I have driven by a thousand times. Looks like a perfect old school Brooklyn joint. Popped in with my son, figured we’d grab a quick sandwich and come back for dinner with my hubby some time. Really disappointing. Ordered a fried fish Sandwich. It came, two big pieces of long fried fish on a plain small round bun and fries. 20 dollars?!! It literally had no taste. I squeezed lemon all over it salt, still, NOTASTE. They give you marinara on the side so we figured OK, maybe they know something we don’t. Poured it on the bun. Nope, just not good. Did I mention $ 20 for A SANDWICH?! The entire menu was insanely expensive for what you could mostly get a Rocco’s Calamari for literally half the price if not less.

Not my favorite seafood place but I do enjoy coming here once in a while. The décor isn’t so nice but the staff is pretty friendly and I never had an issue with the service. Their clam chowder is ok but I love their baked stuffed clams which is my favorite thing to get here. Wouldn’t go out of my way to come here but if I’m in the area, I will continue stopping by.

Wow I must say they really changed, they have new younger staff servers who actually like their job an like customers. Lol We visited over the weekend an had a great experience, great food as always their food is always amazing. They Still have the big ol water pitcher an small plastic cups. Which again I’m not a huge fan of the pitcher it just never will sit right with me. OMG no more mints the son said the company discontinued them :(wah they where so yummy. Parking in the back of the restaurant an there’s always a small wait to be seated. $$$ pricey but worth it.

My favorite seafood place in brooklyn. Every time I am home, my father knows exactly where I want to eat. This place is family owned and the owner knows every customer that walks in the door. It has a great staff, the food is freshly made, and the environment is low-key and comfortable. The stuffed shrimp is my go-to! Nice and hot, juicy, and not drenched in butter. This is, hands-down, my favorite dish. I always go with the fried zucchini — it’s just so darn good. My dad and sister always get the lobster with the red sauce. This has been a family location for us since I was a little girl! I highly recommend this place. If you want Brooklyn seafood, stop in at Randazzo’s.

I loved their flavorful creamy New England clam chowder and their zucchini fries was light and crispy! Their waiters was very friendly and attentive with making sure we had another pitcher of water when they notice we just finished it and take away our plates for us to have more space for comfort and always making sure everything is okay by asking. Customer service is so important and they definitely have a great staff!

My first time coming here. It was recommended by a friend. It definitely was worth the 40 min ride. The food was really good and the server/chef were very attentive. The seafood tasted very fresh and love the sauce my dish had. Will def be coming back.

Always hits the spot! SAUCESAUCESAUCE. I am not a sauce type of guy but their sauce I am ready to dip everything and anything into. My go to dishes in this spot are the calamari in medium sauce and the shrimp in medium sauce. Both dishes are very consistent and are delicious. If you are a seafood fan and a fan of landmarks you must swing by!

Great tasting and very fresh steamers at brooklyn. Don’t expert too much from this place but for the price, it is worth visiting. I like their hot marinara sauce. Truly flavorful compared to other Italian restaurant. Good family restaurant. Bright and spacious. Nice service. Ordered: Steamers Fried calamari Chicken parmesan with spaghetti Con: not much wine section. Overall: 2.5

Randazzo’s is a no frills restaurant with a simple menu. It’s loud with a lot of yelling all around. However, its not about the noise level. It’s about that unbelievably good red sauce that accompanies every order of calamari and also an option as a sauce for spaghetti or linguini. The calamari(calamah) is tender and the breading is light. The steamers we ordered were ok, but I was hoping for a stronger flavor in the broth. Ive had better steamers from them before. The lobster bisque was thick and hearty, as was the New England clam chowder. I ordered 2 full orders of linguini with the medium sauce so we had a double helping of the red sauce on the pasta and with the 2 orders of calamari. I would most definitely come back for that sauce. I do wonder if they will sell the sauce separately so it’s something I will ask the next time we trek it out to Sheepshead Bay.

I was craving seafood on this particular day and decided to come here for some clams. I was greeted immediately at the door and was seated right away. The restaurant appeared clean as well as the men’s room. I started with the mozzarella sticks as an appetizer. The sticks were well seasoned and the marinara sauce was really good. I ordered the Zuppa Di Clams in a white wine sauce as my entrée. Man, those things were spectacular! I had some bread to soak up the sauce and man, it was delicious. My server waitress was friendly as well as professional. She catered to my needs and checked on me occasionally to make sure I was good. This place can be a little pricey but I think the food justifies the price. I will definitely return in the near future because I want to try out their king crab legs!

