My boyfriend and I adopted our Australian Labradoodle, Zaria, about a month ago and when she came home at 9 weeks old, she absolutely gave us a run for our money. We were so completely overwhelmed. When I contacted James inquiring about his behavior modification sessions, I knew about 30 seconds into our phone conversation that he was brilliant. He was at our apartment that same night for a session! He has such a deep understanding with dogs. We left the session with such a greater level of puppy knowledge and it has truly made a difference in Zaria. He taught us how to correct her behavior and also how to correct our own behavior, so that it comes across appropriately to Zaria. We now have our walker, Rasheeda, from The Peaceful Pack who pops by to see Zaria mid-​day to let her out and feed her lunch. We have all benefited from the Peaceful Pack tremendously — Highly recommend!!!

Love these guys! Staff is friendly and helpful, and they are wonderful with dogs. I learn from watching them interact with our dog – they care about him, but they also want to make sure he behaves well. Highly recommend the Peaceful Pack to anyone in the neighborhood. They know what they’re doing and I trust them implicitly.

My fiancé and I just adopted a 9 week old goldendoodle and felt like we were completely in over our heads. Luckily, James Aquino came to our rescue! He came to our home and addressed all of our questions and really broke down the psychology behind a happy dog. He was absolutely incredible with our little pup and taught us so much about being a parent for a dog. He defiantly knows what he’s doing and we HIGHLY recommend the peaceful pack!

I have been a client of The Peaceful Pack since 2011 and I LOVE them! My dog, Dexter, tends to go crazy when anyone comes into the house that he doesn’t know. Mark and James and their staff are able to walk right in with no problems! They truly know what they are doing and are SUPER accommodating. if I am in a bind and need a nighttime walk, I know I can count on them to make it happen. I don’t think there is another service out there like it!
We also had James do a behavior modification session with Dexter which really changed a lot of issues we were having in our home. James has a keen sense of assessing a situation and figuring out what will work for the dog and owners.
Even better, we have boarded Dexter with James many times and he always comes home happy and peaceful. The name of the company is spot on!

We recently moved to Cobble Hill and were looking for someone to watch our shih-​tzu Charlie when we’re out of town. Someone in our building recommended The Peacefuk Pack and we couldn’t be happier with their services. The owner came over to personally meet Charlie. James is great and gave us some really good tips right away. We now use them all the time! Charlie stays with them overnight and fits right in there. Garret (who also works there) is always very accommodating to our needs (even when they’re last minute). He’s so nice, as is the rest of the staff. They truly love animals :)

I have had my rescue dog for a few years and this was the first time I used a boarding service for her so I could go on vacation.
James has a great reputation in my apartment building. My dog Purdy stayed with him for 2 weeks and when I returned I could see she had a good time staying with him. She looked happy and healthy. James knew it was my first boarding experience and allayed any nervousness I had. He responded to my test messages while I was away with sweet photos of Purdy with the other dogs.
I cannot say enough what a good experience this was for me and for Purdy. So glad that I found the Peaceful Pack and would highly recommend them for walking and boarding services.

Miracle Workers.
My rescue dog is sweet but difficult and for years wouldn’t let any walkers in the house when I wasn’t home. He would turn into a snarling, snapping lunatic and the result was, he just wasn’t able to get walked when I wasn’t home unless a friend whom he was VERY VERY used to was able to come by.
I was at my wit’s end and knew my dog was suffering long days alone til we moved to Carroll Gardens and met James, who honestly changed my dog’s life for the better. He’s going out on daily walks and even small behavioral problems that never bothered me too much are improving. These guys are amazing and give me peace of mind for the first time in years.

