Nice and courteous staff. This place has a wide selection of liquor. Also, it is conveniently located on 3rd Ave.

Friendly service, convenience and a great selection are what you find when you pop into Henry Harde’s Wines & Liquors. There is not much else that I can say about the place since my only real visits to the establishment come when I need to grab a bottle of wine or other spirits as I head to some sort of gathering in my circle. I’ll say that they’ve always had what I needed when I shopped there and if they were out for whatever reason they would offer suggestions of a similar brand in terms of taste and price. Liquor can be pricey depending on what you need but the prices here seem comparable to others in the same industry. The location is very convenient to me and near mass transit if you should be hitting the train or bus after shopping. Parking while available, is on the streets and could take you a long time since Bay Ridge is a very crowded area these days.

Probably inherited the store from someone, this must be the most depressing wine store on earth. 45% of the inventory is either chardonnay, pinot grigio or sauvignon blanc. 45% more is pinot noir, cabernet or chianti. The remaining 9% is straight up booze. Yep…1% of the 9.900 remaining possibilities(varietals of grapes… never mind types of wines). Seriously, this store is run by people who simply don’t care. They had nothing better to do in life — the store just«happened» on them. No passion. No interest. The older lady sits with her cat on her lap and texts. The taller guys usually rings you up. The only passionate is the younger blonde girl who should probably take over the shop, she actually likes what she does. If someone opens another decent looking wine shop in BR this place is going out of business. Investors anywhere? I‘m in.

Great service, my friend and I came here and she didn’t have a cork opener at home. The staff opened the bottle for us and was very helpful throughout while we were trying to choose what wine to get.

I love picking up booze here on my way home. Wait, that sounded a little problematic. Anyway, this liquor store packs a nice selection into a small-ish space. They don’t always have what I want but I can find something. They are SUPER helpful and nice, and I appreciate that it’s a family-run business. They also are involved in charity and giving back to the community — especially rebuilding Breezy after Sandy. A great local spot!

In Bay Ridge you do not need to walk far to find a liquor store, however Harde’s is in a league of their own. Each member of their staff are knowledgeable of every alcohol they stock and can offer great recommendations. They gift wrap as well as make beautiful baskets. I am extremely picky in the wine that I drink, and any time I have asked any of the staff for help they have exceeded my expectations. If you just tell them what you like to drink or what flavors you enjoy, they immediately spit out a variety of different brands/bottles you may enjoy. After being a patron of theirs for several years, I have yet to be disappointed by any of their products or recommendations. For that reason I am a loyal Harde’s fan and will not go to any other liquor store. It also doesn’t hurt they Deliver! :)

The best place to go for wine and liquor in Bay Ridge! The selection is great and the staff is awesome– very knowledgable and friendly. My fiancé and I have lived in the neighborhood for nearly 4 years and are so happy to live down the street from Henry Harde’s(not that we are alcoholics… we just enjoy our wine).

Great selection, great customer service and the history of this place makes it a go-to for neighborhood wine and liquor. I always go here when I need a unique and liquor-licious gift basket! It’s only overpriced if you like swill and then, well, there’s always the corner store…

This place is the spot to stock up with and booze before a party or just to pick up a bottle of wine for a relaxing night in. Prices are decent and they are cat people(+1).

This place has a pretty large selection, unlike a lot of wine stores I’ve been to in Bay Ridge. They have a lot of liquors and stuff too… But I’ve only looked for wine there. The staff is very knowledgeable about the wines they keep in stock, and if you describe what you’re looking for, they’ll help you find it. Recently, there was a specific wine I was looking for and the staff offered to special order it for me, since it wasn’t in the store. They also have wine tastings fairly often. There are closer wine/liquor stores to my apartment, but I think I’ll keep going out of my way to visit this one.
