Food is good. We had lollipop chicken wings, truffle mac n cheese, and a few entees. The garlic bread sandwich was tasty. It was one of the best turkey burgers I’ve ever had. Overall a good experience.

I’m giving 3 stars because of the service, bacon and the fries were good. Everything else was bland. We started with spicy fried calamari, it was good but not great. At least it was spicy. It came with a sauce which kind of tasted like thousands island + tartar sauce? I’m not sure, it wasn’t listed on the menu. The star of the night was the bacon. It was the best thing we ordered. It was maple glazed with a touch of cinnamon. We saw reviews for the pulled pork sandwich and thought it’ll be good. The sandwich came with a side of truffle shoe string fries. The pulled pork sandwich had a pear cole slaw on top. It had a weird texture and didn’t taste smokey or anything special. The pork had no «pork» taste but instead more like fishy tuna? We don’t know. The pear coleslaw was okay but maybe it shouldn’t have been on top of the sandwich. The spicy chicken pasta was«spicy» but bland at the same time. There was only a little bit of chicken and mixed vegetables. The sauce was watery and there was a lot of sauce at the bottom of my dish. We had a steak with cheese sandwich and salad too. The steak had no flavor, don’t order this. The salad looked messy and it was only ice berg lettuce and two little pieces of tomatoes. Don’t think we’ll be back for dinner. Hopefully brunch is better?

Wednesday night. 7 bucks for nice sized pulled pork sandwich, with truffle fries that were mixed shoestring cut of regular and sweet potato. Plus a bottle of Amstel light. All for 7 bucks. One of the best deals I’ve scored in while. Great value. Tasty food.

Definitely a great place for dinner. I went here the other day and overall had a great experience. The atmosphere of the place was really nice. It had a pub feel, but a more upscale feel as well. They nailed the gastropub theme. The waitress was very attentive and nice, more than happy to answer any questions about the menu and drink selection I got the Cajun calamari as an appetizer and it was amazing. Gone in 10 minutes tops. For $ 9, there was a healing plate of hot calamari. Why did I take off one star? Well, the menu was a plain piece of white computer paper in a plastic covering… and there weren’t any dividers for categories on the menu. It was just a long list of options with no space in between. I had a hard time reading through it. Also, I ordered the spicy chicken pasta. It was very good and the veggies were fresh, but it wasn’t spicy at all. I look forward to coming back here on a weekday because they seem to have really great specials.

I would have liked to rate this higher. The good: the staff were extraordinarily accommodating and friendly. My husband has food allergies and although the manager and waitress spoke with us personally and even brought out the box of gluten-free pasta, the cook mistakenly used soy sauce, which contains gluten. His dinner was remade and we were comped 1 beer. The fries were good– shoe string style mixed white and sweet potato. The bad: the iced tea had a strange taste and the food was salty. Most importantly, there was blood on the lid of the toilet seat. I can look past a lot, but that was too much for me.

Try the buffalo lollipop. There are good meaty and good portion. Pretty good service. Good fish tacos and fish and chips. Not bad prices. Plain simple place as I was typing this I raised it from 4 to 5 stars.

The place has a really chill vibe. Great selection on beers. Love the wooden interior, though I’d say get a little bigger TVs. I got the bison burger cooked medium rare, was amazing! The staff is very friendly.

Awesome stock of craft beers, you’ve got to try the bacon! Succulent pull pork sandwiches and a dynamite burger — you can’t go wrong here. Tried about half of the menu so far and have yet to be disappointed. Can’t wait to try the rest. FYI — Great place to come with family, catch up with some friends or bring a date!

My new favorite spot in Bay Ridge. There are so many great items on the menu to try and many are small portions. The smoked bacon with maple reduction is a must try along the the truffle mixed frites. Top it off with a kale salad so you don’t have to feel guilty; the dressing is original and excellent. Tie dye has a respectable beer selection also.

Get in on the ground floor Bay Ridge. Came here because we were looking to try something new in Bay Ridge. The Tie Dye Pig did bit disappoint. They have a nice selection of beer on tap and bottled. Any place with Abita Light wins points in my book. Sat at the bar and ate some appetizers. Greg our bartender was awesome and friendly and attentive. Bacon maple appetizer: awesome. If you don’t like bacon or maple syrup(as the girl during next to me at the bar inexplicably did) well then no, you won’t like it, but for the rest of us, yes you will like it. Taquitos: delicious(wish they came with more than one lime, but i digress). Fingers and fries: I can see what weezy is talking about with the truffle butter. Truffle oil makes fries better. The mix of sweet potato fries in there was also a nice touch. Kale salad: could have more stuff in it, but the dressing was very tasty. Moz sticks: can’t go wrong here, these are always a crowd pleaser.(Fried cheese) Seeing as my apartment is a mishmosh of all sorts of furniture, I could care less about the décor, but yes i do see what people are saying about it still looking like Circles. The entrance is on 91st, so just walk up a bit and enjoy!

We really enjoyed eating at the tie-dye pig! It’s still owned by circles which is a good thing and the quality of the food was really excellent. The bacon appetizer with maple syrup and cinnamon was crazy delicious. Something that you would get in Montréal. Then I ordered the juicy Lucy hamburger and I was blown away it was the best hamburger that I’ve had in a very long time. Absolutely delicious and it came with truffle fries that were a mixture of regular potato fries and sweet potato fries. My has been ordered the short rib sandwich which was okay but it needed more short rib meat. The service was also extremely gracious! We will definitely return to eat here!

