I almost don’t want to write this out of fear that Raymond will get too busy! But he’s a rare gem, the way I remember mechanics to be when I was a kid — knowledgeable and there to help you not gauge you. He knows his stuff inside out and will fix it right the first time — fast and insanely reasonably priced. Once you go to him you’ll dump your old mechanic.

Ray was my mechanic and is one of the most knowledgeable and patient I’ve come across. I know nothing about my car but he took the time to explain all the issues he detected in detail and did so in layman’s terms that I understood. You can tell from your first conversation with him that he’s an honest guy that is VERY experienced. He also remembered what kind of car I drove when I walked in months later. (impressive)
I will always bring my car there as long as I’m in Brooklyn. They’ve also given me a couple non-​charged services, helping me remove my seats, or letting me borrow a tool, etc.

Raymond is both knowledgeable and helpful. He took the time to explain exactly what was going on and what he would need to do to fix the vehicle. (There is an intermittent problem with the headlights, and no one has been able to figure it out).
This is in stark contrast to the service I received at the car’s dealership (Chevrolet-​Saturn of Harlem; man, I need to write them a terrible review next). They simply drove it around for several miles, then returned it, saying there was nothing they could do because the headlights worked at the time. And of course, the vehicle’s warranty expired the next day.
Raymond, on the other hand, used equipment to detect electrical system errors and pinpoint the problem. He’s a god among mechanics. An honest one, too.