I’ve driven by Randazzo’s Clam Bar countless times on the way to Roll-N-Roaster but never really gave it a try. My friends dined here before and recommended it. We gave it a try and the outcome was meh. We arrived on a Sunday evening and there were plenty of tables open. The décor is disappointing and old school. A renovation is long overdue – and what’s the deal with those 4 oz. plastic cups? What happened to cups for adults? Steamers $ 23.95 — Their steamers were hot, fresh, and large. But there was 1 big flaw. SAND. There was sand in every bite and sand all over my plate. Rigatoni w/Vodka Sauce w/Shrimp $ 23.95 — The restaurant should really put this pasta in the alcoholic beverages section because our pasta tasted like cheap vodka! It’s not every often people get drunk off pasta, but Randazzo’s sure knows how to pack a punch with every bite. We notified our waitress immediately and she let the chef know about his heavy hand. Lobster Roll $ 21.95 — I shared this plate with my fiancé. The lobster roll is large enough for 2. No complaints of the taste here. I’d recommend this roll. Lobster Bisque Bowl/Spicy Crab Corn Chowder Bowl $ 9.00 — Both soups were a solid choice. The bisque was creamy and filling with a tiny portion of lobster. I tried the spicy crab chowder and it was spicy and tasty. Randazzo’s Clam Bar is a pricey for what you get. It was nothing out of this world and I’ll be unlikely to come back.

It’s been almost twelve years since I’ve lived in Brooklyn and every year that I come home to visit there’s always that one place a friend will suggest to eat that will make me remember«oh yea, I hated this place.» It’s basically Russian roulette for your digestive system every time I hear«we should do dinner,» but not wanting to be that one friend who says«oh but…» I say a little prayer and hope that this isn’t the place that does me in… Friends, enemies, and strangers reading this and hoping I’m not about to tell you about Montezuma’s revenge… I’m here to tell you, Randazzo’s was not that place. Overwhelmed by our options, my girlfriend and I decided to share the Lobster Roll and Soft Shell Crab Sandwich with the fried zucchini as our side. This was no regular Lobster Roll let me tell you. This thing was ginormous and could very easily feed two people. The lobster in the sandwich was generously sized and there was a good ratio of lobster per bite unlike other places where they overload the roll with celery and other fillers. The softshell crab was fried to perfection and wasn’t overly breaded allowing the taste of the crab to shine through each bite. Even the fried zucchini was on point. Randazzo’s is a neighborhood institution and growing up here, I know why, but it’s nice to come home after twelve years and have the taste buds sing rather than my stomach yell at me for treason. If you’re traveling and reading this I promise you won’t regret eating here. If you live here and read this, I promise I’m not some random chick from Honolulu who doesn’t know her food writing up a review about a Brooklyn institution. I know my food; I didn’t get fluffy from eating celery. In closing, eat here. It’s good.

If you love seafood and amazing customer service Randazzo’s should definitely be on your«to-do» list. I haven’t experienced too much of Sheepshead Bay but apparently Emmons Avenue is the place to be in the summer. My boyfriend and I love seafood so we decided to have dinner at Randazzo’s on a Sunday afternoon. My boyfriend informed me before stepping inside the restaurant that it was a very casual environment. Upon stepping inside it is definitely casual ambiance with harsh lighting, absolutely nothing to write home about. So we opted to sit outside which we usually do anywhere that has outside seating. The outside seating is along the side of the restaurant and offered a great opportunity to people watch and view JFK air traffic. The host brought over a pitcher of ice water which was super refreshing on a Sunday afternoon. After a very short wait we were greeted by our server. She was incredibly friendly and made us feel like she’d do anything to make us satisfied. After reviewing their very extensive menu we were finally ready to make some decisions. We ordered the fried calamari and baked clams for appetizers. They both were super fresh and delicious. I also ordered the lobster roll with fried zucchini. The lobster roll was very meaty and simply fantastic. The side of fried zucchini was a very large portion size. I couldn’t even finish it all. Finally, even the cole slaw was tasty. Most places miss the boat when it comes to cole slaw but this was the kind of slaw you could eat all day. Overall, we really enjoy our Randazzo’s experience and will definitely be back!

I came here for lunch because I work two blocks away and I was in the mood for Italian, my friend had wanted to try their lobster roll after seeing another table order it the last time he was here I read up on this place on Unilocal and ordered calimari $ 12 and we shared a pasta the shrimp with spicy red sauce I forgot the exact name of it. It was $ 23. My thoughts on this place is the food is below average the service is slow and the only thing worth giving a star about is the nice waitress who always served us with a smile and the marinara sauce. If you have a short lunch break like I do, I would not suggest coming here… the food took forever to come out, I was not a fan of the«shrimp foh sth pasta«and I thought the lobster roll was a joke, the bread is not toasted or buttered, the lobster lacked flavor and there wasn’t really an abundance of lobster meat compared to the size of the roll I would suggest red hook lobster over this place or by far the best I’ve had in nyc is lobster joint In queens. One star went to the calimari Only because the marinara sauce that comes with it was bomb diggity, the calimari itself is ehh. L&B serves better and a bigger portion for same price *if you do order the calimari I suggest getting the sauce on the calimari because you get more sauce that way and that’s really the only thing worth eating.

