This is a hidden gem in Bensonhurst; particularly their family meal. We got a whole chicken, a basket of fries and sausage pieces, an avocado salad, maduros, and rice and beans for $ 26! That is a steal that feeds 4 people! Their other dishes look appetizing too and I would love to try. If you’re in the neighborhood and wanting some cheap eats in a clean and pretty restaurant, then this is the place to go! It’s a total plus that service is impeccable. The waiters are so courteous and nice that high-end Manhattan restaurants waiters should come get some training from these folks.

Food sucks. Rice has no taste. Beans suck. Chicken was too salty. And they didnt give me my fries when i ordered fries and when i called back, the girl said i didnt order fries but apparently the boss packed them. Poor customer service so therefore i give this place one star.

I don’t normally give out 5 stars but this place really deserves it. The place itself is not that big but they were able to accommodate my party of 10. The service was great and the waiters and waitresses were attentive. As for the food, we ordered: calamari and combo super granja. Each and every dish that came out was delicious and devoured. The calamari had crisp breading on the outside and squid that had a snap as you bit into it. When the combo super came out, it was like thanksgiving dinner because you got 6 plates of mouth watering food! The rotisserie chickens were cooked to perfection, avocado salad with fresh lettuce, tomatoes, onions and avocados, sweet plantains were crispy on the outside and soft once you bite into it, can’t go wrong with french fries and hot dogs which were cut up into little pieces and mixed in with the fries, and last but not least the rice and beans. It was such a pleasant surprise how amazing the meal turned out to be and how much cheaper it was than pio pio. If you’re around the area, I definitely recommend a visit!

Reading the reviews of how delicious this place is does not mean anything. You should just get your bum here, and give this place a try. This is 1000000000% better than the Pio Pio Peruvian restaurants I have tried(Manhattan & Kings H’Way Brooklyn). My husband & I came here yesterday for dinner, and this place was exceptionally spectacular, and the food & service amazed us. WOW! We ordered to share: 1) Ceviche Mixto, 2) Fried Yucca, 3) La Granja Combo(avocado salad, maduros, 2 rotisserie chicken, hotdog w/french fries), 4) Flan. All the foods were so damnnnn delicious! The ceviche was to die for — my husband who has eaten a fair share of ceviche said it is top notch. I am not much of a ceviche connoisseur as my husband, but it was spectacular! The fried yucca dipped w/their spicy avocado sauce was full of taste, and one of my favorites(thought the yucca fries were better than the french fries). The la granja combo was worth the money spent! Loved the avocado salad(light and refreshing), maduros(savory & sweet), the rotisserie chickens were so tender & juicy, and the hot dog was good(french fries ok). Flan was delicious as well, but not the best I had. We loved this place, and will happily come back to eat here soon again. YUM! P.S — the waitress was delightful — sweet, helpful & very friendly

WELOVELOVELOVE this place. Menu is reasonably priced. Everything we tried was delicious. I had the skirt steak with rice, beans, fries, etc. and was worried they would overcook the steal. Nope they did an amazing job and cooked it just right. This is our new favorite place in the neighborhood. My mouth is watering just thinking about eating there again.

If you think you’re going split dessert with you’re date, you’re wrong. Get your own. You’re not going to want to share it. Imagine a tree that grows rotisserie chicken. This place picks them at their peak ripeness, making for a perfectly succulent chicken. Like hot sauce? They’ve got it. And it’s good. Just smother that sauce on your chicken like the bad bird she is. I need a cigarette after that meal.

Strangely, we wound up here because our usual Peruvian chicken place had run out of chicken. Go figure! I’m glad we stopped in. The chicken was moist and flavorful. Fries with hot dogs were crispy and the maduros sweet and almost sugar-coated. Excellent salad with avocado. Good rice and beans accompanied the feast. All for $ 24. Ended off with rich tres leches. A must return.

Love this place… Food is yummy, the staff is friendly, and the atmosphere cozy. Have been here several times and have not yet been disappointed. Also great when ordering delivery. Definitely one of the best places to eat in the area.

I have visited this restaurant on five separate occasions. The food is mostly flawless as far as Peruvian food of this price range goes. My family loves this place. My favorite dishes are the ceviche mixto, the fried plantains, the mussels and of course the chicken with jalapeño sauce. The service is good and quick enough. If you want to take your friends or co-workers to a Peruvian restaurant, this place is a very good choice because the variety of dishes on the menu will satisfy any taste. The only issue I found with this place is that the wooden benches along the wall are narrow and uncomfortable. I would recommend that the restaurant does away with them and replaces them with chairs. Also, this place is BYOB!!!

I’m sorry, but I have to demote this place to 3 stars. I went back, hoping to get the same deliciousness I experienced last year, but FAIL. Maybe I went on an «off» day, but the chicken was SOSALTY and not so moist and tender anymore. Even the green sauce wasn’t as flavorful. What happened??? I still give you 3 stars because of my first dining experience there, but from this last time, it really deserved only 2. =\

A very pretty place with delightful fresh entrees and apps. We started with a light and refreshing avocado salad, simple but nicely dressed. We shared an appetizer of potato, meat, olives and raisins. Yum. And I had the paella with mussels, shrimp, and crawfish. Nicely seasoned, reasonably priced. Finished up tres leches Not too sweet just right. I really liked the vibrant color and décor and music. A very relaxing and enjoyable dinner. Good value for money and very warm and friendly service.

