Great guest service, they treat you like you’re an old friend visiting. There aren’t any labels on the food items placed in the warmers, but the ladies there are very conversable, and are willing to tell you what is in all the dishes. Trust me I couldn’t decide cuz there was so many options and I’m a very indecisive person when it comes to food. I ended up picking the popular dishes, pork adobo and pork sinigang accompanied with steamed rice and pancit. Pretty happy with my choice! If you’re looking to try someplace different and with A homey feel check out this place!

Hearty food! I had the ginger soup long ago(that was delicious) and recently had the sausage and chicken soup over rice and noodles(I’m not sure of their names — that’s how authentic this place is. Also their menu might vary at times.) I was craving their food and it hit the spot. The lady is really nice there and the food tastes like home. Meaning, the restaurant’s first priority might not be being fancy, but their food is made with care and the ambiance is friendly. To some, it’s might be a small, hot place so I recommend togo especially now that summer is here. The menu might be hard to read so you can just point out to the ones you like(they are displayed like buffet-style). I personally liked the rice more than the noodles. If you want to eat rice with the soups that’s a good choice. I’m pretty sure my huge togo box should have costed more, but it was under $ 6 — I think she put in some extra food for me… or maybe the servings are really generous. If you’re feeling adventurous and you need a homy, Asian meal, try a bit of everything at Filipino Express and I think you’ll have lots of fun with the delicious spices, interesting herbs, and hearty & colorful ingredients!

Feels like I’m at one of my girlfriend’s family get togethers! Really enjoyed the food and people who work there! Caution this place will make you want to take a nap! Nice location and a lot of room to sit down if you don’t want to take it to go!

Best Real Sisig, not chopped up lechon kawali to be passed off as sisig imitation. Pork Adobo so tender and so so good.

I was visiting the Anaheim area and was looking for a quiet little Filipino restaurant and the GPS brought me here. First of all, all of the ladies that work in here are so nice and sweet! I came here with my family of 5 for dinner and there was only one other couple in there eating in their dining area so it was definitely quiet. They had a good amount of different types of Filipino food which I was pretty happy about. My kids had already eaten prior to us going here so my husband and I just got combo plates for ourselves while our kids played on the iPad. Anyways, I had a pretty good conversation with one of the women that worked there while I waited for them to make me fresh lumpia’s and once I sat down with my order, another lady that worked there came up to us and started talking to our kids. And then she went back to the back and came back and gave our kids their own plates of food for free! They absolutely did not have to do that but they were just so nice and were the typical sweet Filipino women that force you to eat LOL(not in a bad way!!). Other than having super nice people working there, their food was really good! That night, I got a combo with rice, dinuguan, longunisa, and caldereta(if I remember correctly) and everything was hot and fresh! The lady who worked in the back even saw that I was almost done with my food and asked me if I was ready for my halo halo yet! Lol! «Ofcourse!!» I ended up eating here every day until I had to go back to Hawaii. Lol

This place really treat you like a family. Great service! The pork adobo and the sweeter version was great. They both were good in their own way and the sauce on the rice is literally icing on the cake. I got to come back here to try sisig and lechon kawaii. Good price too!

If I didn’t look out the window I would be sure I was in Manila. Very authentic, fresh, and very tasty food. I was greeted by a very friendly lady behind the counter who gave samples of a few different items… I tried 5 different items for dinner and I would recommend them all. I liked that you went in, got your food, paid, and as soon as you were finished, you were on your way. Quick and easy. I will definetely be back!!!

I absolutely LOVE this place! I’m always greeted by the kind woman that runs the place, and she always gives ridiculous amounts. You’ll see me there on a Tuesday or Friday when they have kare kare… it’s what I get every time and she knows it! Great price for the amount & quality of food! I would definitely recommend this spot over any«fast food» joint.

This is the place where you wanna go to when you’re looking for Turon. They have the best turon. We always order this for parties. More recently they added Haas to their menu. Although it’s by order only, their isaw satisfied my craving for Filipino street food that’s been brewing since 2004. Both manangs are the best. Really great service with really great food.

