This is my favorite local vegan restaurant in all of Brooklyn. This past Saturday(Jan 30), I had brunch with 8 of my girlfriends to celebrate my birthday. Not only was the service impeccable, but the food was absolutely delicious. This was my 3rd time eating at V-Spot(Park Slope location) and it seems to get better and better with every visit. I had the black bean empanadas, tried some avocado fries, lentil soup, and the arepas con todo. For dessert, our amazing waiter, Chris, suggested a lemon cheesecake which was delicious but I ate most of the chocolate brownie with some of my friend’s ice cream(yum!). I was extremely happy to be surrounded by my friends and family, 3 which are vegan and 1 which is vegetarian. My other 4 non vegan/vegetarian friends have expressed to me that they really enjoyed the food and would consider going back. Becoming a pescatarian in December 2013 and then a vegan in June 2015, it warms my heart to know there are restaurants I can eat at where I don’t have to be concerned about animals being harmed, or my health being jeopardized. Thank you, V-Spot, for such an amazing birthday and a special thanks to Chris for making sure my girls and I had everything we needed to make my birthday brunch a memorable one.

Great vegan Latin American inspired food! I tried the empanadas and the burrito they were both great, very affordable and flavorful! The staff is so nice and the atmosphere is very relaxed, sexy lighting ect. They even host cool events like comedy shows on specific nights. But head’s up, they only take cash and the drinks are weak. They should consider going BYOB, that’s the only thing that could make this place any better.

When I called for a pick up the woman on the phone was cheerful, when I mentioned the groupon her demeanor took a real nosedive, «Oh…a groupon»… I ordered 6 of the black bean/plantain empanadas and a bottle of salsa verde. On pick up I was unable to get the salsa verde(which is served with the black bean on the menu) I was told the red one comes with the groupon and they don;t make enough of the green one… ok, no biggie. When I got home-a 20 minute walk – I opened them to find all 6 were nothing but chopped sietan and a tiny bit of mushroom & scallion. I purposely ordered the only empanada they have without sietan … I’m a vegetarian but don;t care for fake meats and scallion taste or seasoning… they were just blah. Thankfully I had some homemade guacamole to smother them with… I ate 2 then wondered what to do with the rest – didn’t even want to give them away – I took the filling out of the greasy soggy skin. thinking I might use it for an omelette, but the unappetizing smell made me throw it all in the trash. I was very disappointed. I telephoned to let them know I did not receive black bean. A different woman was apparently unable to understand the simple message that i did not get the right item but would not be returning them… she said they did have black beans in them… I don’t know why restaurants participate in groupon when they feel badly about them and treat customers who use them in a second rate manner. I have used groupons where I do go back to the restaurant again, but not this one.

I took my best friend here for her birthday. It was my first time eating vegan food and it was surprisingly good. I ordered the chicken parm hero. I also tasted the sweet plantains, fries, and Colombian empanadas. Everything was great. And the waiter Chris was awesome. He was friendly and informative. I will def be going back.

I am in love with the food at the V-Spot. I’ve been going there once every two weeks for a while now. We always get our food quickly and always have fresh water. V Spot Burrito is great and Peanut Butter Bomb cake was really good for dessert.

Greeted nicely. Had to wait about 20’min since the place is too small(considering the amount of people who walked in and out due to the wait time). Ordered Cabernet and the mojito — both pretty good. The appetizer sampler was fantastic — over priced for the amount, but good. Ordered the philly cheese steak and the supreme quesadilla with chicken(Not a big fan of either). I ordered side of guacamole(never came). I ordered death by chocolate and I was told they ran out of the peanut butter cake… Such a small place but so much confusion. Point being: overpriced food that is mediocre= not worth it. My suggestion: go to veggie castle 2. More options. Fresher. More affordable.

As an update, I ordered the spinach burrito. Be careful if you do not like spicy food. There seems to be hot sauce in it. Very tasty choice

If you are vegan and want delicious, game day food, this is your place! Great wings, excellent nachos, etc. However, if you are a vegan health nut, this is not for you. The food is heavy and sometimes greasy. I ordered the kale salad once and it was clearly not washed before preparation. There was gritty dirt in every bite. I gave them another chance and ordered it again after mentioning it was full of grit last time. I was promised it would be cleaned before preparation, but it came exactly the same, dirty and inedible. Stick with the junk food and forget healthy when eating here and you’ll be alright.

Food: vegan, gluten free options with a Latin twist… French fries are great. I’ve tried the quesadillas and Blt. Blt was my favorite with tempeh. Fresh juices and smoothies available too, also organic wines Service: the staff is really nice and helpful, but they seem to be short staffed at times Ambience: casual, relaxed. Nice outdoor patio for the summer I’ve been here several times and will definitely be back

The food is not that good and reminds me of warmed up Morningstar Farms. The best part though is the comedy show. I love me some ‘edgy’ comedy especially when the owner’s brother gets up there and says some seriously sexist and racist stuff. You know its 2015, so we can all relax about race. No need to stay clear of race based tropes or talking about women like they are just there for men. Even better, i really liked how, when confronted by it, the owner defended his brother and basically told this one woman who was not pleased that she needs to chill out. I cant wait to go there again and listen to some bro humour. Hey man, if you get so easily offended by base racial jokes, you need to relax!

