Amazing service, delicious food, lovely atmosphere! I am not sure how long they’ve been open but it doesn’t compare to the rest of the overrated, obnoxiously loud places on Emmons ave! Me and my friend came here for dinner on a week night and were greeted by a super friendly waitress! She was very attentive, gave few suggestions and wasn’t too overwhelming through out our stay! Most places on Emmons try to hurry you out of their restaurant to accommodate others or let you sit there waiting for your wine for hours. However, Cipura’s staff was amazing! The food was delicious. We ordered fried calamari, oyster-vodka shots, two fish entries and dessert! Everything was perfect! I will definitely be back! And they serve breakfast till 5PM!!!

First time eating here. Was expecting better food and service. Waited 45 minutes for entrée and when it finally came out we were disappointed. Ordered chicken shish which was dry. The fries were a dark brown fried in old oil and the rice came out cold. So we had to wait longer for rice. Spoke to manager who didn’t really care for our opinion. We will not be coming back.

Food: this is strange but the salads we ordered were made with poor quality vegetables. I tasted slightly spoiled cucumbers and tomatoes. I chose not to say anything because I didn’t want my guests to be upset. Also fried calamari tasted overdone. Then they brought out the main courses. Salmon a bit too dry. Shrimp casserole though… surprisingly good. Got here on a bad good day possibly? Service: our waitress was amazing. Amazing memory and attention to our table. Cant say enough. Décor: the place looks great and they have a very good location. Would definitely come back.

Great location on a Emmons. As soon as you walk in the waitress and Waiters were attentive and seated you quickly and checked on you often. The meal tasted great. Mussels were delicious but on small side and would have been better if the baby mussels grew up 。We both had fish as our entrees both tasted fresh from the ocean without the fishy smell. It was lightly seasoned which was something i enjoyed. Will come back for sure and try their lamb for sure.

Best of the Bay On our way to the city walking along Emmons Ave. a table was set up offering free coffee. The proprietor and an associate handed us a cup, gave us a menu. We were curious to see the place, not being on Emmons but the adjacent side street, part of the old Lundy’s structure, we peeked in. The place: Cool, chic very clean totally new and a nice size room not too big. We love Opera but it is very large and takes away the intimacy of a café’ style experience. Cipura was like a 42 regular — it fit just right. Outdoor tables, where you can eat breakfast till 5 p.m. on the side street away from tall the noise and people of Emmons Avenue. It’s tucked right on the side of the building on East 19th St. They have seating for 2 or longer tables for large parties. Very intimate and romantic interior with just the right touch of class and hipness. The food: On our way back from the city, where we ate, we were hungry again and curious to try the place so we stopped in and were seated immediately, good sign. The place was busy and they gave us a table in the middle of the space. It was lively but not annoyingly loud like the larger places we’ve been. The lights are set at a very comfortable and relaxing brightness, no need for sunglasses. We didn’t want much, just a nosh, so we started with fresh mozzarella appetizer. First the bread came out and as I’ve stated before that’s the handshake. It was the usual flatbread BUT it was warmed and the flavor was so that it didn’t need butter. I knew this attention to a small detail would be an indication of whatever followed, my instincts were correct. The mozarella came out with a half of cherry tomato on top with drzzled olive oil, and chopped basil served with kalamata olives. The cheese was fresh, tender and not too milky, excellent with the tomato and basil. Next the calamari was floured just right, cooked to perfection and very tender for larger rings. Lastly I had the raw oysters, which are served in a very unique way that I thought someone put a lot of thinking into. The oysters were fresh, cold and delicious. A couple of glasses of wine and we were done. The proprietor remembered us from the morning and thanked us repeatedly for stopping by, very good ambassador for this establishment. Although we only had appetizers the standards displayed by these excellent choices only whet our appetite to return and have a regular meal. The service: We were seated immediately, our waiter was over in under 3 minutes, despite a busy night. Our drinks from ordering to being on the table was under 4 minutes which is the advantage of a more intimate setting. They were always rounding the table to pick up a plate, take another order; very efficient but not intrusive. They have it down to a science, ALREADY, despite being a new place. I cannot recommend this establishment more and I am confident the few noshes we had will flow through, quality-wise, any dish they have. Like I always say if they pay such attention to the small things the main dishes are probably just as good, if not better. The jumbo shrimp looked fabulous as did many other dishes we saw passing by us. We are anticipating our next visit, which will be very soon. Plenty of parking, accessible by the B or Q train, bus or the Belt Parkway there’s no excuse not to come here. And with all the choices in Sheepshead Bay now and having tried every single one this will be our #1 spot because of it’s size, food quality, service and ambiance. You cannot go wrong here. UPDATE: We returned on Wednesday to have dinner I had the grilled Octopus which was perfectly cooked, extremely tender and it had that slight smoky taste from the char with a great texture. I had the Royal Dorado/Cipura for the main course char grilled. The fish was the best Ive had in the Bay and I’ve eaten at them all. The skin was crispy but not burnt the meat was moist and it fell right off the bone and the flavor was exceptional. My better half had the Chicken Breast topped with Asparagus and Melted Cheese and loved it. The chicken was moist, the vegetables fresh with excellent flavor. I cannot recommend this establishment higher. It’s the Bay’s best kept secret.

