If you would have asked me 2 weeks ago, I would have given this place at least 4 stars. Now I’m barely giving it 1. It seems to be under new management. Now it’s less food, which is less seasoned for more money. Seriously, I didn’t even want to finish my food it was that bland. But I’d paid $ 11 and was already ticked enough about that. If anybody from the actual restaurant reads this, I understand you want to increase profit. But you’ll be closed in no time if you keep this up.

4.5 Stars! We were just in the area walking around after visiting the Brooklyn Botanical Garden on a Saturday. We were hungry & thinking about getting some Mexican food. This is one of the few places that we visited randomly without checking Unilocal reviews first. We were pretty hungry, thinking about going to Queens for some good Mexican food but as we were walking back to out car, we saw this place & said, hey, let’s just check this Tex-Mex place out. We were too hungry to be driving back to Queens to get something to eat. The place looks pretty clean & the staff were pretty polite. We got the burrito with chorizo, quesadilla with chorizo, the tacos(steak, chorizo, & chicken), & an order of fries. The portion is definitely generous! The burrito were huge! If you have a small appetite, you can definitely be full from eating just half of the burrito. We were surprised with all of the bad reviews here because we thought the food were pretty good. They also gave us extra everything that we asked for. The fries is probably not something we would recommend. It was pretty bland. Great value! The meal comes with a free lemonade. Good food! Generous portion! All total, we spent about $ 26. There was a lot of food for the price we paid. We were definitely satisfied with our meal there. We would definitely recommend this place. It’s definitely worth stopping by.

Disgusting freezing sloppy food, I think they just pull out pre made food from the fridge and serve it. The meat was colder than the guacamole. The customer service was horrendous, never again.

DONTORDERFROM THiS PLACE! Like others have said, the food arrives practically frozen, including meat that is hard with congealed fat! Disgusting. Called and complained and was told we could have a $ 25 credit. So we ordered something else since we were hungry and needed dinner. An hour later they called and said it should be a 25% discount, not $ 25. The person on the phone was nasty and rude, lying and saying they were the manager. I’ve never had such a horrible experience with a restaurant. $ 30 cash down the drain. One star because you can’t post zero stars.

Tried this place today for the first time and it was delicious! Everything was super fresh and it was honestly some of the best nachos, burritos and tacos I’ve had in a long time. My niece really loves Mexican food and she also said it was really good. Definitely give it a try yourself and I think you will be very satisfied. I’ll definitely be back!

Despite the bad reviews I’ve read, I actually thought the food wasn’t bad at all. Everything I asked for I got, extra cilantro, extra mole sauce, extra avocado. Even though they had a sign for free lemonade with every meal, I had to ask for it. If you like Tex Mex and you’re in the area, check it out. Not everything will be 5 star, but it’s worth the try.

Walked in and looked at the chicken that they had displayed, which looked like it had been sitting in the container all week ! Immediately walked right out

Quesadillas with no cheese how does that work get one and find out. Just a sprinkling of cheese a bunch of salsa and some okay chicken made for a disappointing first time last time at this spot.

I should probably blame myself for: 1. Not checking Unilocal before visiting a new place I knew jacky diddly about 2. Ordering a shrimp salad from a Tex-Mex place 3. Paying $ 13 for a shrimp salad from a Tex-Mex place So yeah Texano, it didn’t work out because really, it’s me, not you.

Let me start by saying I created a Unilocal account for the sole purpose of reviewing this place. I have never been compelled by any experience(good or bad), to write a review, until now. I ordered a seafood sampler and received chicken tenders, chicken wings and mozzarella sticks. I called to explain and was told«yeah, that’s in the seafood sampler, you got what you ordered». I asked why there was no seafood in a SEAFOOD sampler and she asked«well what did you expect». I don’t know, maybe I’m going out on a limb here, but maybe… SEAFOOD. I have had some questionable experience but this is by far the worst customer service I have received in my life. I am a chronic non-complainer. But BEWARE. seriously don’t waste your money. Was told I paid already(grubhub), so there was nothing she could do. The items received that were correct, were horrible. Tacos sitting in a pool of grease. Such other awesome places in the area but wanted to try something new. Order from them(el acquario, el ranchito poblano are awesome).

