They had nothing in stock except for 1 type of meat. No beans, chicken etc.
Then it took 40 mins to give me my to go order.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I waited for almost an hour for our food. I understand it’s Friday and it may get busy, however, common courtesy goes a long way. Not once did the waiter come to our table to appease us or to give an update on the order. When we finally lost our patience and asked about the order, another waitress gave us a huge attitude. Way to lose a tip. Food is good but it’s ruined with the service. Don’t waste your money. There are many other restaurants that would appreciate your business.

I travel a lot for work and these are the best tacos I’ve ever had. The food is made to order and you’re so close to the border you know it’s authentic! I order the La Gringa with trompo, but everything is fantastic here. I went with 2 other people and we ordered seconds and the bill wasn’t even $ 25. Best part: They are open until 3am. Very nice staff too.

Food was just ok but the restaurant was so dirty. I was surprised with the trash all over the floor and tables not cleaned. We ate out this past Saturday evening and regretted making the stop. I have a hard time eating in a dirty place.

Very good tacos. Brownsville area has a lot of taco joints but not many of them are good. The barbacoa tacos here are delicious and the price was right. Service was friendly too. Clean environment. Will go back.

I had been staying at the Hilton down the road and happened to stumble upon this place after reading the Unilocal reviews. Let me just say this is hands down the best, most mouthwateringly delicious, authentic taco, pirata, torta place I’ve ever been to in the valley! I love, love, love this place!

Excellent choice if you’re staying in one of the nearby hotels. You can get a great meal for just a couple of dollars, and it will be an authentic Mexican experience. No tex mex served here. If that’s your thing, this is the place.

The best taco pirata in Brownsville. They always have lemonade!
The sour cream is always available to you in a bottle and not in a very small container like other taquerias were they are very limited. I also love the tostadas with bistec and also the tripa is really good. I totally recommended have been eating here for +5 years.

Incredibly good, authentic Mexican food. Nobody speaks English and the menu is in Spanish so be ready to break out your Spanish 101 skills. The prices are the lowest of anywhere I’ve been in years. Their steak tacos are $.95 and are bangin. Get a bunch of ‘em. Really easy access from the Courtyard and Residence Inn as it is across the street.

The food is excellent. The price can’t be beat. Restaurant appears super clean. But neither staff member spoke any English which would scare away many of my Anglo friends. They could turn this into a gold with one bi-​lingual staff.

Best tacos this side of the border. Better than some I’ve had in Mexico actually. The frijoles are also fantastic. It’s a nice small place with a good staff. The menu is in Spanish and they’re open late.

Came across this place in a search for good authentic tacos. Success! The staff was really friendly and attentive. The frijoles especiales were soooo good, I had never had frijoles like those. Our tacos were great and so was the gringa. I WILL be back next time we come to town.

Omg! This place is off the chain! They have amazing Taquitos fully loaded with cilantro and onions. The caramelized onions are such a nice touch to the meal. They have great tortas, with any meat you want. the beans, must try the especial. They have crema, red and green sauce to perfect your choice of tacos. Try the barbacoa and bisteck, lovely. Must try this local joint, nice!
