This was on of my Saturday excursions with my forever +1 and it was all the way around decent. It is definitely a sports bar seems like a great place to watch any sporting event. The food is basic bar/dinner food. Nothing that will change your life. They have a jukebox if you wold like to play your own music which is pretty cool, and they also have another seating area upstairs.

RECOMMENDED When I’m not lawyering, Unilocaling, trading stocks or hosting dinners I’m solving the JFK assassination(what should really be called the Right Wing Coup of 11/22/63)…More about that later. After the nice subpoena clerk in Brooklyn Supreme Court told me I had to come back in two hours because her office was closing, I had two hours to kill. I decided to plop my butt down at O’Keefe’s Bar & Grill to enjoy a burger and brew and read«The Dark Side of Lyndon Baines Johnson», a book everyone should read. A pleasant young female server greeted me in the dining area. After she patiently answered my questions about the respective merits of two Sierra Nevada brews, I chose the Pale Ale. It came just as I like it: cold, refreshing and delicious. I ordered a Bacon & Cheddar Burger. The 8 ounce beauty arrived perfectly medium as requested. It was full of mineral flavor and luscious, making my taste buds do Karaōke. The generous portion of accompanying fries were of the crisp variety. They were tasty and not greasy. For those of you under 40, the key to understanding the 1963 coup is googling«Lyndon ducks». But I digress… after enjoying my great burger and brew I’m handed a check with my server’s name… «Marina»…the same as Oswald’s wife. Synchronicity baby!!!

I pass by this place all the time and finally took the plunge and walked in. I was thoroughly impressed with how big the space is(because it looks small-ish from the outside). They have an array of beers and liquors to quench your thirst. And even food!(I didn’t eat but it smelled pretty tasty – I’ll try it next time I go). Friendly staff, friendlier patrons, and great prices. Be sure to stop by if you’re in the neighborhood! I’ll definitely be back.

Very surprising ‘type’ of bar to find in this«not-really-a-neighborhood» neighborhood. This is a young bar. A large space for partying. It is geared for the tech/contractor/govt vendor workers so common these days(borough hall and all sorts of business and government offices are close by). Clean, well-kept-up. Snappy service. Numerous tables. Sizeable bathrooms. Plates of sizzling pub-food standards(wings, tenders, burgers, etc). If you’re in the area and need a reliable type of place,(rather than a hole-in-the-wall) this would be your best bet. The only thing I can say to the negative is that it just doesn’t feel all that intimate(due to the high ceilings) and that its a little lacking in character. But nevermind that. Its a very efficient operation, overall.

Service is great even when it was St. Patrick’s Day. Stopped in for lunch and was thrilled to see Smithwicks on draft. However I have to say that I wasn’t as fond of the fish and chips. The chips were good of course. But the fish didn’t have a nice taste. It wasn’t like the usual fish and chips I have at British places. Maybe a different type of fish? But all things considered, I’d still come back because it was an overall positive experience. Just not get fish and chips. Or maybe just chips.

Everything was fine. The drinks were good until we ordered food that did not come for an hour in a half. Me and my friend were so busy catching up that we didn’t notice until we saw people who were seated after us receiving their food order. One of the servers comes and explains the mix up which was a crazy lack communication between the staff and the food will be free, but when another server brings us the check she denies it. The Shepards pie taste like the mashed potatoes were from the box. And because she said the food would be free we ordered more drinks. Nothing was done to ease the fact that we were forgotten about. I will never come here again… I’m disappointed because I really liked the place.

I would definitely come back to O’Keefes. From the staff and the prompt service this place is certainly on top of my list of bars. The chicken wings didn’t disappoint either and anyone that knows me I’m a wing guy. I can travel an hour for good wings yes I’m crazy. So finding a place in Brooklyn close to home that has good wings that’s a win. Drinks were pretty good and I will be back.

Bad food. Bad service. Bad drinks. Unless it’s coming from a tap or bottle the drinks are gross. The apps tasted like they came out of the freezer. The server we had had a bad attitude and was texting instead of minding her tables. $ 50 tab for greasy apps a terrible cosmo and two beers. I could have defrosted some TGI Fridays apps in my oven and would have found them better… how do you mess up apps?