I’ve used Peaceful Pack for the past couple of years and am really pleased with their service. When I first signed up with them, both the owners (Mark and James) visited me at home to meet my dog (and me). My dog is a strange combination of super shy and skittish, yet will be aggressive (growling and snapping) at people he doesn’t know. James gave me some great advice on how to work with my dog to correct this behavior. They are also available at the ‘last minute,’ are flexible and very professional. I boarded my dog with them (in a home) and when they returned him to me (yes they do pick up and return!!), my dog seemed fine, in ‘mint’ condition. :-) I highly recommend Peaceful Pack and will continue to entrust my dog to their care for the foreseeable future.

I’m sad. My schnauzer «Boston» and I are heading back west to Portland. I’m happy for that. Sad that I’ll need to source another group of dog lovers who hopefully, but most likely will not take care of B as well as Mark and the team at Peaceful Pack!
I’ve been in NYC for about 3.5 years with Boston the Schnauzer and Mark and the team have been walkers, trainers, slumber party hosts, and in general, as much of a parent to the beast as I have. They make the amount of travel I do for work tolerable and possible. I owe them greatly.
They are a model of a well run business. One that deals with our emotions as parents/​owners which has to be a challenge though it never seemed that way. I’m the master of last minute trips and never once did I have to worry about the care of Boston.
We’ll miss entire team that helped care for Boston! Five Stars. If I could give more I would.

We used Peaceful Pack for our rescue dog Buster for over a year. We highly recommend them — and have, in fact, recommended them to numerous friends and other dog owners in the neighborhood.
In contrast to other places that we also met with, both of the actual co-​owners of Peaceful Pack, Mark and James, came to our house. Their professionalism and knowledge showed, and we felt extremely confident leaving Buster in their team’s hands. They arranged for us to meet a few days later with the actual walker — in our case, Sirina. I think James trains all of the walkers; he has a background in various animal related fields and is truly a dog whisperer. Buster — really, we – had several training sessions with James to address some minor issues (mostly leash pulling), and while we probably were never consistent enough to achieve the amazing results that James does, the training and tips were still extremely helpful. Over the past year and a half there were also numerous times when both James and Mark were extremely generous with their time after I asked for advice on something with Buster — whether a behavioral issue, advice on a vet issue, etc.
One of the advantages of using a place like Peaceful Pack, in addition to their impressive knowledge, is the more practical consideration that there are walkers who can step in if you need a walk at an odd hour, on the weekend, or in the rare times your walker is sick. Of course Buster was almost always with Sirina, but it was important to us to have an entire team of walkers to accommodate our busy and sometimes inflexible schedules. Mark handles all the coordination of your scheduling, and it’s nice to have just one point person to contact. They were always able to handle last minute requests and even were able to accommodate some odd requests, including picking up Buster from our wedding after his ring bearer duties were over and taking Buster away for the day while movers came to our apartment. A couple times, Buster failed to go potty on his walks, and Mark actually sent someone back to give him a second try later on in the day — this was really impressive and shows they are paying attention to the dogs and actually care about them. Buster also stayed with James during several vacations and many weekends away.
The biggest endorsement of all, however, is probably from Buster himself. While I took some time off of work, we ran into his walker Sirina numerous times. Buster was always SO happy to see her and reacted to her just like he would when my husband or I come home from work. We are sad to be moving as I am sure that Buster loved being a part of this pack!

I have been using ‘The Peaceful Pack’ for almost 18 mths now, and could not be happier. I have found them to be nothing but professional from the start. Mark came to meet me, and my Cairn Terrier, Lulu at my home, and later came again to introduce me to her dog walker, Jamison. Mark took time to answer all my questions and concerns, and was extremely knowledgeable about dog behavior, and how to address the minor issues that Lulu had. They have always been accommodating when I have sent last minute texts letting them know I didn’t need walking services the next day, for example, and I have always felt they are just a phone call away if I wanted to see if Jamison had noticed any changes in Lulu’s behavior etc. All this being said, the best commendation came from Lulu herself. When I had a week off work, and was walking her in the neighborhood, she spotted Jamison almost a block away, and her tail started wagging at warp speed, and she started pulling me towards him like her life depended on it!!!
