I love this place, has been my coffee place for almost a year now. The coffee is delicious, probably one of the best if not the best in Greenpoint and the staff who works in there is always friendly and really nice. I will keep coming for as long as I live in this neighborhood

Best coffee in Greenpoint. Better than I can make at home (which says a lot). It’s not bitter like most places around. The place is small, but so so so loving and sweet. The barista’s are wonderful, friendly, even early in the morning.

I am on a Lavender Latte craze lately!
After an early brunch date nearby, my companion and I decide to take a stroll in Greenpoint since we are rarely here, if at all. A chalkboard sign with «French Lavender Latte» shouted for my name. How did you guess that’s what I am craving for?
I went straight in and ordered a cup. It had a small leaf latte art and color was light brown. The aroma was floral, of course. Every sip was lavender-​floral forward then comes the espresso. A very enjoyable cup of coffee for an afternoon walk.

I pass by this place on my way to work all the time and never went untilllll a few days ago! I tried the lavender latte. ZOMGGGGG, amazeballs! It tastes so subtle and delicious, I am already thinking of getting one right now on my lunch break! The baristas are all very nice, friendly and helpful. Teeny-​tiny place, not meant to be a stay here kind of area. More like a grab and go, however this is definitely my drink of choice here for now until I discover something new here which will be my obsession for the next month! lol

I love being on vacation and just going with your gut instinct. Why go to a regular ol’ chain shop (*cough* Starbucks) when you can support your local entrepreneur? We had just hopped off the G Line at Greenpoint Ave and wanted to explore Williamsburg for the day. First stop was, of course, coffee! I’m so glad we stopped by. Awesome little shop with a quaint, industrial aesthetic. The coffee was STRONG and I am not complaining. It makes you realize all the over-​priced, watered down coffee actually sold to you is garbage LOL. Had some awesome vegan snack bars in the front that I wish i had saved the wrapper from because I am still dreaming of them for breakfast with my coffee a week later. It is a small shop with 2 seats and a counter facing out the window. Very nice for a local to stop by and chat but we didn’t want to take up the prime real estate. Awesome job guys keep up the great coffee and friendly employees :)

Quaint little coffee shop. Servers were nice and social and the coffee was not that bad. I was looking for a place to read my book after running some errands.
Honestly this is not that bad of a place to take a seat and read. The only issue is that the place is small. Only two bar stool type seats in the inside and a small bench that fits two on the outside.
It’s a good place to people watch a bit. The banks are a few steps down the block (South East-​ish from Upright) so you get to see people walking from both sides probably running errands.
I love a little sound while I am reading and this place has the perfect amount of sound probably because of its size.
I’ll definitely be coming back here whenever I run some errands to pop a squat and read or just want some brew. They even have a copy of the New York Times for people wanting to wind down.

Great spot! The staff is super friendly, especially Shawn! They know everyone of their customers that come in, and even know their drink before they order. If I lived here, this would be my regular coffee spot.

Love this place! The nicest people work here. They have lavender syrup I add to every beverage I get. I come here often. Only a few seats so not really a place to sit and do work, but I’ll often take my drink and sit on the church steps next door or go about my business.

Actually had a decent cup of Chai tea here. I don’t drink coffee but I wanted to try the lavender flavor so i asked for a bit o’that in my tea. I can’t recall it being a «strong» flavor, but it was interesting.
These days I am really starting to like the «non starbucks» made Chai tea.
Sadly this place is not close to home or a place where I pass in any type of frequency.
Store itself is small. Since I was early for work, I thought it was a real café where I can sit. But no.

LOVE Upright. I go every morning on my way to work, as it’s conveniently located near the Greenpoint subway stop. It’s definitely not the kind of coffee shop where you sit and stay awhile, as it’s SUPER small, but the quality is great, and the baristas are so friendly! Always a great start to the morning! The prices are also more than decent, given the surrounding comparables, and I love the homemade flavored syrups. I just wish they had a medium size in their iced coffees and lattes, but that’s just me nit-​picking.

Do you need to wake up? The place to do that is Upright Coffee. Delicious, Tasty, Warm, Flavorful Coffee. The staff is always very nice and friendly. The place opens at 7AM if I’m not mistaken, they also have a stamp card which is great and even if you forget your card they can combine them for you! I love getting that free couple of coffee. Makes my morning that much better!
They have an amazing lavender latte– it is pure heaven! I get it with an extra shot of espresso since I’m a caffeine fanatic! It’s a must try. They also have these great bars by the register. I think it’s made by Rabbit something and I love the Fig one! They also have amazing pastries. The croissant is delicious.
I must try if you’re in the area!

I live right next to Budin and come to Upright every morning for my coffee. Friendly baristas, good coffee, and a loyalty stamp card. Boyfriend gets an ice cortado, I get a soy latte. Best coffee in the neighborhood!
