Gourmet and falafel are just two words that is never thought to mix before today, but I tried their sample platter with regular and mushroom flavors and I was highly impressed. A must-go for anyone that is into Middle Eastern cuisine.

I love falafel, so I pretty much will go anywhere to give it a try. I have seen Kulushkat on many occasions passing around the Atlantic Terminal/Barclays Center. Unfortunately, after having finally given it a try, I was not impressed. I order the falafel sampler,(which in my book a sampler allows one to sample different types of something, so why was I given a sampler with only one type of falafel). The falafel had no flavor whatsoever and neither did the tahini it came with. I also ordered the seasoned fries which was actually really good(it was my favorite part of what I ordered). Then there was the iced tea which literally was iced tea(without sugar) and the pickles which were okay, but definitely not worth the $ 6, it cost for a side of them. If I ever come back it would be just for the fries.

I think it’s really important to know that the people who run this place are really nice, friendly and helpful for starters. I like that they use kosher meat only and are a family-run place — it doesn’t hurt that I live about a block away! It’s very authentic Israeli food — it feels like a little place in Tel Aviv — but cleaner! The chicken dishes are delicious and the serving sizes are big! We really like their salads too. But the latkes for Hanukkah this year were absolutely amazing. Heavy enough to satisfy but lacey around the edges to make them look so pretty. The price was fantastic — best I could find in the city. I’m looking forward to getting to the Lefferts location too. I bet the shakshuka is great.

I stopped eating falafel years ago due to too many bad experiences. Kulushkat has just rekindled my relationship with falafel. This Sandwich had a delicious red cabbage salad with warm falafel and eggplant inside. The red cabbage salad, eggplant, hummus, and tahini were all seasoned to perfection and took entire sandwich into its own realm. There are a few seats inside. Takeout is the way to go.

Hands down the best falafel I’ve had in New York so far. The salad was perfectly balanced with the falafel in the pita, and the side tabbouleh was the best I’ve ever had. The spicy was perfect hot for me, so probably quite hot for most tastebuds.

Ordered the original falafel and fries. The falafel was filled with tahini, red cabbage. They definitely don’t skimp on the servings. The only downfall was that the place small so it isn’t good for a big group.

This place is ok but I’m not sure I would order again. I got the Gilly Falafel pita for delivery. It had decent flavor but it arrived cold so probably didn’t taste as good as it could have. They also gave me white pita when I ordered whole wheat. Zaytoons is better.

Outstanding food, wonderful service and really great atmosphere! I ordered the spicy falafel pita — the falafel was freshly prepared with high quality ingredients and was served with a delicious cabbage salad, tahini sauce and a wholewheat pita.

Just had a poor customer experience with this place and their delivery guy, too bad because I do like their food. Ended up canceling my order.

I’ve eaten here lots of times, and had all the pitas. They are all great! The falafel is amazing, the chicken pita is very moist, and the extra time is worth the wait for a balanced, properly assembled pita sandwich Then, I got a diagnosis of celiac disease and my world ended. But Kulushkat was super friendly about gluten-free options(no judgement during ordering), and they recommended substitutions for the pitas(amazing veggie dippers), and also prepared a super tasty falafel plate for me. Same awesome taste, new non-gluten form factor!!! Woo woo!

Gotten carry out from here twice now– solid. The falafel were good the first time(they have three to choose from), got chicken kabob platter the second time. The second time though(10⁄6), everything was pretty over-salted(kabob, hummus, salads). But the kabob was still good(and not dry) despite the salt. So minus a star for the salt, but overall quality food, reasonable(but not cheap) prices, caring owner/management… I hope it survives.

Small spot but great for lunch. Had the Sharwarma/Falafel sandwich. Great sandwich and great value, a little too much red cabbage for me but still ate it all.

I really enjoyed the meal. I had a Chicken Shawarma Platter. It was a delivery order from GrubHub(for the record, I’m not able to leave a review there, so I am doing it here). a) The food was tasty, especially the hummus. It’s probably one of the best hummus(es?) I’ve had. It was rich and creamy, and chunky(I mean this in a good way), in a way that made you immediately realize this is not your run-of-the-mill hummus. b) I think the cabbage was a nice touch, and it tasted great. c) The food was delivered about 10 mins earlier than the GrubHub estimate. I’d definitely order from here again.

My new addiction! I have ordered the spicy falafel twice this week, love it — spicy and complex and absolutely delicious. I also got the some items to take for lunch to work the next day — chicken skewer platter of which I only ended up eating the hummus, pita and tahini since it was just too much food for me. I really enjoyed those, though. I have the hummus and eggplant platter in my fridge now so can’t review it just yet. Delivery via Grubhub had been very fast both times, no complaints there.

I’m a longtime Mamoun’s loyalist, but after discovering Kulushkät’s spicy falafel, my heart has changed. Kulushkät makes the best falafel in NYC. Straight up, no denying. Try it, and you’ll agree. What I really love about this place, aside from being both inexpensive and delicious, is that there’s clearly thought behind all of their ingredients and preparation. This concept was not just thrown together. Great job.

We were on our way to a Nets game and decided to stop here for a quick bite before the game. Unfortunately, the trip was anything but quick. We had to wait 6 minutes to order, and then waited 15 – 20 minutes for our food. Falafal should really be an in and out in 10 minutes kind of place, so we were pretty annoyed. On top of that, they kept saying that they couldn’t accept our CC. So they had to write down our CC number and«charge it later». We got the charge later that night, so I’m not sure what was going on there –but it was sketchy. And they weren’t even nice or apologetic about it — which really annoyed me. The food was fine. We ordered the Spicy Falafal(not very spicy, by the way), but I wouldn’t go back to this place. I was too annoyed with the service and the wait. There are other falafal options in the city.

here’s a quick review for you, ready? Falafel — great Shawafel — awesome name & super delicious Madboukha Salad — really fantastic — spicy but flavorful but, avoid the grape leaves, they’re from a can and the strawberry mango smoothie, tastes fake & plasticy.

If you eat like a 2 year old this is the place to go… Now if you eat like an adult Do not enter! Way to pricey :/got a chicken shawarma plater and man it cost 11.00 for what just a little cabbage, very little rice and 4 tiny pieces of chicken… Never going back! This place is a joke and then I ask to put chicken separate from the cabbage n rice n salad so can heat up when I get home and they said they can’t do that! And now I know why because it’s literally 4 chopped up tiny pieces of chicken… Sorry but when it comes to food and the price being ranked up that’s not right… That’s called a rip off. Ok I’m done.

I’ve had lunch there approximately 5 times. They are very nice and their falafel is really tasty. Everything is made on demand. The sauce is very fresh. There are a few high chairs to have lunch in the place. Better than any of the Atlantic center restaurants.