A few friends and I made plans to try out Randazzo’s for steamers and a late lunch this past Sunday. When we got to the casual restaurant, we were dismayed when the waitress informed us that they didn’t have any steamers that day. However, the famous red sauce made up for this disappointment. But let’s back up to the beginning of the meal. The menu has a decent amount of choices, from seafood to Italian specialties. While mozzarella sticks are so tempting to eat by the beach(my first time trying mozzarella sticks was on the beachfront deck at Martell’s in Point Pleasant Beach, NJ in the early 90’s), we opted instead for the calamari with red sauce, and some baked clams. The calamari was good, not too chewy, and we preferred the red sauce on the side instead of smothered on top. The baked clams were good too, somewhat standard, but good. For my main course, I had seen photos on Unilocal of the rigatoni vodka, and knew I must have it. I am so glad I did, because it was so garlicky, so creamy, had such a nice depth of flavor, that I had no order envy of the various gigantic seafood + red sauce + linguine plates that sat menacingly in front of my friends. From the $ 5 mini bottles of house white, to the slightly surly and perfunctory manner of the waitress, I really liked the old New York style of Randazzo’s. And of course, the sauce.

It’s a Monday night and Randazzo’s, a casual neighborhood place, is pretty much packed. Hmmm. That says one thing to me –the food must be good. Daughter in law steered me to Randazzo’s and she wasn’t wrong. It’s an Italian seafood joint and I was craving some shrimp. We were served a delicious crusty bread with butter. Just the right texture. Reminded me of French bread. Had the Fried zucchini appetizer served with a super tasty, marinara sauce. Yum. They did a good job of frying them so oiliness was at a minimum. A bowl of New England clam chowder was creamy and delicious with fresh and plentiful pieces of clams. Ordered Shrimp parmigiana with spaghetti and marinara sauce, Chicken parmigiana with pasta, Crab cakes with zucchini, broiled lobster, and spaghetti with garlic and oil. A wonderful array of dishes all prepared with great expertise except for the spaghetti with oil and garlic. It looked beautiful upon presentation with slices and slivers of garlic topping the pasta. But it lacked flavor because it basically lacked seasoning. Did our chef get so involved in making our other dishes to perfection that he forgot to put salt in the pasta water? We brought it home and i will fix it because all that beautiful garlic cannot go to waste. First time at Randazzo’s won’t be my last – it’s a super delicious place to eat with courteous and attentive service.

Some may say its overrated, but I say that they make a great calamari. They know their seafood very well. I don’t think I have ever been to any other seafood places in the area just because this place takes the cake, p. s. they have delicious mints

Randazzo’s is a neighborhood institution. It’s been in Sheepshead Bay since 1932. My dad been coming here for decades and he has finally introduced me. We split the raw clams and mussels. They’re fresh and have a pristine taste. I liked them straight. My dad likes them fully loaded with lemon juice, cocktail sauce, horseradish, and Tabasco sauce. We also had fried calamari. This was the best fried calamari I’ve had. The crust was light, and I could actually taste the squid were as most calamari has the creasing overpower the squid. It was also covered in the house made medium red sauce. The sauce is delicious! It would be great on anything!

I went there around 6pm on a Sunday, the place was so busy! But we were seated really quickly. The place is spacious and very open, with outdoor seating. It’s a really casual setting, I can’t imagine how packed the place would be during the summer. I was really craving some raw seafood so my boyfriend and I ordered half dozen of cherry stones and half dozen of raw oysters. Boy, was it fresh. The oysters came out to around $ 2.50 a piece, can be pricey but it’s worth it. Aside from the raw bar, we ordered linguine with red clam sauce, mozzarella sticks, and crab cake sandwich with fries. The pasta was average — nothing too special other than the amount of clams in the sauce. Every bite, I had clams — it was wonderful! The mozzarella sticks was very warm and crunchy. They hit the spot! Finally, the crab cake sandwich! One order comes with two crab cakes on a bun, with fries and cole slaw. The crab cake was filled with crab, soo much crab! Although tasty, I felt that it was overcooked — the outside was too hard and tasted burnt. Overall, it was a great meal and great atmosphere! Definitely come here if you are craving seafood! Next time I go, I’m definitely trying the mussels and calamari — every single table had these items!
