Catered a graduation party today, June 4^th, 2016. Every thing we ordered was great, especially the BBQ ribs and the chicken wings. Lisa and Dennis, the owners personally delivered and set up everything. I will absolutely use this deli again and again

Back to the Shore Road Deli for the delicious Chicken Marsala, home made mashed potatoes and fresh carrots. I have this meal once a week now!

Everything you could ask for in a deli, and since they’ve been under new management the service has improved 100 000%. Best quality sandwiches in the area.

The new owners of this deli’s hot food is better than John’s and I am a big fan of John. I bought chicken Marsala, mashed potatoes & broccoli. Excellent. Also bought a chicken pot pie which I will review at a later date because it’s going into the freezer. Staff is very polite and helpful. This is my second review for this deli… last time was their Christmas dinner. Hope people give them a chance to get the kinks out.

Ive been here more than a few times and always found the staff to be courteous and attentive. The hot food, especially the mac and cheese is tasty. Specialty sandwiches are delicious and filling. I recommend «The Marine». I will continue to go to this establishment and recommend it highly to friends.

Love this place! Since the new management came in it’s worth going out of my way for. Clean and bright, with a rotating menu of fresh food daily. Great portion sizes, tasty traditional dishes. Friendly staff round out the experience.
Oh, and DO NOT MISS the rice pudding, it kicks ass! :-)

It took me a while to venture in here again, since the former disastrous ownership following John’s departure. With this new owner, for me the food quality and preparation is FAIR. They need to step up their game a bit to justify the prices they’re charging. I tried the St. Patrick’s Day plate of corned beef and cabbage today and the corned beef wasn’t edible because it was primarily fat, which means I paid $ 16.95 for a wedge of cabbage and a side of carrots. Is all corned beef primarily fat? I recall in that past it wasn’t. Perhaps it’s the quality of meat that’s being ordered here that is the issue. The cabbage was tasteless and the carrots were hard. If you make this dish at home, you’ll know the meat flavors the cabbage and carrots. I’ve also tried the Shepherd’s Pie; it’s presented nicely in individual loaf tins but lacked flavor. I certainly don’t want food loaded with salt, nor could I eat it, but a better cook would order better quality meats, better quality food in general, and have the know-​how to prepare much desired good «home cooked» meals. There is certainly a consumer market for well-​rounded and well-​prepared dinners on the go, and Shore Road Deli is perfectly located for people coming home from work. I wonder, would they serve these meals to a professional well-​known chef and feel they did their best? If not, why serve it to the general public. Basic cooking is not that difficult but good quality ingredients must be present, and people will pay for them.

Went this morning and ordered 3 bacon, egg and cheese on a roll — one with salt, pepper and ketchup. They took forever! Finally, we were given 3 with salt, pepper and ketchup and asked them to correct them please. We waited again just to get home and find that all were cold and all they did was scrape the ketchup off the 2 sandwiches. So 45 minutes later and starving kid. We took them back AGAIN and asked for a refund. they did give it to us but with an attitude. Sorry to see that this is the customer service. We got in and out of the pediatrician faster.

After moving back into the neighborhood recently and making our way through local spots, this is fast becoming our favorite. Friendly service, great food, and very reasonable prices … we are headed back tonight, and again, and again!

New management has revived this bay ridge staple! Super friendly owners and the hot meals are delicious! Try them out for lunch or dinner. My new favorite 6ft hero spot

Under new management October 2015. Clean, courteous establishment with delicious food. Warm, inviting store with traditional food fare. Honoring original recipes with a wonderful mix of new. Don’t let a previous unsuccessful owner keep you away. Well worth a visit to try again or for the first time.

Absolutely disgusting. I’m not sure how a New York deli can mess up a roast beef sandwich, but they managed it. The meat had such a strong smell to it I had to throw away the entire sandwich. Gross. Never order cold cuts from here, you’re risking your health if you do.

This place has the best Flan I have had outside of Puerto Rico! It was my dessert after a yummy roast beef on a roll with cole slaw!
I now need to go jogging so I can justify another visit next weekend!

Have visited this deli/café…they have a seating area, where i enjoy a lovely breakfast. Coffee comes free with breakfast. Staff were friendly and courteous. Decided to try it for lunch. And had their lovely soup and a fish sandwich with HOME MADE tarter sauce which they actually made fresh for me. I found out pretty much EVERYTHING is made fresh daily. Their food is great quality. Their mac and cheese is scrumptious as described by my VERY picky eating daughter. Their meatballs have been rated in the top 20 NATION WIDE… They customize everything to the way YOU want it. They take CUSTOMER SATISFACTION to a new level. This my new place to get homemade cooking when I don’t feel like cooking.

This place has the best egg sandwiches! When the right person prepares them. Consistency is not their strong point, nor are their delivery order taking skills.
Order a sesame seed bagel, expect everything but a sesame seed bagel. I’ve had plain, and poppy arrive. However, in their defense! When they do get the order right it’s heaven. I can attest that I keep on ordering hoping to once again have that perfect egg sandwich.
I will keep on ordering because it’s worth it mistakes and all. Keep hope alive!

There is nothing special about this place, actually it’s pretty un-​special. Just a deli with the basic sandiches and some pre-​made food that I don’t think I would trust to be fresh.
I have been here twice and usually only out of desperation, and despite the teenage boys who look like stoners and take 10 minutes to make a sandwich it’s not terrible– the bread was fresh and the portion decent. A turkey and cheese sandwich and 2 bags of chips were $ 9. I was impressed that they had pickle flavored potato chips and really enjoy the pictures on the walls of the construction of the Verrazano bridge.

This is one of my favorite places to get sandwiches. They can make a mean tuna or egg salad sandwich. The people who work here are friendly and easy to carry on a conversation with whenever I stop by.
The only reason I didn’t give them five stars was due to the fact that I got their fruit mixture once and it tasted a little… fermented.
Otherwise, as far as delis go, one of my faves.

Normally I stick to writing about restaurants, but I have to say something about this deli. One of the best things about this place is that there is always a vibe of a family environment. And by the way, the food is always excellent.
I have had a bunch of different sandwiches and never been let down. Lately my favorite has been a chicken sandwich with buffalo BBQ sauce and blue cheese. They also have great baked macaroni and cheese (which happens to be one of my favorite dishes). And to top it off, when I am feeling unlazy in the morning, they make a fantastic sausage, egg, and cheese on a croissant (which I happen to be a connoisseur of).
Don’t just walk by this place, make sure you go in.
