I threw a birthday party here and I as well as my guests were extremely pleased with just about everything. The entertainment was great most Russian restaurants usually have a Russian singer singing American songs but I enjoyed that they had a DJ playing the music instead. I wish the dance floor was bigger but we made it work. The food was fantastic all of the guests loved the French cuisine. We had a banquet and we were able to sample a lot of the dishes. The décor of the restaurant is stunning very classy. Overall a great place to celebrate any occasion I hope to be coming back soon.

The mushroom ravioli was incredible!

The waiter suggested the honey cake, and it was amazing. 15 layers of pure heaven!

Threw Birthday party here on Saturday night for my mother in law. Good food and service along with a fun and lively crowd. Spoke to manager in advance to make some arrangements for party. Everything was delivered as promised. Nice place to celebrate.

Visited Vis a Vis on a Saturday evening to celebrate our parents’ Anniversary. Our table was ready when we arrived on a terrace with impeccable linens and décor. Every aspect of the service was friendly, efficient and professional and attentive without being obsequious.
Farukh was very helpful and went above and beyond making sure everything was exactly the way we wanted it to be, he has been on top of everything the entire night! We had Prix Fixe dinner banquet and everything was flawless and delicious!
Given the quality of the food and preparation, the prices were very fair.

Had my Sons 2nd birthday party at Vis a Vis April 3, 2016. Everything was perfect, fresh and delicous !! Thank you to the manager Arcady who went above and beyond making sure everything was exactly the way we wanted it to be; And Thank you to our main waiter Farukh and his busboys who were on top of everything the entire night.

The private room at this restaurant is amazing, it is beyond gorgeous! Food is good the only downside to this restaurant I would say is the snotty boss/​manager that greeted me… he needs to spruce up his costumer service skills especially when talking to a client that is about to pay thousands of dollars to have a party in his private room

Heard horror stories about this place. Decided to give it a try on a Friday night. Both me and wife loved it. Service was super attentive and display was spot on. They very busy, but it seemed like the staff was very engaged with the guests. Ordered octopus salad, lobster bisque and seafood entrée of the menu-​shared with the wife. Food was amazing, and I highly recommend this place. Will be back!

This place is AWESOME! We had our daughter’s first birthday brunch here and everything was perfect — food was delicious, there was a lot of it (especially for brunch), great options, excellent wait staff. Overall a great and stress-​free experience! Highly recommend!

Nice restaurant, definitely different than your traditional Russian restaurant.
There is no real dance floor which is why I took off a star. They have a DJ booth and interesting light effects which makes it seem as though you’re at a club but you can’t dance!
Food was not bad. Lots of variety to satisfy any palate. I love potatoes and mushrooms but the potatoes here were a bit too over salted for my liking. The filet mignon was way too chewy and rare as well, I didn’t finish it.
The bus boys deserve a 5. They were very attentive and super sweet. One of them saw my fiancé reaching for the pitcher of coke and ran up to us right away to assist us so that we didn’t pour our own refreshments. They were also very knowledgable in the menu.
Overall is give the place a 3.5 but look forward to updating and giving a higher rating.

My wife and I found our selves here on our 30th anniversary, having no idea of the restaurants in the area we took a chance on this one. We truly could not have been more pleased with the food, it’s presentation and the attentive staff that made our night wonderful.
We both had steaks that will rival the country’s top rated establishments. We can’t wait to go back.

Never can go wrong with the seafood here. Just hope they aren’t fishing for it in coney island.
Caesar salad was also well made and delicious. Chicken was succulent. My complaint would be that the food is overpriced. Prob a 3.5 star if i could give half stars.

This place is so fantastic, invite 16 people for my Birthday to celebrate here. Everyone left the place very happy and satisfied. The food was excellent, service was amazing. The business manager Arkady was very helpful with all our questions and special requests.
This is the place where you want to be and come back again.
Restaurant staff is professional, they know how to make your night special.
I’m definitely a fan of Vis a Vis. The only minus, the place gets over crowded on Saturday night and there is not much space to dance. We will definitely be back to try more things!

