Ordered on Seamless. I usually sit in, and honestly I’m getting disappointed on how every time I order, the quality of the food keeps getting worse. They’ve stopped caring about how good the food is, and now I’m done ordering from them. I ordered a yomato roll like I always do, and the roll was bitter. Taste like it’s coming from the old lemon they put in the roll. Hopefully I don’t get sick. The avocado definitely wasn’t ready, it’s like biting into rubber. I would rather they just called me and informed me that they are out of avocado, or lemon rather then sending it out. Sushi Tokyo you really need to step up your quality control. For now, I’m done ordering. I’m getting sick of throwing my food out scared it’s going to get me sick every time I order. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me.

I’ve been here approximately 30 times. Their food is amazing. Their customer service? Horrendous. If I wanted to pay $ 30 for one person’s meal and be ignored for 30 minutes, Id come back here. I do come back. I find that this establishment has the best and freshest kosher sushi. The last time I was here, my mother and I receded and did not get attended two until 25 minutes after we sat down. This meant that we did not get our menus until 25 minutes after we sat down. A restaurant like that does not deserve my patronage. Hopefully they can fix this problem.

Best Kosher sushi in Brooklyn. Order takeout twice a week. Spicy Tuna Crunch, Yellowtail jalapeño and Alaskan Salmon Roll. Just perfect and always hits the spot. Every now and then I’ll dine in, but when I do, I drink dos equis. Stay hungry my friends.

Love this place, amazing sushi hands down. But the constant changing of workers is annoying because they aren’t really on their game when it comes to ordering, refills. You always have to get their attention. I suggest calling food in and going to pick it up since there is always a 45+ minute delivery time. Besides for that the food is amazing and it’s a nice place.

I ordered a seafood Udon tonight for more than $ 15 including tax, before tax it’s $ 13.95, not cheap for a udon in Brooklyn, even I dont have this expensive udon in the city. So I have high expectation for the food. However, it comes with just two shrimp and two scallop, a little bit crabmeat which is almost little. This is ALL the seafood in this udon. Unbelievable and I will never come back here again. The taste and broth is no better than regular $ 7 udon with vegetables. Im writing this review for not only complaint but also letting other customers know it. Save your money and you desever get better food rather than here…

how it went: it was eh. the delivery guy made it here before 2am, so that was good.(only took about 25 minutes, which is fast). the portions are small. i won’t say tiny, but definitely small. like the 2 «chef special» rolls — normally, those are huge. these two were seriously like 2 california roll — sized — rolls — just 2 regular sized rolls with a few pieces of SUUUUPERTHINLYSLICED fish on top:(i wasn’t too happy or impressed. the california roll was the same size as the other rolls. the tuna tartare appetizer was. «ok» — it had this rice ball /cake that was coated in tempura and deep fried on 3 large deep fried tortilla chips, and then this like mushy,(i assume tuna?) sort of tempura mix on top — all of it was tasty, but definitely not what i thought it would be.(and mostly carbs with no fish.:(and the portions are still small.) they gave me TONS of sauces(which i didn’t even want /ask for /use) NONAPKINS(a huge pain when restaurants don’t include that in delivery) and i just think they could’ve made me so much happier with a small side salad instead of wasting all these sauces(the sauces were probably more than a little lettuce(that would’ve made me happy)(well, happier). would’ve been). the ginger carrot dressing was ok. there’s no underlying creaminess to it — it’s just processed ginger and carrot mush — no flavor. the ginger is the regular pink stuff(red dye number seven, anyone?) and they don’t serve fish eggs cuz those aren’t kosher(but food dye is?) i don’t understand kosher /non-kosher, so i’ll totally shut up — i just wanted to mention that(i wanted flying fish roe and salmon roe, and they don’t serve that because it’s not kosher). all in all i would’ve been much better off ordering sushi from another place, i am very sad to say, because the price i paid(over $ 30 with tip) was NOT commensurate with the amount of sushi i received:(but it’s open super late, and it delivers super late, so i guess sushi tokyo has found it’s niche.

Love sushi Tokyo! I order sushi from the kings highway location frequently and the sushi is always fresh. the service is great 99% of the time. And my order is always ready within 30 minutes or less, which I love! Especially when I’m hungry

This place is horrible. You have to ask for service. The free edamame appetizer«they don’t do that anymore…» It was a mess, bathroom was gross… people from the street run in to use the bathroom. Terrible. Sushi is not fresh-don’t kid yourself. Had a stomach ache after. It is «run» by a bunch of kids who have no idea what they are doing. We are from the neighborhood, but moved. Had no idea it was kosher. My fiancé asked about sake and the waitress gave him a ridiculous look. Ordered our food and appetizers came our after our mains. No room on the table. One appetizer never came. Waitress had attitude when we asked for utensils. Anything we needed we had to flag her down. Felt like they were treating Jewish patrons better than us… It was the worst experience I have had at a restaurant. Don’t go!