It’s a Filipino ‘Turo Turo”(cafeteria type) restaurant. You go in, you point to the entrée you want. It comes with rice and noodles(pancit). Typically you’d get 2 item combo. They have the usual suspects in Filipino cuisine: Longanisa which is a Filipino sausage. Usually a breakfast item and it’s on the sweet side. BBQ Pork or Chicken on a stick. These is one of my favorites. You can’t go wrong with either. Pork Adobo is another popular dish. It’s on the fatty side most of the time, but that’s what taste good for an adobo dish IMO. Sinigang(sour soup) is a staple as well. Bitter Melon is another of my favorites here. They don’t have it often, but I like the way they cook it. And they have a lot more items and it changes daily. They also offer catering, but I have not used their services in that regards. I really want to like this place and give it a better rating. It’s so close to my house. The service is great. But honestly, the food is just okay. The food sits out on those food warmers a long time and it’s reflected in how the food looks and taste. With better options in Cerritos /Artesia, I find myself here only on those days that I am really craving Filipino food and not in the mood to drive that far.

If not for this place being one of the very few Filipino food places near my house and work here in Buena Park, I would not have discovered this place because it seemed lost among the Korean majority that surrounds the booming Beach Blvd and La Mirada/Malvern intersection. But I’m glad I stepped inside the first time I did. What caught my attention was the sincere attentiveness of Nanay(Mom) Odette, and her sister as well. I felt at ease and welcomed. Her accommodating aura did not stop there. She would always offer to make fried rice, or fried egg for me if I wanted it. If I called ahead and they did not have something available, she would always ask me if I wanted to place an order, such as when I was craving some Lumpiang Tawge/Toge(Deep fried spring rolls with sautéed bean sprouts and other veggies). The food varies so you may find something different the next day. One time, Ms. Odette experimented with some squash/pumpkin cooked in coconut milk with a spicy kick. I loved it! Breakfast was also available, but it’s just too bad that they open at 10AM. Many times, my employees would be craving for TOCILOG(Tocino or sweet cured pork, Sinangag or Fried Rice, and Itlog or Egg — usually sunny side up or over easy), with the«TO» part easily substituted with TAP for Tapa or garlic marinated beef, or «LONG» for Longanisa or cured sausage.(TAPSILOG/LONGSILOG). This meant that we had to wait for 10AM just to place the order. hehe. But it’s all good. Oh and did I mention that the younger lady made absolutely awesome Ice Scramble? If you don’t know what that is, you better check it out. It’s what I enjoyed during the summer months as an elementary school kid in the Philippines. It’s difficult to explain, but I did post a photo on this Unilocal page. It’s sort of like shaved ice with simple syrup, powdered milk, and chocolate syrup. Compared to those«point-point» places that make the majority of Filipino food joints, this is not as huge, but it’s its small, homey atmosphere that keeps drawing loyal customers back.

Ate here last week, and I must say the quality of food is better than most filipino sit down places. The lady was very nice and packed the food onto my place. I also got Sago Sago, the lady gave me a free refill. I live in Ontario, but my family lives in Buena Park, so from now on if I am craving some quick Filipino food, there is no doubt i will go here…

Food tastes authentic and if you call ahead they usually can make anything you want so its ready when you come in. My go to items are the sisig, eggplant torta, dinuguan with garlic fried rice and pancit. I usually fall asleep after all the yumminess… but not until after a delicious Halo Halo desert. Also must tries are the barbeque sticks(my daughter’s favorite), pork adobo, and beef steak. On certain occassions they have beef mechado. If this is available, get it! You will not be dissappointed. When available, mechado replaces sisig in my go to order. They also have biko(sticky rice desert with a caramel like sugar on top) or turon(sweet fried banana eggroll). If you get biko, ask them to microwave it for 5 – 10 seconds. Its even better a little bit warm with sugar topping a little melted.

My new local spot for fresh, authentic, and tasty Filipino food! Stopped by for my first time and glad I did! The pancit was prepared right, sausage tastes sweet and tender, pork adobo was on point, and the portions plentiful! And only 3 miles from my house so im stoked! :-)

I came to this Filipino Fast Food restaurant for lunch. FOOD: Calderetta(spicy beef) — okay Chicken adobo — bland Pancit — good White rice — bland of course ATMOSPHERE: Small place, approx. 8 to 9 tables, clean, quiet, relaxed. Parking is tight. Friendly service. PRICE: $ 6.00 for a 2 entre combo. You also get to choose if all rice or half rice and half pancit. Overall, the food is cheap, not much selection and the food is on the bland side.
