Not surprising this store gets one star. Hello lady who hates her job, hates life, distrusts people, etc. I’ve never been treated so rudely for returning an unused pair of shoes in my life. I immediately got the«you wore these shoes» vibe before she even opened the boxes to check for wear! Lol I merely bought one pair for a one time use special event that I didn’t want to break the bank on but they weren’t dressy enough. The others didn’t go with my casual dress. This was only two days ago. So, on to the rude treatment… she looked at the shoes for wear which was fine bc they were spotless. I told her I did not wear them. Silence. She then declared she couldn’t take the $ 20 patent leather heels back bc they weren’t on the receipt. I was confused… how could they not be? I bought them all at one time, so it’s the right receipt. She kept saying«no it’s not on here… without the receipt I can only give you store credit… but thats all. i camt give you money for deez. they’re not on the receipt» with just a cold vibe like«you’re not pulling one over me little lady» So I said something like«I’m really confused, that’s crazy, aren’t the same shoes/codes used across all stores? may I see the receipt? «so I looked and right at the bottom of this not so long receipt was the line item. I show her and she says without apology«I didn’t see that…» Then she said without making eye contact«so, why you no go to the other store then?» I said, «because its out of my way…» Like… i cant take them back to any Payless? The only other thing she said to me the whole time(without eye contact ever) was«sign at the bottom». No «I’m sorry» or «thank you, have a good night» just turned around and gave me the cold shoulder. What’s that about? The two gals that helped me at the Burbank empire center store were fabulously helpful and sweet. I’m so glad that this woman isn’t my only impression of this business. Please consider hiring someone who brings people back into your store rather than pushes them away never to return.
