I just moved to the neighborhood and was desperate for a good haircut. I have learned over the years that this is no easy task as apparently straight, stiff Asian hair is particularly difficult to style. However, this was no challenge for Sinan. He knew exactly my concerns before I said a word and totally tamed the crazy. Highly recommended!

This place was absolutely amazing. Eyup did an amazing job. Not only did he do an amazing cut but he knew exactly how to style my hair so it fit my face. He listened to what I wanted and made it frame my face perfectly. On top of that, they have a bar, so you can pre game while glamming :)

I used to bounce around to any salon in the neighborhood, not really caring who cut my hair. Not anymore. Now I only go to Sinan. I get compliments on my hair now, some from old friends and one time a few weeks ago from a complete stranger. And not only is Sinan a master at cutting hair, he’s really nice and easy to chat with. I’ll never go anywhere else.

I’ve been cutting my hair with them for a year now. I am a very pick person when it comes with my hair but he is the best. My girlfriends gets her hair cut and colored as well and loves it. Highly recommended!!!

I have been going to Sinan since he was in Bay Ridge and I have to tell you, he’s the MAN. He has taken me from brunette, to a fiery red, to a beautiful auburn and now, to a gray (which I’ve always wanted to try). I don’t know how much you know about hair color, but from what I’ve learned, those are NO easy tasks. He takes such good care of my hair that with all of these colors and treatments, he’s still managed to keep it healthy and vibrant. I have never walked out of his salon without being completely 100% happy. We try new cuts, and trends and it’s always a great experience. He’s the only person I would trust with my hair and even if it means I have to go from Bay Ridge to Williamsburg, let me tell you, it’s 100% worth it! Go to Papyon. Seriously.

I love Sinan. He is the best hairstylist. Amazing guy I highly recommend him. I always wanted to try short haircut but I was always scared to do it because not every hairstylist is good at it but I met Sinan and he amazed me with his work and since then Papyon became my place

I had a great hair cut tonight with Diana. She listened to everything I said & then offered useful suggestions for my cut. She was careful & took her time. I really love this salon & had a great experience here. will definitely be back.

I’ve been going to this salon for a few years now and I have to say their service is beyond excellent. Papyon is a very professional salon its very comforting to see every customer walk out satisfied with the style of their hair, color or cut. When i go there Im served champaign or wine while I wait, so I don’t think of it as a salon, more like a place to relax. I Definitely Recommend this place!!!

Ask for Sinan. Built this business himself and is a brilliant stylist; cool guy. Highly recommended. I also whipped my hair back and forth multiple times after an appointment because I looked so damn good.

The salon that I had been going to for 5+ years shut down and I was looking for a new one when Papyon opened on Bedford and S. 4^th. I work around the corner so I’m always passing by and Sinan is a welcome and friendly face to the neighborhood. I sometimes find it difficult to convey to a hair stylist how I want my hair to be cut but Sinan took my direction and gave me the best haircut I’ve had in a long time.
The space is absolutely beautiful with ornate decorations, exposed brick and hardwood floors, and it’s especially worthy to note how gorgeously it is decorated because it used to be a super ugly car service operation.
I will definitely be back when it is time for the next cut and I hope to see every chair filled in Papyon soon!

Sinan is the best. I travel all the way from Bay Ridge to Williamsburg because he always get my hair just right. I like switching up my hairstyle a lot and Sinan’s expertise is always on point.

In June, I got my bridal hair done by Sinan, and it was a great decision I made. I got very nice compliments about my beautiful bridal hair, and I was very happy and satisfied with that… which is a big deal for any bride. Sinan is an amazing professional hair dresser who listens to his customers and who very much cares about their expectations. And when the hair stylist is great at what he is doing and cares about making his customers happy, the result is beautiful hair with happy faces which makes a person look even more beautiful! Thank you so very much Sinan! You rock! :)

Let me preface this by saying I’m a pain in the ass when it comes to my hair. It’s a daunting task to find someone who cuts your hair well. I came across Sinan in Bayridge at his salon AK7 Hair Experts and quite frankly he’s the best. The man is a rockstar, meticulous in every way, his chair side manner incredible. He listens to you in every way, makes recommendations that for me have been spot on every time. Sinan is a true master of his craft.
And then he moved from Bay Ridge to Williamsburg! After about a minute of deliberation I decided to continue using his services (everyone from Brooklyn knows about the traffic on the BQE.) His New salon Papyon is fantastic. Gorgeous red barber chairs, a fantastic atmosphere and great staff. He welcomes you And offers you a drink, you feel very comfortable.
Sounds too good to be true well it is true and if I can give him 6 stars I would. Go you’ll NOT be disappointed!

A solid 5 stars for Sinan. I highly recommend him he is very calm, and a good listener, and mainly he takes his time to work on your hair. He did my first haircut and highlights about 3 years ago and I loved his work since then, so if you want the best cut and color experience defiantly stop by his quaint salon.

I was referred to Sinan about a year ago and have been so happy with every cut that I won’t go anywhere else. I am very picky about the way my hair is cut because it is so curly, but have been happy with the result every single visit. The location, hospitality, quality, and price can’t be beat.

I’m extremely. particular (to put it nicely) when it comes to my hair. I usually only visit salons like Oscar Blandi and Warren Tricomi at the Plaza where you’re sure to pay a price tag equal to what your first born would go for on the black market.
On a whim, I phoned Sinan at 10 AM on a Sunday morning. He told me to come in at noon. Due to my own neglect and laziness, my hair was in dire need of a serious overhaul. And Sinan delivered. Cut, balayage, lowlights, blowout. Everything turned out perfectly. And I have yet to get tired of all the compliments, even a week later.
But not only did my hair come out perfectly, Sinan himself was great. Interesting but not too chatty, offering food or drink or whatever else I needed and making sure I was comfortable. I loved my time at his lovely little salon and have now been cured of paying insane amounts of money for what Sinan does. and better!
I’ll be back in 6 – 8 weeks, no doubt.
