M Noodle Shop is a Chinese restaurant that serves a variety of noodles and dumplings neat the Metropolitan Ave stop on the G train in Brooklyn. I came here for dinner. It looks much smaller on the outside. Walk in and go to the back of the restaurant, and you’ll find a big seating area. I like M Noodle Shop because… + it’s relatively inexpensive + heat! + they have vegetable steamed buns! most dumpling shops I’ve eaten at in NYC only have pork steamed buns. + so many options The service is a bit slow, and we had to get up and flag our server down in order to pay. There was some confusion with splitting the check, but nothing too troublesome. I will be back to try more!

I’ve lived in the neighborhood for 4 years now and I honestly don’t know why we keep coming back to this place. The service isn’t great, the noodle soup quality has seriously diminished recently(the broth is not even a tiny bit flavorful) and anything else on the menu(aside from the steamed dumplings) is a huge mistake to order. I tried to branch out/give them another shot as I guess I tend to do on cold winter days, and ordered the chicken curry over rice which was basically just mush. I’m not a picky eater at all, but I need flavor and texture at the very least! Also way overpriced for what it is. I’m done for good!

I loved this noodle shop and wish we had one in my town. I got the chicken potstickers(boiled) and the spicy beef noodle soup. It was delicious and the portions are huge. It is open late night, which was my favorite part. I will go back here next time I am visiting Brooklyn.

Delicious late night eats! Dumpling soup, fried dumplings, sesame sandwich, it’s all good. This place can get packed. Warning: The more packed, the more stressed out the staff! Tips help. :)

The wings here are great. I had the lo mein with chicken it was ok. The restaurant itself was packed and seemed like a popular spot.

I love the vegetable dumplings and vegetarian buns. The best thing about this place is that it stays open late till 5 am so it’s a great place to go to for late nights. I really don’t love the service. The service is really horrible. The server is always rushing and I feel scared to even ask him for anything because he’s such in a rush. If they could just fix that, this place would be great.

Most of the time I have my noodz at home, hot hot noodz. I get noodz when nobody is looking… But every once in a while I am out and about and I really get a craving for noodz. Luckily this place had exactly what I was craving. Hot noodz. You get to look at your noodz in a small wooden room in the back, with about seating for 40PPL. Usually I want more privacy for my noodz, but when the noodz come in, you really don’t care if people are looking at you or not. The noodz are reasonably priced and its. Pretty basic, but hey. You gotta get yr hot noodz sometimes.

Service sorta did this place in for me, that and price. Not that the food was bad but paying this much I’d like a little better, and a warmer, friendlier atmosphere. Good roast pork buns I wish I could find something this good or better near home on the island… If you know of a place tell me! And decent ramen with pork belly the way it’s meant to be, tender and tasty, but if I order a fried egg, I want that thing runny. A runny yolk oozes into the broth and really makes the ramen that much richer, and that’s what this lacked, richness. Still good but no great. It hit the spot but also hit our wallets. Orders were confused and like I said, service was lacking.

Nope not worth it! The shrimp dumplings were bland and the scallion pancake wasn’t very scallion-y. Order the sautéed ho fun with tomatoes and tofu and it tastes just like the gas from the stove! So I asked for a different entrée and got the cold noodles in peanut butter sauce and it tastes like they just microwaved some skippy and slabbed it on there. Not too expensive but not worth it

Jason(short, Asian) is a true contribution to hospitality. His service has never been short of impeccable, instantaneous service, even @ 4:20am??? Any dumpling(shrimp, pork, veggie, chicken) fried or steamed is «Latenight Bliss». Window seats in the front portion of the restaurant compliment the garden in the back.

It’s too bad my experience was so crappy because I really wanted some noodles! I’ve been here a few times and it’s always been ok — not the best — but consistently ok. Today I walked in and was greeted by a stressed out aggressive tall white dude who made me feel like an idiot because I asked if it was table service or if I should order with him. He then moved my bag after I had placed it on my table and was about to sit down. Literally just put his hands on my poor little unassuming backpack for no reason and pushed it to the side. I was sitting at a raised bar table along the wall btw in a nearly empty place so it wasn’t in the way… I don’t know where they found this guy but I don’t need to be greeted with such a shitty attitude. Also, I discourage people leaving negative reviews since I myself work in the service industry but sometimes you gotta call it like ya see it. Won’t be going back.