I was really excited when I first heard this place had opened. I had meant to go to Circle Grill for a while, so when I saw it was being renovated into Tie Dye Pig, I felt like I finally had to stop by. This place is so delicious and it’s so cool to see a proper gastropub in Bay Ridge. I had the pulled pork sandwich with pear mint slaw, and it was so ridiculously good and inventive. The fries — a mix of sweet potato and white potato with truffle oil, — were also fantastic. The service was really attentive and the staff was really kind and friendly, as well. This place still doesn’t have too many customers yet, and the aesthetic of the restaurant still looks halfway between the old restaurant, which I think was more Mediterranean, and a proper gastropub, but I think given a few months, a little more decoration, and more customers, this place will be really popular in the neighborhood.

As I came here on a Saturday night I can’t speak to the food offerings but only the service and vibe. This place doesn’t get crazy busy, and I kind of like it that way. As with most bay ridge bars, it’s a lot of locals. Very solid beer selection, which was a surprise for me in this area. The bartenders were attentive and friendly as well. I’d definitely go back again if suggested by my friends, but wouldn’t necessarily go out of my way for it.

This place is alright. The menu is interesting and the food can be tasty, but I always feel a little disappointed coming here. I came in for brunch this morning. Not bad. Everyone’s food was tasty. I got the challah french toast, which was delicious, but for $ 14 I got just two pieces and two measly strips of bacon. I almost ordered an extra side of bacon, but instead just left unsatisfied. You would think that a place called the Tie Dye Pig wouldn’t have this problem. Also, I understand that it might be hard for a new place to attract customers, but everytime I’m here I feel alone. There is nobody there. The wait staff are usually all in the back too so not only are there no customers, but no employees either. Not even bartenders behind the bar. It’s very annoying when you are the only one in a restaurant and you can’t even get service because the waiter is nowhere to be found. They have TVs in the bar, but the few times I’ve been in here they were either off or just on some random channel that has been left on hours after a game ended. At one point, I thought about asking the waiter to change the station, but he was no where to be found and I forgot all about it after we finally saw him again. The final straw for me was when my waiter handed me my cup of coffee instead of putting it on the table. He did the same thing with my water and food. How about putting it directly on the table instead? There is no need to risk dropping it by putting it in my hands first. A new place in the neighborhood. I gave it a shot, but I doubt I’m ever coming back. Sorry.

From the looks of it, I am thinking that the restaurant formerly known as Circles Grill has been the Tie Dye Pig for a few weeks and the name is not the only change as the inside has been given a more pub setting kind of atmosphere that I really liked. Wooden tables and island sort of spaces to sit and eat or sip a cold drink. This evening I joined a long time family friend for a holiday dinner and was curious as to what I would find. I am going to admit of being guilty of not trying their new Gastropub fare because I was ravenous this evening and wanted something filling. With that I selected the Poulet Auberginne which is chicken breast topped with eggplant, mozzarella and prosciutto over brown rice with a heavy brandy cream sauce. This was super tasty but I will admit to it being on the heavy side. If you ordered this after an appetizer of some kind you would be taking half of it home since it had some oomph to it. Luckily I did not choose an appetizer and I say«lucky» with a sad face because I learned that one of their biggest sellers is a bacon appetizer. I love bacon. I kept my drinking choice to an Original Sin hard cider which I think I prefer less than Angry Orchard. My dining companion had white wine but I didn’t make note of what kind. For dessert I went with a chocolate mousse cake and my friend a red velvet cake option. As I had been bantering with the waiter during the course of the night I teased dissatisfaction about the mousse cake being smaller than the velvet one. I was indeed fine with it after the rather heavy chicken plate. The staff was friendly and the service quick but it was not super packed at the time so perhaps that worked in their favor. Everything arrived in short order and was hot and ready to be dug into. They mentioned the menu was going to change as they tried different things and I hope they move more of the legacy stuff off the menu for some true gastropub style offerings. I should mention that the new menu is a single side of a single page while the old one was several pages in length. Good luck to Bay Ridge’s first Gastropub.

This place was great, I highly recommend it! My friends and I ate at the Tie Dye Pig tonight, we were hungry and wanted to try something different. The service was great, the waitress was very friendly. I enjoyed the décor, it was rustic with nice lighting. The menu is 1 page which is a nice change of pace because you’re not overwhelmed by choices. Make sure you order the bacon appetizer, it was amazing! We ended up getting another order. It is a honey glazed bacon with a maple syrup sauce. As an entrée, I ordered a chicken dish with a creamy white sauce over rice. My friends ordered the salmon and pulled pork. No complaints, everything was awesome!

Previously known as circles . A one page menu instead of an encyclopedia !? That’s a plus. They are currently trying out their new menu which is pretty diverse in flavors. I ordered the Cod fish n chips with sweet potato fries. Great choice, not greesy at all. Also tried the Cajun calamari. My friend thought it was really spicy but it tasted fine to me. Service is nice. Décor a little empty but since it is new they are probably still adding. Glad they kept the lights around the windows . I’m intrigued by the new management and will come back to try some other entrees.