Delicious sea foods with Manhattan style. You can try Coban salad, crispy anchovies, signature CIPURA fish and best KUNEFE(traditional turkish dessert) on Emmons Avenue. Dont forget to get turkish coffee or small special tea

I decided to try out this place with a friend of mine. Some dishes were good while others tasted completely bland. Especially the frozen octopus that was defrosted in front of us and tasted absolutely rancid. That completely deterred us from ever coming back here again.

Restaurant located right off the beaten path of Emmons Avenue in the heart of SheepsheadBay. Very cozy and modern Decore. Not your typical Mediterranean restaurant on Emmons Avenue. Mixed variety of Mediterranean foods ranging from Turkish Greek and slight hint of Israeli. He definitely distinguishes itself on the more higher end cuisine. Our waiter Dennis was extremely knowledgeable in the restaurant menu. Was able to recommend and describe unique restaurant dishes and great knowledge of variety of different fishes. Would highly recommend it for new alternative to SheepsheadBay dining.

Amazing food, atmosphere, and service! Can’t get better than this. Came here for my birthday to celebrate with family, and left with a big smile. Food was cooked perfectly, with excellent service. Waiter was very kind and patient and wore a big smile the whole time. Fried Kalamar came out PERFECTLY! Never ever had Fried Kalamar as good as this. The Seafood pasta was delicious and wasn’t too oily or creamy. The waiter kept bringing tasty bread with great organic butter. The menu doesn’t have your eyeballs all over the place, so it’s simple and straight to the point. Since the resturant is still pretty new, the menu might not be in all completed yet. You can see whats cookin’ in the kitchen behind a very modern wall and décor. The restaurant offers two seating locations in the daytime, one in the front where theres much sunlight, and one in the back where it’s more candle lit. Highly recommend checking this restaurant out, as the food and service is great. Prices are good, and totally worth it. Thanks Cipura!

Probably be only decent food option in Sheepshead Bay. Food is made with care, flavored to an extent, The food options are not your typical fare, again as far as Sheepshead Bay goes. As a vegetarian I really appreciate the variety. The waiter was wonderful, thoughtful, and made a hell of a dry martini, with Hendricks gin no less.

The food was decent I cannot complain about this place, my only concern is that when the bill came the waiter wrote the digests tip was 54 dollars on a 200 bill check. When we gave him 15 percent for normal service which was 34 dollars he would not accept it obnoxiously saying he deserved 54 dollars. I do not believe that is exactly right and perhaps ridiculous.

This place is great for large parties. There were 10 of us there for a birthday party and the staff were very friendly and accommodated all of our needs. Food was well prepared and drinks were strong. Atmosphere is beautifully decorated. Over all was a very nice experience and most likely will come again.

NEVERHADANEXPERIENCELIKETHISINSHEEPSHEAD. I left with the biggest smile on my face. The food is amazing. The service is incredible. None of that«if you’re not wearing a Birkin, I won’t give you the time of day» type of service. We got the grilled octapus, fried calamari, and spicy feta. Portions are large — and OHSO delicious!!! Wasn’t espensive whatsoever. Cannot wait to go back here. Everything was great. So happy I stumbled upon this place.

Delicious Delicious Delicious! I brought my 8 year old daughter here for her birthday and was concerned about the sophisticated menu options. Well let me tell you they offered things that weren’t on their menu just to accommodate us, however we still ordered the mussels and the shrimp and we had to get a second serving, that’s how good it was. The service was phanominal, so attentive and catering. The appetizer was independent like a meal, I cannot describe without the word delicious and so was my entrée. The seafood pasta was amazing and godly. It had the right amount of flavor and they gave a good serving of seafood with the food. I had to say it was one of the best food I had on emmons ave. I did not intend to write any reviews today so I didn’t take any pictures, but I had to because the service was on par and it needed to be said. I enjoyed going to this restaurant, I must say.

Food is good but i wouldn’t come here again. Unless you’re used to city prices and european style portions, i recommend going to Masal around the corner or O’pera down the block. Saturday night and the place is empty so im assuming they need to make up for the rent. We got our appetizers all at once and have been waiting almost 40 mins for our Entrees AFTER they cleaned away all the apps and plates. Lastly the menu descriptions are all wrong and the waitress isn’t sure about anything either. So yes, so far the apps have been really good but its not worth everything else going on.

I loved the atmosphere and service, everyone was so polite and smiley. food is good, but it’s a bit overpriced because the portions kinda small. I really enjoyed, but it’s not a place where you stuff yourself for sure.

Hosted a bridal shower with 20 people. Manager and I agreed on a per person charge with open bar. Let’s start with the food: since we agreed per person basis, I had the food served family style. Family style worked well for my party everyone tried what they wanted. My guests loved the open bar, drinks kept on coming and they were tasty Service: The restaurant opened a number of weeks ago. With that being said ultimately the service was great. My only concern was they cut my surprise cake without showing it to me. I am not a bridezilla therefore I took a picture with half my cake. The atmosphere and location is beautiful and the owner and his staff go out of there way to make each customer feel incredible. The owner is very social and make sure everyone is satisfied with his staff and his food Ultimately, I look forward to bringing my friends and trying more dishes. This is a 4 star restaurant. Very Manhattan style and very classy. Has lots of potential to be five.
