worst breakfast i ever ate. eggs were slimey and bacon was so thin. charged me 50 cents for onions in my homefries. just awful meal. stay away from this place.

Good food! GREAT PRICE! Small restaurant but good service and good coffee if you are just looking for a fast place to eat. Enjoyed myself and will go back again.

As the previous reviewer said, «No trains here». Was here for breakfast in February 2013. On the plus side, the waitress [server] was good. The food pancakes, eggs, toast, coffee was below average. The restaurant & booths are dated. [hard bench type seats] If your coming here for ambiance, it’s kind of bare bones and loud. We couldn’t help hearing the retirees gathering in the booth behind us & could hear their entire conversation. You get what you pay for.

Let me start with this. I hate to be the whistle-​blower, but no trains actually stop here, so if that’s why you’re coming, you’re going to end up terminally disappointed. However, if a diner meal is your ticket to ride, you’re on the right track.
I was here in 2011 with Joe — several times — and then again in Spring 2012 with my car share friend. Neither time did I particularly enjoy it, and while it’s borderline 4 star food, it’s also overpriced which really annoys me.
Located at the junction of the Clinton and Harlem lines. My former guitarist and conductor Joe Sikorski used to insist on us going here every time he was hungry, and I would usually pay. Since I didn’t really have any train fare to speak of, that means it’s already got some negative bias hanging over it, but the waitress was friendly and the food was okay, so I can’t complain. I can’t remember what I used to order or eat (which is usually a bad sign), but it was definitely good food because we went back there a few times, and usually ended up taking a to-​go box car.

Good home made food and nice prices. Had Chicken Pot Pie and can say they were pretty good. Huge chunks of chicken in it and very filling. The only downfall was that it was a bit bland. Would have loved it if it had a nice chicken taste to it.
Dessert was great! Fresh homemade Apple Crisp! One word: YUM!
We’ll go back! Wait staff was very pleasant and it was nice to see owner interact with customers children with the active train set on wall. Very nice!