Oh my god. I am SO happy that they fixed their ventilation issue. It used to stank in here. The smell was unbearable. I decided to give La Granja another chance. I’ve been back to this place 3 times already this month and boy oh boy. The«ceviche mixto» is just as amazing as ever. The«chicha morada,» mmmm. The«leche de tigre» is also excellent. I really don’t understand the people who come here and order the«salchipapas» or the fried egg/fries dish. Yes, I am judging you. I would not recommend the fried calamari because it was way too deep fried. This place is worth my 1 hour drive from Queens!

I came here on Valentine’s day with my love. The service was fast and friendly. They check up on you every once in a while and tend to your every need. The price and portions are so worth it. I ordered the Combo La Granja for my love and I and it was so much food. We couldn’t even finish half of the entire order. It comes with a whole chicken, yellow rice and beans, fried plantains, a fresh salad, fries with hotdog slices on top and this side of freshly made smooth green sauce. Every dish was flavorful. The chicken meat could easily separate from the bone. It was juicy and moist. The fries were crispy. All the food came hot and fresh. The ambiance was casual with dimmed lights and lit candles on all the tables. It was a comfortable atmosphere. Only thing is the restaurant was a bit chilly even with the entrance/exit door closed. Other than that I would definitely come back again.

Very similar to Pio Pio in terms of tasting, but I still prefer that better. Not to say this is bad, but there’s a different twist to it. The chicken here is good but I find that it’s not as tasty do it depends on your preferences. The fries and hot dog were alright. It was more on the salty side. We also had the non fried plantains which was deliciously made! I loved how soft it was. As for the drinks, we ordered a pitcher of red sangria here which tasted more like juice in the beginning, then we had the staff add more alcohol in it. After that was done, it tasted more traditional like how sangria should taste. Staffs here were very lovely and made the night very special for us as we were celebrating my friends birthday! Luckily on the day we went, it was not crowded; therefore seating was not a problem.

I came here to eat for a friend’s birthday and we basically had the restaurant to ourselves. It’s a small restaurant with around four tables but the customer service is great. Due to it being a small restaurant the server was really attentive and checked back with us on several occasions. The food was really good, and the portions were generous. The price wasn’t expensive either. The restaurant was very clean and so was the bathroom which is a plus(I’m a little iffy about restaurants with dirty bathrooms). We ordered about two or three combos and shared it with about 9 people. I believe we also ordered three extra whole chickens. It was more than enough food for everyone. We actually weren’t able to finish everything! Overall, this is a great place to try out and I would recommend it. Only complaint I would have is the location of the restaurant.

La Granja was a nice gem to find, only complaint was the wait time. There were only 4 total tables in the restaurant, and they took 20 minutes to take our order(not good when you’ve got a pregnant woman at the table). For dinner, we ordered: — Papa Rellena, B+ — Maduros(small), A — Combo La Granja, A(you get so much food with this, more than enough for 2 – 3 people) — Choclo Con Queso, C Very happy with the pricing of La Granja as well. We’e been back a few times already since our first visit. The green sauce is delicious, and basically goes with everything. We aren’t cocktail drinkers, but saw quite a few other tables who were throwing back a few drinks per person.

I’ve been living in Bensonhurst for most of my life so far and I never noticed that there was a Peruvian restaurant just 10 – 12 blocks from where I live until a friend of mine told me about La Granja Peruana Restaurant and how they have very delicious roasted chicken. I met up with a girl friend at La Granja Peruana one night for dinner and decided to try out this roasted chicken my friend recommended. We met on a Thursday night and it was quite empty inside the restaurant. There’s not much décor and service was mediocre. As for the food, my friend and I had the following — Palta Rellena De Pollo(Half avocado stuffed with chicken and potato salad) — the chicken and potato salad was light and could have used just a tiny bit of salt. I thought it was a little silly that there was saltine crackers in the dish and the presentation needs work. Yuca Frita O Sanchochada(fried yuca) — The fried yucca was enormous, piping hot, crispy, crunchy, and soft inside as it should be. I enjoyed this very much. ¼ roasted chicken and a house salad — This was my friend’s entrée and I honestly felt it was little small. I’m not sure how she got full, but her entrée did look great and the salad was full of vibrant colors. ¼ roasted chicken with yellow rice and beans — this was my entrée. The presentation and plating could use work because it looks like they just dumped the sauce on the plate and that’s it. The roasted chicken I had was a little overcooked/dry. The yellow rice and beans was scrumptious, seasoned just right! So I like that La Granja Peruana is close by, inexpensive, and it’s different. The service and décor can be improved. The food wasn’t excellent or over the top, but I would consider giving this restaurant another shot. Their Choclo con Queso(Peruvian corn on the cob served with fresh white cheese) sounds really tempting and delicious so that would be something I would like to try on my next visit.

We came here for dinner Friday night and it was okay packed. The restaurant is kind of in the middle of nowhere, like closer to the residential area than the crowed area a few avenues or streets away. The restaurant is nicely decorated and I like the vibe. We ordered: M2. Ceviche De Pescado fresh fish marinated in spicy lemon juice, served with onions, lettuce, sweet potato and corn on the cob. C2. ¼ Pollo, Papas Fritas Y Ensalada O Arroz Amarillo Y Habichuelas ¼ chicken with french fries and a house salad, or yellow rice and beans. I had the C2. the ¼ chicken was just right for me. The chicken had just the right flavor. I had it with yellow rice and beans and I was very full. For M2. there was a lot of fish and it was fresh with a tangy & sour sauce.
