Great chill space in downtown BK, with comfortable retro chairs. Dez is my barber here, and she always gives me the freshest cuts!

This place feels like the most classic downtown Brooklyn barber shop I could think of. In a building lobby, owned by a man who looks like he’s been around as long as Brooklyn.
Easily the BEST part of this place is that Dez now does cuts there. And if you’re unfamiliar, she’s one of the raddest queer/​person-​of-​color barbers on the planet.
So if you’re into old school Brooklyn with new school levels of acceptance, I highly recommend going here. And for $ 20/​cut, who could beat it?

They listen, do a great job, and they aren’t in a rush like some other barbers in New York.

Great, no-​frills barbershop conveniently located on Court St. Frank has been in this location for 50 years, and my first time in gave me a great haircut with little to no explanation needed. Reasonably priced at $ 14.50 with no extra charge for stories about everything from getting a Trans Am from Elvis (!) to cutting hair for NY’s famous (and infamous). Highly recommended.