Overall I really like this place. I’m not vegan but don’t eat any meats or fish so I was pumped to try this place. I had the empanada philly and it was good but nothing special. I got the portobello tacos and they were really delicious and flavorful. I’ve had better vegan food elsewhere but I’m still giving 4 stars because the service was awesome and I liked the environment. The menu is HUGE so there’s definitely something for everyone. I went by myself but found really nice conversation with another loner at the bar. I’d definitely come back and try some of the other items on their menu. Wish there was a place like this in Boston!!!

I went here during the weekend for lunch, which meant I could order off their regular or brunch menu so there were quite a lot of options. I decided to go with their Vspot burrito, which was packed with ground seitan, rice and beans, vegan cheese and sour cream, and guacamole. It was quite delicious and filling. I also split some delicious plantains that came with a coconut curry sauce. It would have been nice to get free chips and salsa, but everything was quite filling without it.

I did not like like this place-I thought I would try it just for fun and the food was very disappointing the fake chicken was hard to eat and the buffalo sauce did not make up for it. The place was kindof too hippie for me I’m not sure how to describe the feel but as a non-vegan, non-vegetarian, I felt I didn’t fit in. The peanut butter bomb cake was okay but It was also not great. I do not recommend this place.

V-Spot is outstanding! I am a vegan and this place truly makes me not miss the«real food» from chicken wings, to burritos, french fries! Ah, the possibilities are endless. Great staff, great drinks, the management is so nice, bartenders and servers are really nice too. Just a positive vibe and it’s really great to have especially when you are going out to eat. Keep up the great work!

We really loved this place. It was a nice atmosphere and the staff was nice. I got the tempeh tacos and it was really really good. We brought a meat eater and he liked the taco salad a lot. We loved this food! It felt fresh, clean and delicious.

It was my First time visiting to a place that served vegan Latin American cuisine and what an excellent choice of dish I had. Unfortunately, I forgot the name of the dish except it was the first dish listed under the entrees and boy was it absolutely delicious, very filling(best to be hungry before trying this dish out for its large portion.) The place was decent, staffs were friendly and informing, overall pleasant experience, worth going back again :)

Every time I dine here, I’m surprised by how on point the food is. Everything is so delicious and flavorful. I can’t handle much spice so it means a lot when I say V Spot has the perfect amount of it. My fave starter is the arepa con todo; you will love their thick corn patty! For dinner I recommend the quinoa wrap, which is absolutely loaded with quinoa, kale, and squash. Even the side salad is exciting with a unique herb dressing. I love getting a side of plantains as well(although I’m not crazy about the sauce it comes with). You can’t forget about dessert and you won’t go wrong with whatever you choose. The restaurant has great seating with a variety of chairs, stools, and booths spaced out nicely. The service I’ve had is always great with our water constantly being refilled without the need to ask. The prices are also extremely reasonable and even a bargain compared to similar meals at other places. If you haven’t tried V Spot, you must. This gem of a restaurant has unbelievably yummy food.

The food was better than expected, but there were enough issues, SO I won’t give this place 4 stars. Food: Spring rolls(missing mint, so lacked the flavor I am familiar with), dipping sauce was yummy. Spinach burrito was tasty(per my date). 1. The waitress was annoying, rushing us to order, but didn’t even bring enough utensils/cutlery to the table. 2. Glass of wine had CORK residue in it, yes cork. 3. Spring rolls were tasty, but not awesome. They didn’t need the sesame seeds, but presentation was nice. 4. Waitress kept coming back at the wrong time, when we needed her she disappeared, but the place is small… so… 5. Place is a little small, but it is understandable. At least you aren’t bumping into people who are seated behind you(like in some Asian/Asian Fusion restaurants). I will try it again, hopefully, the food will be just as good, with a different waitress. ANNOYED.

Good place for vegetarians and vegans! The restaurant smells super fresh because they make juices. My partner and I ordered the Philly empanada and a potato and something else empanada and an order of fries. The empanadas were delicious! The bread was perfectly executed! Flaky and also a crunch when you bite into it, but also maintaining a soft inside. The tempeh inside both kinds of empanadas were great. The fries were seasoned perfectly as well! They weren’t greasy at all and they were crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. You should definitely come in and try this place!

Pros: cute décor, atmosphere and crowd. Also, the hot sauce on the table saved our bland entrees. Cons: the food was way under spiced, waitress was terrible, sangria was obviously made with low-end wine, the double chocolate cake was too dry and the food was over priced.
