I really miss The One Well and now the store is Mind Over Matter which I haven’t been to yet but it seems just as cute and fun to explore

This place is SO lovingly curated. And on top of that, local, sustainable, and definitely filled with a mystical, magical energy.
I am a repeat customer for the Meow Meow Tweet soaps sold here– «Tea Tree Eucalyptus» has completely changed my skin– is all organic, smells amazing, leaves me with a glow, and uses detoxifying charcoal to give my skin some extra amazing love. It’s also an insanely good price (8 bucks) considering the benefits and impact!
There’s also some amazing skincare products for men– beard oil and facial serum, and a lot of other skincare delights. There’s different scents, but they’re all named off of a Brooklyn neighborhood :)
Other than that– the shop smells like heaven because of the AMAZING candles– just smelled a Nutmeg one and there’s also a Ginger Tobacco candle!
Impeccable taste, beautiful jewelry, and as an artist, it’s a place I walk in to that inspires me and motivates me to keep doing my thing and to keep supporting the other local artists around me.
Love love love. Can’t say enough. This place is going to be hopping during the Holiday gift shopping seasons!

The products range from eclectic to unique and everything in between. Great scarves, amazing candles, chocolate (yum), jangly keychains that look like parakeet toys and seriously great chapstick that they make themselves.
As someone who occasionally dabbles in homemade chapstick I can tell you, quality and consistency are difficult to attain. Unreliable ingredients, varying temperature or humidity, even a slight draft or trapped insects can ruin a batch in a wink. In order to create this type of high quality lip balm these guys must be geniuses.
Their lip balm is not slick or sticky in any way. It applies smooth and evenly. There is a slight, gentle citrusy smell which is really enjoyable and although it smells amazing when you are wearing it, you will not get comments about the odor from people standing near you. Also, works great as a nighttime application (not all chapsticks do) which is perfect for those of us with snoring/​sleep apnea issues who often wake up to dry, cracked lips.

Came across this gem one day and you couldn’t drag me out. I loved everything I set my eyes on and basically wanted buy everything in sight. I ended up buying several things but i must put the spot light on a fabulous Soy Candle by Apotheke (smells sooo good!) and some really delicious locally made hot sauce. Being a big hot sauce fan, this was a an exciting surprise in such a chic shop. The owner of the shop was kind enough to pull out some tasty crackers and let me try it. Very personable sales associate, I genuinely felt taken care of and appreciated for just being there. Will definitely go back for some more goods.

Go buy something this shop is most excellent.

Fantastic Shop. I am now in love with many things from this store. They carry THE best chapstick I have EVER owned, and I’d definitely label myself a lip balm connoisseur. Also, I realize that it is very expensive, but go find the raw chocolate bar. It’s 8 bucks, I know… but I haven’t stopped thinking about it since i ate it. It melts in your mouth and it’s vegan. Who knew? I saw the review down there that talks about the prices, and while some of the items are on the expensive side, there are things at all price ranges AND you’re truly supporting local economy– both The One Well as a local business, and everything that they’re selling. I’m way happier to give this shop my money than to shell out two dollars to a chain.

Really eclectic mix of hand-​made, salvaged, and vintage. everything is super chic and reasonably priced. I got some powdered detergent that worked great! the shop also regularly bring in new stock so there’s always something new and interesting to check out.

You are bound to fall in love. No doubt. This place has such unique and well thought through gifts items. I bought a bundle of xmas gifts here for my family and friends (ended up keeping for myself a notepad, amazing soap, and 2 chocolate bars– oops) which they adored and then even more so finding out the eco friendly nature of the shop and all the goods! Next time I’m in NYC I will absolutely check back in with the one well to see what’s new wonderful:)

The curation here will leave you wanting one of each, please. For a serious product junky it’s a refreshingly dizzying array of truly pure products made with unique scents and integral ingredients. Each object, found and new, is equally as precious. Think of it as your one and only go to spot for any and all gifts for anyone you know, including selfish treats. Well worth the trip whether you’re in the hood or not. It’s great to have a place that will be so consistently reliable.

This shop is all about local, organic, and features tons of new york artists. I got some amazing laundry detergent that’s completely toxic free and smells better than anything I’ve ever used. The owner was really informative and you can tell she’s really passionate about supporting local and keeping things pure and organic in life and in style. I also have to say this is a jackpot for gifts. I think there is seriously something for everyone and you can’t go wrong with handcrafted one-​of-​a-​kind candles, jewelery, scarves, etc. Greenpoint, you’ve got yourself a good shop and when I’m in the hood, I’ll be sure to pop in.