This place is great for the price and the quality has gone up since they opened. The guacamole is definitely good… maybe the best I’ve around the area. I’ve had the burrito bowl and different tacos and all have been tasty.

Ordered the vegetarian burrito, not because I’m a vegetarian, but because it came with guacamole. Unfortunately my burrito was totally lacking any guacamole and was sad, dry, and mostly rice. At least it arrived early.

The Bad News, my food took 1 hour and 20 minutes. I opened my food it was so cold it seemed almost frozen. It most likely due to the fact that my enchiladas and soup being out in the cold for over an hour or the food could have be sitting at the restaurant for God knows how long until delivered it. The Good News, I carried on and a demanded a refund and it was granted. This place is not ready for business

eh. my brother raved about it so we tried it. they specifically ask what salsa you want then don’t put it on your tacos. why oh why do you hate the salsa, texano? nachos and tacos. no salsa. when we ordered salsa. were they out? I dunno. but just tell a girl if she’s not getting salsa and expects it. blah. bland. never again. Taco Bell is better. and it really hurt to just say that.

It was so gross. The reviews about the«chicken» are correct– if that’s really what it is. Please under no circumstances should you order carnitas either– omg ewwwww-it’s like they only used the fat and threw the meat away. I wanted to like this place so bad bc it seemed like a more authentic version of chipotle… but eeewww.

Ummmmm first of all, they gave me the wrong order. I called back to politely tell them and they basically told me to go screw myself. I paid $ 15 for a burrito bowl&delivery that had all the wrong ingredients in it. So… being that I was starving At 10 pm(it took 2 hours to arrive when the place is 10 minutes away from me), I ate some anyway. It came cold. The rice was hard and gross. The guac was tasteless. The chicken(I’m going to guess it was chicken) was chewy and hard to swallow. So sad :-/really thought this was going to be my new ‘go-to’ place.

After immediately tasting something afoul in my burrito and examining it further, my suspicions of chicken that had turned or had not been properly handled and kept at a consistent, regulated temperature fit for consumption were confirmed by taste, smell, and the onset symptoms of food poisoning, I called to inform the restaurant. Never having ordered from this establishment, I was struck by the brevity and casual response. I called back and inquired as to how I may be reimbursed for the chicken burrito and was informed that I had to «understand» where they were coming from since this was their first complaint all day. I asked if she was really implying that my claim was illegitimate. To which she replied yes. Nevermind the subpar quality of the ingredients, the expense for what appeared to be, at face value, a Mexican salad bar, the customer service, attitude, and response on a restaurant’s behalf to something as serious as food poisoning is beyond my understanding. Seamless should post the NYC Health Dept grades. All I wanted was a burrito that didn’t taste as though the chicken was left on a counter all day before cooking it only to end up in my trash can wrapped in a plastic bag so I cannot smell the rank, raw, sewage like smell emanating from an overpriced product. I should have called Taco Bell.

This new spot where the beloved Christie’s Jamaican Patties used to reside is worth stopping by. The fresh ingredients are on display and the women in the kitchen really seem to care about the customers getting fresh product. I have enjoyed the pork quesadilla and chips and guacamole so far.

where do I start??? First of all the food was yummy. Had the steak nachos with an assortment of tacos. The food was good it was fresh. Guacamole was awesome and the portion was fat guy friendly! The staff was cute and friendly. Now let me be a little picky… The nacho chips were cut so tiny you could not use them as a scoop. So i had to use my fork… I have no idea where they bought these forks from. so so tiny. I put it up against my thumb nail it was the same size. No Beer at this time and I dont know if they will be severing beer. Will I go back… YES

Don’t fret about another take out place… this restaurant is legit, Mexican with a Tex-Mex banner on the front. You can basically design your own tacos, tostadas, burritos and enchiladas or full on plate. White rice with cilantro and lime is grandma’s recipe. The beans need a bit of salt, but that’s because the folks are health conscious. Their steam table up front shows off great food, cooked in small quantities to preserve freshness. In the back is a full kitchen with grill to make the tastiest fajitas both beef and chicken. The guacamole is the best. BUTWAIT. There’s more! DONOTMISS the Mole Poblano served atop three corn tortillas filled with chicken. The Poblano sauce is hand made and crazy good, like I remember it from summers in Puebla. This is what Park Slope was missing. Say hi to owners, sister Katy and Edy. They will be your hosts.