The restaurant gave me the «being in the best restaurant in Russia» feeling! Very upscale yet cozy atmosphere. Food is super tasty. Italian burrata and tomatoes appetizer is worth trying. Service is great!

Beautiful interior and exterior. I come here for business meetings every once in a while and every time I get impeccable service. The food here is great too, even the cappuccino’s taste like heaven in your mouth. & the atmosphere is one of the the best you can find in Brooklyn. You definitely have to try this place out if you’ve never been here, but only if you’re prepared to spend a good amount of money, because two cappuccino’s runs me around 20 $. For the service, environment, & taste I don’t mind spending the cash.

Came here for the Halloween party last night and it was amazing. From the red carpet entry to the photographers taking pics as you walk in, you feel like a celebrity. They also had the women in costumes dressed very sexy and dancing on the bar. The waiters were festive as well with their ghoulish face paint. The red lighting was great and so was the custom Halloween menu with special drinks and food. A majority of people were dressed in costume. I appreciated that. Overall, 5 stars for last night.
Farroq is an excellent waiter. He is very professional and always suggests the best drinks. He always takes good care of us when we come.
Also, there was a Halloween costume contest. I won one of the prizes.

Love this place! Food is good and ingredients are fresh. Service is friendly and sufficient. Very nice wine list selection, pretty impressive list of daily specials. Love their desert menu as well. Go for the peach bread pudding:)

I celebrated my 30th birthday here last night and must say I was beyond pleased. I’m really critical about any place and people I encounter so I must say they deserved this. Everyone: The hostess, the manager, the gentlemen opening doors, and the servers were polite, well groomed, dressed accordingly and chic. The food was delicious and presentation was on point. The DECOR :) I fell in love with the décor online which ultimately was the deciding factor out of the other options I was browsing. Online did it no justice. It is simply elegant, beautiful, and charming. Great place for celebrations, dates and more. Thank you Vis a Vis. I was not disappointed and it contributed to my having a great celebration for my 30th birthday.

A place with a unique ambiance, that makes you want to come back many times over. Their selection of food is excellent, I enjoyed and would recommend Foie Gras with caramelized apples for appetizer, and Rosemary lamb for main course. They also have a tremendous raw bar, so it is a great place for seafood lovers. The staff is very friendly and courteous. Planning my next big event at Vis a Vis.

Planned my husbands birthday here. The place looks very nice in terms of décor. Seating and chairs look beautiful! Whether you go here for brunch or dinner the food tastes great. It is pricey but well worth it. The service is on point, very attentive. They have live music and dj on Friday and Saturday nights. Perfect local spot for an occasion.

Just recently went there with my family and it was delicious! staff members are very polite professional and fast, didn’t expect that seriously in other restaurants you waiting for like 20 – 30 min to be served but this guys showed great respect and delicious food! Great restaurant all around.
I typically don’t like Russian type restaurants, but I decided to take my time and review Vis-​A-​Vis. Modern décor, a standalone bar, supper attentive staff and superb food.
My girlfriend took me there on a lunch and I was really impressed.
Will recommend!!!

Vis a vis is by far my favorite place with a lovely mix of Russian and French cuisine. I had dinner there several times and every time my experience was exceptional. Starting from the waiters who are extremely attentive, polite and helpful, and décor that is so pleasant and calming going to the menu that exceeded everybody’s expectations. Last time I brought a friend visiting from Ukraine and an American friend visiting from Long Island and both of them were astonished by the quality and taste of the dishes they’ve ordered and were very much surprised by the great wine choice this lovely restaurant has to offer.

Great atmosphere. Delicious food. Amazing atmosphere.
Been here only once, on a bday party, but left with an amazing experience. They know how to make your night special .
Everything was simply delish, nice presentation, tasty food. Specially loved the LARDON salad. They also have full bar so u can simply get any drink you want .
Service. Even if it’s busy night … Trust me you’ll get proper service. Fast and super friendly.
I’ll definitely coming back and you should give it a try if u haven’t been here…

Oysters were super fresh. Ribeye steak cooked to perfection. OMG risotto is simply best.