I really have no idea why this restaurant has so many stars. My only conclusion is that people who don’t know sushi only know this kind. Spicy tuna that’s beige? A king crab roll that isn’t even soft shell crab but kani which is a completely different roll? Nothing was fresh everything was disgusting. Couldn’t eat it. The only reason this showed up in front of me was because a well intentioned friend wanted to surprise me with my favorite food. For fresh sushi that is made by professionals check out Sake Japanese Cuisine. EDIT: Just saw they are kosher. It all makes sense now about no soft shell crab I apologize for that! My bad. Still doesn’t explain the tuna though.

Tonight I was in the mood for good kosher sushi, and I decided to go to sushi Tokyo… This place is usually my go to sushi place for take out or delivery but tonight I decided to sit in with a friend. We each ordered two rolls and we got an edamame… The rice wasn’t as soft as usual– more hard but it was fine… The rolls were good… Until I found a hair on top of my roll– told the waiter that there was a hair and I pointed it out to him and he said«there’s no hair, what» I clearly pointed out the hair so at that point I was very upset. I said«the hair is right there. Take it away» and he walked away with an angry face… Overall bad experience but I think I’ll end up coming back for all the good times I’ve had

This place is amazing best service and best sushi! I highly recommend coming here for sit down service. Their wait staff is sooo friendly and helpful and make sure to get you something you’ll love. My favorite roll by far is the Manhattan Roll which is just heavenly especially after a night out. Whenever my friends and I are looking for a late night bite we know that Sushi Tokyo will fulfill our cravings.

Wow this place is awesome! I never write reviews of anything but I felt I had to say a few words about this place. not only is it kosher which makes ordering hassle-free, but as someone who eats vegetarian sushi at non kosher restaurants, I can truly say that this place is great! not only for those who keep kosher! extremely fresh ingredients, even at 1 in the morning! customer service is outstanding as well. I accidentally made my order online for pickup instead of delivery and they actually called me to confirm it. I told them I meant to make the order for delivery and it was no problem at all. fresh sushi, fresh ingredients, quick delivery, great customer service, highly recommended!

Let me start with something very important for everybody, I think when you start over new business you gotta make sure you serve the right food for everybody, when I start coming here a few years ago the food was delicious the roles were very impressive, over the past few times that I visit the sushi place everything is change, there used to be a rolls that you eat and eat and eat and enjoy more and more but my last few visit to this place was disgusting, they brought me rolls that was over dried, and their souls was or was salty as well, werever roll 3 stars is good rating

The highlight of my restaurant choices in the area. Sushi is fresh, creative, and delicious. I usually choose delivery, but last night I had the chance to stop in. The service was great, efficient and it was a perfect ending to my weekend. Can’t wait to treat myself there again!

Worst service. Food is okay but doesn’t matter when the service is so horrible. Waitress hasn’t brought us water to drink or even written down our order. Food sitting in the kitchen and not even brought to our table.

Pleasantly surprised for kosher sushi. Their sauces are great I highly recommend trying their spicy mayo. They’re servers could use a little bit more training but they definitely were nice enough to make the experience a good one. We’ll definitely be coming back!

To err is human, but to repent is divine. The manager spoke to me after my bad experience with Sushi Tokyo before and not only apologized but gave me a coupon towards my next meal. All things considered, I am pretty impressed. :)

After a long day of going without any good kosher grub, my stomach was rumbling, but at midnight, options are limited. You don’t want to go to bed hungry, you want something delicious and a little different, but you also don’t want to eat too much before bed. GrubHub directed me to Sushi Tokyo, and I realized I have a Yen for sushi(pun intended). I ordered a variety of vegetarian rolls and the Moroccan cigars. Everything was delicious, and they sent an ample amount of sweet soy syrup and spicy mayonnaise. The cigars were well-seasoned and crispy, the fried onion roll was like a Japanese French’s onion casserole, the sweet potato avocado tempura roll was crunchy and not one bit greasy, and the Gorgeous Roll, with portabello, avocado, asparagus, avocado, and cashews was perfection on my palate. Everything was fresh, delicious, and arrived promptly. I will definitely order again.

Probably the Best kosher sushi in Brooklyn, the high traffic assures freshness which is all you need for sushi to be good. I highly recommend the Yamato Roll. an absolutely rolled heaven, but you can’t really go wrong with any of the Chef Special rolls.
