu. Covered outdoor, heated patio area. You can’t go wrong. If the 909 is full… slip into The Place Next Door. Good Food: Good Drinks: Great Wine List Great Service.

This is our neighborhood go-to spot for date night! We love the quaint bar, the great cocktails and of course the olives and nuts. Yum! I recommend coming on a week night– so cozy and quiet– but the weekends might find us there as well. The outside courtyard is a must in the summer or on clear nights. The heaters are great and help offset any chill you may feel! Of course the cocktails help with this as well!

You know that feeling that you get when you come across a business, restaurant, lounge or whatever and you think to yourself that you’ve discovered a hidden gem? That’s what happens when you visit 913 «the Place Next Door». With a name like that you can’t not at least check it out. Their menu is fresh, seasonal, light but worth it. You won’t need a to-go box and you will crave whatever you tired as soon as you leave. Their bartenders are not only outgoing but the know their stuff. Give them any new fancy smancy flavored liquor and they will know how to make it taste right in a drink. Don’t forget they are old pros at the classics so skip the wells and let them craft a beverage and you won’t regret it. I suggest the sweet tea off the specialty menu, but beware that sugary sweet flavor will knock you out if you aren’t looking.