Whhhhhhyyyyyy didn’t we try this place sooner? Great ambiance, great selection, excellent fresh noodles, amazing sesame pancakes. This place comes with the usual stand-offishness of any take out Chinese joint, so while the service is adequate, don’t walk in here and expect Mr. or Mrs. Personality to wait on you. The dining room in the back is cute. Music selection was a bit wtf the second time we were there(late 80’s pop and hair metal– why?) but who cares the food is great.

If it’s late, I’m drunk and in Williamsburg, there is approximately a 100% chance that my girlfriend and I will end up here. I strongly recommend that you order pork and rice, dumplings(veg or shrimp) and the sesame pancake with vegetables. The great thing is that the portions are sizable, and the food goes down great the day after, while recovering from a hangover. Ironically, the noodles are not that good, so don’t order them. Anything else, you’re golden.

Pretty good noodle soup, the noodle taste like they were handmade, I don’t know if they are. The soup broth was good and over all the presentation was yummy. And that’s what I like to see in a noodle soup. The scallions pancakes was good but what I didn’t like was it was little bit more on the oily side. I would definitely go back for more noodle soup in future coz they open late night.

Before talking about the noodles themselves, I’ll say they were significantly more expensive than most Chinese places in the area, so I expected that they would be better then average. They were better. I had a pork lo Mein which was very good. There were a couple minor areas of concern per the below, but I would go back. I was a little bit nervous the way my take-out order started at M Noodle. I asked if there were green onions in the lo mein, and the guy I spoke to didn’t seem to understand the question, though there didn’t appear to be any language barrier. He then asked someone else, and there still seemed to be a lot of confusion. I got a little bit more nervous when my order took very long to make, despite the fact that they weren’t busy at all, and that it is always a very fast dish elsewhere… I wasn’t in a hurry, I just was a little bit nervous about the way things were going.

Definitely a big MEH on this one. Service was fine, don’t expect a smile or anything though. I’ve eaten here before about 2 years ago and really enjoyed it. I guess it’s gone downhill. We ordered the duck as an appetizer. It had clearly been warmed up as part of it were cold. It was too salty, dry, and the fat was not crispy so it wasn’t pleasant to eat. The roast pork buns were mediocre. I’ve had better from a food truck in Flushing. We ordered the marinated beef sesame pancake too, which last time I was here, really enjoyed. The pancake itself was great. Crispy on the outside with toasted sesame seeds, and soft on the inside. The beef was TERRIBLE. Dry slices of fatty beef that wouldn’t even bite off in my mouth, so bad. The house special low-mein(which I loved last time) was greasy and only warm. I could only choose one meat instead of having a selection of different meats like I’m familiar with in low-mein dishes, so I chose the roast pork. It came with a lot of it which was good. My boyfriend ordered the shrimp with lobster sauce. It was bland and more like a soup with way too many peas. Not nice at all. The bill came to $ 50 which we thought was way over-priced for the quality of the food. If we had thoroughly enjoyed everything then we wouldn’t mind paying that, but for average Chinese take-out style food it was a rip off. I won’t be going back anytime soon :(

Make sure you tip really well or the delivery guy will harass you. No Joke. We have been ordering on and off from M Noodle for years now. Not too frequently as they used to be phone call orders only. We are suckers for the convenience of grub hub! Recently we noticed they are now on grub hub and we’ve added them into our more regular take out spots. With good reason, we really like the food! However after a long day of work we order something really small to be delivered. Going through the motions we tip 10% on grub hub without even thinking or looking which comes to a $ 1.80 tip. As previously mentioned I was actually harassed about it by their delivery guy. He quoted my $ 1.80 tip to my face, gave me a sarcastic«Wow thanks!» and practically threw my food at me. Important to note when we had a $ 40.00 order 2 days earlier and tipped 20% there was no issue. To be honest it was my mistake. I do pride myself in tipping fairly and I wasn’t paying attention when I placed the order. However whether I’m being cheap or if its an innocent mistake there is no reason/excuse to ever berate a customer. Especially as we have been ordering from M noodle a lot in recent days. Called the M Noodle to complain, they didn’t offer any resolution nor did they seem to care too much, but I could have guessed that without calling… Not even comfortable eating my food. who knows if he decided to seek out some revenge by doing something weird to it. Do yourself a favor and eat in or pick up. Their food is great, a nicer upgrade to your standard whole in the wall chinese food spots at a decent price. They also have a lot of veggie options. But after this encounter I think I’ll stay away.