I’ve been to O’Keefe’s many, many times since living and working in the area. My opinion of the place has varied over time. But I walked in here randomly today for a very late lunch with a friend of mine, and I realize that I have become a fan of this place. My friend order a delicious beer in a very large glass, and I had a good oatmeal stout along with what is probably the best french onion soup I’ve had in a while. I’ll expand upon this review a little later.

This place is a little on the pricey side for the drinks however, the food is pretty good for a bar and they have really great wings. The service is on par with other bars that I’ve been to in the area and I would definitely recommend it to other people. Overall great place to catch up with some friends or watch a game!

Lawyer bar. Law students and lawyers flock to this place after class and after court. Wings are some of the best you will get anywhere. Great specials and they will play sports game you like.

I stopped in on a Monday night for a quick bite. I’ve been here before and it’s your pretty typical wannabe Irish bar. As it was Monday night they had a decent $ 4 pint special as well as $.50 wings. The wings were pretty good, especially for $.50 each. They were cooked well and a decent size, sometimes places with inexpensive wing specials give you these tiny baby wings. I’d probably go back for cheap wings again if I was in the area but otherwise there’s nothing really special about this place.

This place has«specials» but couldnt honor them because they didnt have the food or the ingredients to make the kind of drinks i wanted. i kept trying to check-in on Unilocal but it kept saying i was to far away even tho i was inside this place was pretty boring i felt like going to sleep. bartender was pushy and rude cant see myself coming back

Meh, indeed. The only thing this place has going for it is location — if you’re a tourist or if you’re welcoming your touristy friends to the neighborhood this place has a lot of thing within walking distance that are great. I supposed if you’re a sports fan this place might not be so bad either but there are better places in and around this quaint part of the borough to get your sports on. And you’ll never know if you’re gonna see your game since the staff have no idea what’s on their TVs. Customer service was ok as far as courtesy goes but I felt as if the bartenders were way too stressed out for having a less than full bar at the time. Not to mention they aren’t good a taking an assessment of the entire bar to see who’s next on the list for a drink. I waited for ever while people jumped in the bar line after I was already waiting and got waited on. If this bar wants to get on the radar and take advantage of all the good things they have going, location, size, TVs, get better bartenders, better menu and advertise your games(my friends wanted to watch off the wall Rugby which I know comes on cable if you have a major sports package) — maybe also sell the place to the tourists with all the cool things they can do around the neighborhood so us locals with visitors in town don’t have to do all the work(kidding not kidding).

Mediocre Irish pub, actually it is more of an American sports bar and grill despite of an Irish name. It lacks all the traditional Irish food staples: Corned Beef & Cabbage Casserole Dublin Coddle Beet Cabbage & Pecan Salad Irish Soda Bread Shepherd’s Pie Shamrock Salad Whiskey Cake Irish Colcannon Irish Potato & Leek Soup Potato Farl Boxty Saturday night out in town with party of two. We dined to bacon grilled cheese $ 8.70 and one turkey burger $ 11.95. No alcohol intake for either of us. My turkey burger was okay as it was not juicy but MEH. Service is extremely too efficient as upon sitting down we did not have time to scan thoroughly the menu to make a selection.

We were charged $ 4 over what we should have been. There is a typo on the menu that says«house wine» is $ 3 more than«imported wine». We thought it was weird and asked about it before ordering. The waitress is new and said she didn’t know why, so my friend ordered the cheaper imported wine($ 9). For the next round my friend asked how much a Jameson on the rocks was. The new waitress specifically asked at the bar and came back to tell us it was $ 8. When the bill came we were charged $ 12 for the imported wine and $ 9 for the Jameson. A manager came and explained that there is a typo on the menu and that the wine is $ 12 as though she was not going to charge us what the menu reads. Only after we argued back and said we specifically asked did she say she would change it. They would not relent on the $ 9 Jameson, as she said on the rocks is another $ 1. Never mind that we specifically had asked how much Jameson on the rocks was.

The best place in Brooklyn! Food, drinks and people are really awesome… You can’t find a better sports bar in the whole city! Music, specially on Sunday, is really good…

Nice local bar, decent typical bar food. I was happy to find a few nice craft beers including the seasonal magic hat elder Betty and the seasonal ruthless rye IPA from Sierra Nevada. Very reasonable prices Two beers and a shot for less than $ 20.
