I have been to the 909 and the 913 on many occasions over the past few years. The food has always been top notch and the service friendly and helpful. We have always enjoyed our time spent at both venues. It is my favorite restaurant in the Burien area. We especially like the lamb shank! The 909 also supports live music on Saturday evenings. We have enjoyed listening to local entertainment while having our dinner. Keep up the good work 909!

Our go to restaurant in Burien now. excellent food great breakfasts and very accommodating for dietary restrictions. The very best coffee anywhere. wonderful atmosphere and super friendly wait staff and they have music on Saturday nights– you can even get up and dance if you feel like it. Oh, and great martini’s too.

This place was the worst example of a restaurant tonight that I have experienced in a very long time. We made reservations for dinner to see one of our favorite bands at the 909 on Saturday night at 7:00 pm. Made these reservations 6 days ahead of time and even had the option of choosing the table! Invited relatives from federal way to join us, excited for the night out with music and dinner and drinks! Well, we arrived at 7 pm and they had given our table away and they did not have any other tables for us. They were not even interested in finding an alternative option for us, so my wife asked to speak to the manager. After waiting 10 minutes for that opportunity, he basically said«sorry about that, we are human«. Not feeling a lot better from that response, we had no alternative but to go and have dinner elsewhere. We live in Burien and have dined at the 909 and the sister restaurant called 913 and also at the original owners restaurant called Angelos in Burien, and I would say that their customer service is the absolute worst I have experienced in a seriously long time! Why should restaurants treat a person like this when you go out of your way to come to their establishment and spend your hard earned money.

Absolutely incredible restaurant if you’re ever in the mood for good food(aka all the time). It’s not on the menu, but the bacon wrapped dates are to die for. The rib eye is my favorite(but everything is pretty delicious and all my friends and family have their own favorite dishes). Occasionally there is a «pork shank» available on the specials sheet and it’s amazing. The salumi platter is phenomenal and had many types of super delicious aged cured meats. For dessert, the brownie is the best(fruit crisps are also amazing). It’s ¾ baked so it’s still a little gooey and comes with salted caramel gelato on top. The atmosphere is upscale and the service is exceptional! In the end, Frank(the owner), knows how to make any dish taste like heaven and you won’t regret stopping by :).

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful experience. We walked in at 8 pm on a Tuesday and the restaurant ambience was so relaxing. I decided to get the chicken crepes and the raspberry green tea. Both items were extremely delicious.

909 + 913 have been very good this past month. The gentlemen waiter at 913 was very nice and has a lively style of presenting the menu, dishes, new dishes and other information that can be beneficial prior to ordering. I docked it one star because the happy hour seems to end to quick when the restaurant is doing the late happy hour. Aside from that, I think the waiter and 909 as a whole do a good job

Another fantastic meal. Had the roasted veggie salad with chicken. Family had kobe burger and rigatoni which are staples and equally great. Wine list includes solid Malbec. We left Seattle tonight to drive to the 909. Awesome. Again

Before our daughter took us to the airport, we went into Burien for lunch. We had an enjoyable and very tasty lunch. My wife had a chicken, fruit, and nut chopped salad and I had a cup of delicious sausage and kale soup and a three cheese panini. The panini was very good also. We shared three different kinds of cookies for dessert. There were left over cookies to take home and share with the absent son-in-law who was at work.

Breakfast is great here. The coffee is the best, and I love that you can get smaller breakfast meals and even a half order of the standard 2 egg breakfast. It’s very nice for those of us looking for a lighter breakfast. We also love coming here for dinner. Sometimes I have the same waitress for dinner on Friday night and breakfast on Saturday morning! The wait staff are all really friendly and great. Meal wise, I’ve had the crepes, rigatoni and the rib-eye steak and they have all been delicious. The only part of their meals(breakfast and dinner) that I’m not so into is their potatoes, but I think it’s just because they are just okay and the rest of their food is so amazing.

Great place for dinner! I had an amazing pork chop the other day in their 913 bar next to the 909 courtyard. All the entrees are wonderful. Best gourmet food in Burien.

This IS a gem in downtown Burien from what I have read from other posts. As soon as we walked in it was packed. A customer was nice enough to move to a smaller table so my sisters, kids and I can sit. The service was great. The food was good as well. I ordered a cappuccino, which was nice and strong. I also ordered the steak salad. The steak was cooked perfectly. The only complain I have was that the lettuce in my salad was a tad old. I noticed a few pieces that were pink so I just put them on the side and kept eating. I did have a bite of what my sister ordered which was the warmed cabbage salad and it was lovely. I wish I would have got that one instead.

It was my first time here and we, my wife and I, had a really great experience. Great service, the food was off the charts simple and filled with great flavors. Come here and enjoy it. A new favorite for us.

Originally came here for Breakfast, but at 11:30 they only had lunch going. The overall ambiance of the restaurant was charming and warm. I got a raspberry green tea and my mom got a cappuccino, both were really good. I settled on the quinoa kale salad which was very flavorful and filling. My mom got the BLT panini which was cooked nicely with crispy bacon. Which is always a plus. For both of us it was only $ 25 dollars, pretty inexpensive. I would rate them 5 stars, but parking is a little hard to find being its only street parking. I’ll go back again to try breakfast.

Came in on a Saturday morning around 10am. There wasn’t a queue but all tables were taken. Looking around, I wonder why they allow parties of two to hole up at tables that could seat 6 and 4. Just a pet peeve of mine, when people aren’t efficient in life. And I’m not talking permanent tables that can’t be moved, I’m talking they pushed single tables together, creating a table for 6, then sat 2 ladies down who proceeded to plop right in the center chairs on each side. Anyways, I’ll get off my soapbox and get on with reviewing the food, beverage and service now. Once we got seated, the service was most excellent. I really liked the medium noise level: just enough ambient noise to keep my baby sleeping, but just low enough to where hubby and I could conversate comfortably across the table from each other. As for the food: Frittata — I wasn’t really impressed with the frittata special of the day. It was really thin and felt elastic in texture. Couldn’t really tell what was in it and not super flavorful. French toast — A-Mazing! This is what I would come back for! Special of the day had bacon and brie stuffed inside delicious bread. I normally don’t even like French Toast, but saw others who had it and ordered it in the off-chance that I would actually enjoy it. Best decision that day! Almond steamed milk — really well made. We will definitely come back!

Awesome service! I went here for dinner and they have a selection of seasonal dishes available. Order quickly as they go quickly! I’ll have to come back for brunch sometime.
