Andino Construction

I highly recommend Andino Construction. Alfie redid the kitchen in my duplex. His bid was competitive with all the others, and what I liked best is that he did all the work and didn’t farm it out to anyone else. His attention to detail was amazing. He has the experience and know-​how to trouble shoot when problems arose. He was flexible and easy going when I was indecisive, but focused on detail. He finished right on time and the kitchen looks amazing.

Called Andino for a quote to fix up my garage, patch the exterior and paint everything a $ 3000 grand job. He basically complained about how hard it would be to patch the walls and cracks etc. and didn’t even seem interested. He said would send me a quote and never did, no call nothing. The 2 stars are for showing up on time, thats it. Unimpressed.

I don’t know what it is with construction companies/​contractors with not returning phone calls. I decided to call Andino Construction based on reviews, but have not received a return phone call.

Most people don’t do a complete remodel more than once or twice in their lifetime. So, like most people, this was a huge endeavor for me. The estimates of various contractors were far ranging, and so were their levels of competence and credentials. I had to let the first contractor go, because I had clearly made a mistake. I continued on my search and in all I met with about 8 or 9 contractors.
I opted to hire Andino Construction in my attempt to right my wrong. I had set my budget, but realized I couldn’t do all that I wanted to within those constraints. I discussed this with the owner, Alfie Andino. He worked with me to include the big ticket items that I wanted and showed me how we could still get a great result in other areas while trimming the fat.
I don’t expect someone to know and understand the details of MY industry, so I appreciated that Alfie didn’t expect me to understand the details of his. When I inquired regarding various situations or processes, he very professionally and patiently explained or showed me for the benefit of my understanding. Believe me, I inquired alot, that’s part of how I’ve made a very nice living for 30 years.
Raphael, his father, shared his perspective on my original kitchen design and cabinet selection that helped me to utilize the space so much better and make it appear roomier. I love my kitchen!
Wayne, is a true artist, literally and figuratively. He, like Alfie and Raphael, is very meticulous and takes pride in his work. I was quite comfortable, when any one of them was here to supervise. They each put a bit of themselves into their beautiful craftsmanship.
I have a 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo. They stripped it to the drywall and cement floors in every room, removed the acoustic ceiling, resurfaced it, repaired a saggy water damage ceiling in the hall, put up a new wall to cover paneling, remodeled the kitchen from top to bottom, leveled the floor and a windowsill. Alfie gave me his advise on the kitchen lighting. Inner lighting for cabinets with the glass doors and under cabinets throughout. I love my kitchen! Remodeled both bathrooms. Installed beautiful flooring throughout: porcelain tiles in the kitchen and master bath, split river rock mosaic in the other. Wood laminate planks throughout the rest. Installed backsplashes too: onyx mosaic tiles for the kitchen backsplash and glass mosaic tiles for the bathroom backsplashes, one with a porclain boarder. Resurfaced and painted the whole place. Of course there are more details, but you get the idea. Oh and did I tell you… I love my kitchen!
Without hesitation I would recommend Alfie Andino and his team. They did a fabulous job, are courteous & professional. My little boy can’t even remember what our place LOOKED like before, he loves it too!

He was the best – we had a drywall emergency, and he fit us in right away, and did a fantastic job. We had friends over the day he did the work, and they couldn’t believe how good the wall looked when he was done. Highly, highly recommended.

Alfie was extremely professional and completed the project on time and on budget.
He demoed an old bathroom in my basement and patched the wall and floor. You can’t even tell it used to be a bathroom. Looks like a nice closet now.
He also set up my washer dryer that needed some custom piping and stuff to reach where it was. Works perfectly.
Lastly, he did some soundproofing to my basement walls. They look like walls still (a good thing) and have a air gap, a layer of roofing, and a layer of drywall. My only regret is not having him use quietrock soundproof drywall, which I recently learned about.
Alfie left the garage and basement clean when he left.

Andino Construction must use magic. How else could a contractor rebuild several rooms and a bunch of doors in just a few days? How else could a contractor do it for a very reasonable amount and not go over budget? How else could a contractor leave a house cleaner than it was before construction? This company is nothing short of miraculous. I can’t image any company doing a better job. I’m a pretty picky Unilocal Elite, but I couldn’t be happier!
