I just came into this place to see my friend’s band. Charged me $ 5 at the door to get into this dive. Fine. But then, as I was watching the band, the bartender came up to me and told me if I was there for the music, it was a 2-drink minimum. So not only did I have to pay just to stand in there but I was also being forced to buy two drinks. I wasn’t going to drink at this time so I had no option but to leave… after being in there for about 8 minutes. Obviously without getting my cover charge back. BS.

Wth? Its 4:40 pm Saturday October 3rd2015… i just called to ask if they by any chance were showing the ufc fight, a girl answered the phone saying«HELLO» i was confused i thought it was someone’s house phone or someone’s cellphone number, so i asked” hello, Sorry am i calling a bar”? She said«UHHUMM, HELLO?» So WTF!!! what bar/business answeres the phone this way? Whoa! Smh, if they are that rude over the phone i really dont want to find out how rude they are in person.

I was shocked when they ran out of my wine and the bartender went to buy my wine specifically for me!!! Talk about customer service… Amazing!

Very unprofessional a group of us went to see my brother perform and the bartenders were very rude. We were told that we were to loud and I admit we may have been 3 girls that can get loud and needed to go inside and we did. The guy who told us to go inside wanted to take our guy friend outside to talk to him but was in his face and said he was in charge. That is not the way to run a business. Besides that the bartender grabbed a cup of water out of my hand and threw it out saying that water was not allowed in the front and then told us to leave. I have been here before and it was a great experience but after this I will not return.

This place is a true drive. Sure Theres a very limited selection of booze, and very few people around… but it’s simple and cheap the way a neighborhood corner bar should be. Nice people working there too.

Strong drinks. Great bartenders. Live music on Fridays and Saturdays. The place was apparently shady in the past but I’ve had nothing but fun the times I gone.

I REALLY enjoy coming to Jimmys. My fiancé and I live down the street so we can just walk there any moment. The owners are the most beautiful people and are so Humble and kind. I think just this alone sets a wonderful atmosphere already. Now I’m no great singer but I’ve even attempted karaōke and it’s all in the name of good fun! Definitely a customer for life !

shout out to the worst bar ever. Terrible service, terrible bar tenders, and terrible drinks. Went in to get a mechilada and it was the worst drink. Their cash register was broken, took us like 30 minutes to pay for our drinks because we wanted to get out of there quick. Don’t recommend it.

This one is for all you ladies who were late bloomers. The ones who got into the game late. Watching from the quad all the developed girls(with big asses & tig ol bitties) in high school mac on the cute guys from homeroom. You wanna know where they are right now? Those 10’s in high school? They are at Jimmys bar. Seems like they peaked in high school & it was all downhill from there. First, they flirt with my high school crush & now I gotta try to enjoy my beer in the same vicinity. No thanks, I’m too old to be «kicking it». Your Homegirl, Violy

My boyfriend and I wandered in one night to check out the new bar on the block. It was ok, the music was not my style as it was just Spanish music. I have nothing against that but I had no idea the bar was a Mexican style bar. A friend of ours invited us on another day to watch comedy, we gave it another go and Comedy night is the best night. We had a great time. Would be nice if they can get some beers on tap. My biggest thumbs down is the lighting. Spot lights over the pool tables. Then darkness everywhere else. It would be nice to have better soft lighting all around. This new place has potential!

This Place blows! It smella like Piss. There is never a sole in there, and the music is so loud you cant hear yourself think. Stop posting Fake Unilocal reviews from your friends. The bar sucks. Why cant people who have the financial abiltiy to open a PUB do it right? Place reminds me of a really bad bowling alley bar. Add pee smell now… Cheers Me thinks not!!!

Jimmy’s the best new dive bar in Burbank! Trivia is free on Thursday nights from 8 – 10 and they give away free drinks and a ton of prizes. It’s all totally free, which is nice. Grab a cheap drink and play free pool, too! I just moved a few blocks from here and this is definitely my new place.

Let me start by saying that I hope to change my review soon since I live about 200 yards from this place. It’s definitely an improvement from playa azul. I don’t feel like I’m going to get stabbed just walking in the door. This place feels like a college bar in a non-college neighborhood. I really hope they stop all the nonsense with karaōke and a DJ, and comedy night. It’s a neighborhood bar. Cater to people who are walking there. I hate hearing people butcher songs while I’m trying to relax after work. Please just serve decent beer(at least have one craft brew) have a good juke box, and a place I can relax after work with my wife. Take a cue from the other majorly successful bar of a similar size in Burbank, Tony’s Darts Away. They specialize in something people want(local craft beer) and they have a welcoming yet divey atmosphere. They also serve amazing bar food. Jimmy’s doesn’t have a single one of those. Also, please stop putting flyers on my car.

I tend not to update my reviews unless the service sucks or something«Wows» me on my next visit. As you can see I’m giving this joint another 5 stars because I’m fucking wow’d(Is that a word Danny? It is now bitches!) So here it goes, these are the reasons that Jimmy’s has become my bar of choice: 1) Tues.- Comedy night with Steve Cooper’s bitter comic ass bringing in great talent and telling jokes that would even make my grandma laugh… she dead. 2) Wed.- Karaōke! Ok not a big fan of karaōke, but I will say that it’s fun watching people with balls get up and sing everything from Johnny Cash to Rhianna and Eminem. Plus beer always numbs the pain in your ears when someone gets up thinking they sound like Beyoncé, but really sound like a 1985 Ford Taurus with a blown engine. 3) Thurs.- FREEPOOL! Yes folks you read that shit right, free pool. So save your quarters for laundry day, buy some beer, and shoot some pool. 4) Sat.- D.J. Night. Enjoy the musical stylings of D.J. Whatshisname(seriously folks, I don’t know his name) as he mixes old school, new shit, and if you’re lucky you might even catch him spinning Suavemente by Elvis Crespo which always gets the ladies up and shaking their maracas(that means Boobs for all you anglo-americans out there) 5) Sun.- Pool Tournament night. $ 5 buckaroonies to sign up, but a priceless night of fun and fellas watch out because when you play the ladies they tend to distract you with massive cleavage trying to mess your shot up. Stay strong and resolute in your attempt to win my brothers! 6) The staff. Jimmy, Crystal, and Alex are always so welcoming and make you feel like family. HDTV’s always have a game on whether it’s Baseball, Basketball(GOCLIPPERS!!) Hockey, even Nascar… which I personally find boring as hell, but again beer soothes even the most bored of beasts. Happy Hour from 3:00p.m. to 6:00p.m. open 7 days a week unless they have a private party going on, then you can just go next door to the liquor store and get drunk in your car. Just remember don’t drink and drive, you’re more likely to spill.

Wow! Big difference. I remember when this place was called playa azul. You did not want to be in this place at all. It felt like a scene from that movie from dusk till Dawn lol except with out any sexy Salma Hayek look-a-likes walking around. Anyways, this place has been totally remodeled with new management. New waitress’s, different beers, new pool tables, comedy night, karaōke, all that good stuff. Too bad they stopped barbecuing though.
