I saw this restaurant in the neighborhood where I usually take kids to the beach. After reading reviews I was even more curious. I guess it depends on expectations. If some reviewers were expecting to get to 3 Michelin star restaurant on Manhattan beach than I understand some disappointment. It’s definitely not Per Se or Daniel. And you can see it by the prices too. If you expect great quality food and outstanding service service — you wouldn’t be disappointed. Also the restaurant is brand new and has beautiful design. Everything we ate vas fresh and tasty. We started with bread and butter with pâté, homemade. We tried Lobster bisque and vichyssoise– both very tasty, beautifully served and I’m really know how bisque should taste. Beet and goat cheese salad was also good but not outstanding. Artic-char tartar was great, served beautifully, with 3 different souses, 1 of them was homemade ponzu. I didn’t really care for authenticity of the cuisine, and didn’t mind some asian«kick» in it. Fish was very fresh and tasted great. For the main dish we shared cognac chicken that was as tasty as everything else. All the time we spend there servers was extremely attentive and helpful and price was quite low for the restaurant of this level. Will definitely come again.

Yea that five star rating was obviously from the management hahahaha. Wines are from France… yea right… They served us a cheap super sour Processco from the corner liquor store.
