Fresh food for a very reasonable price, short waiting times and nice staff. I had the hummus as starter and the falafel sandwich. Both were excellent, although the hummus a hint thin for my taste. But overall 5⁄5.

Usually when I see ‘Best ________in Brooklyn’ I’m all like: yeahhhhh whateva! But it’s true! I think it’s even better than Oasis! The staff is super friendly too and they have some other veggie options I can’t wait to try!

I don’t like giving less than nice reviews on Unilocal,as I feel it shows cowardice. Ugh unfortunately I’m annoyed and disappointed. At my most recent experience. We waited nearly 2 hours for our food, which of course showed up not only, cold and soggy– but was also wrong. I called to track my order, and the person I spoke to was apologetic and said they would remake my food and send it to me immediately so it would be hot and fresh– and that just didn’t happen. We ended up with the original order that, as mentioned above was cold soggy and incorrect. But after 2 hours we were too hungry and frustrated to care.

new favorite lunch spot for me. The falafel sandwich is super big and yum, little kick of spice if you want it too. For a mere $ 5 its the ticket for a quick bite. Looking forward to trying everything else there on the menu.

The $ 4.99 falafel wrap is one of the best I ever had! Great deal for lunch and always made fresh. Sometimes they even give me an extra piece from the pan to sample. I have had it spicy and regular but prefer it spicy. The soups are really good as well.

I eat lunch here at least once a week. Felix, Henry and Pini are super-welcoming and friendly. Sabih sandwich is the jam. All the food is homemade… and delicious.

This place is unreal, this is easily the best falafel I’ve ever had. The ingredients are insanely fresh, the staff was attentive and got my order right on, keeping in mind my dietary restrictions. There was also this girl with a dog who got a smoothie that looked outta-sight. Nothing in the neighborhood comes close to this kind of quality.

Healthy, made-to-order food at killer low prices. Walked in there looking to taste their popular falafel after my friends raved about the freshness and taste. Wow — it definitely didn’t disappoint. Straight delic! While waiting for my falafel I couldn’t help but notice a few scrumptious smoothies being whipped up. You already know what happened next… ordered not one but two of those bad boys. So fresh and flavorful! If you can’t decide what to order feel free to ask the chefs who on numerous occasions suggested items for incoming customers. Def going back to HCK. They get my vote.

Second visit! This neighborhood needs a hidden gem like this. The décor is improving and food is always delicious. The falafel sandwich is absolutely to die for and the smoothies and juices are decently priced which is rare for a healthy spot. If you do not know what to order, feel free to ask the staff as they will recommend their signature items which I’ve never been disappointed. Keep up the good work HCK and I will be back again!

This place is the PITTS! Its is so ghetto up in there. I was going to stop in for a smoothie, as I live on the block, and I couldn’t even get in the door due to an enormous amount of smoke coming from a bunch of hood-rats sitting in the doorway smoking. It was disgusting! This isn’t the first time I ran into problems there. There are always young kids sitting outside talking smack and smoking. Not much of a ‘Healthy Kitchen’ in my book. The place has gone downhill. Seems dirty and is just disruptive to the neighborhood. BIGTHUMBSDOWN!!!

Two hours to get a salad and smoothie in the middle of the day. Called an hour in and the guy said he’d send me free food and drive the order himself so I wouldn’t wait long. Got no free food and had to wait another hour. Got my food — a Greek salad with a ton of hot chicken and sautéed onions plopped on top of the salad which of course makes it wilt. Oh and no dressing. Never again. I’m so pissed.

Yaaaaaaaassssss. I’m really confused by some of the bad reviews on this page because i’ve only had good experiences with Healthy Choice Kitchen. The falafel sandwich is so dope, the balls are fried fresh and for only $ 5 you can pretty much have a full dinner. The other sandwich i’ve tried is the sabih sandwich, which is just straight up goodness. It’s eggplant based and there’s quite a lot going on inside which I like… like pickles, tomatoes, cucumber, hummus, tahini, etc. Juices are all good, it’s a refreshing change to get fresh juice for $ 6. I’m from S’pore and fresh juice is literally $ 2 back home… so I always feel cheated in America. Salads are good. I usually get the apple + walnut salad or the kale salad. Both are fresh and come with plenty of ingredients so it looks super colourful! I love their cookies too. They’re pretty generic to be honest but they hit the spot perfectly. Word of caution, they mark up the prices on Seamless. I always end up dragging myself out of my apartment to walk~half a block~to the restaurant, but hey I save 5 bucks.

I love this great middle eastern cuisine place. They serve incredibely tasty food. Their handmade falafels are worth to try. Their salads are light and healthy, and their hummus is amazing.

I actually ordered from here a lot because everything has tasted great. HOWEVER, I’ve consistently had serious bathroom problems within 24 hours of eating their food. I thought maybe it was a coincidence, but then, 2 days ago I placed my usual order: sabih sandwich with a green kale salad. I ended up having THEWORSTFOODPOISONINGOFMYLIFE. I was sh*tting and vomiting all day. I am obviously never eating here again.

Ordered a veggie burger and an «Large» Greek salad form this place for lunch. It took over an hour for the order to be delivered. For a simple ready made salad and a veggie burger. The«Large» salad was not large at all. In fact it was delivered in a small/medium sized to go container than you get at most salad places. Very disappointed and will not order take out from this place again. UPDATE: Contacted GrubHub about the order, who got back to me right away(great customer service, thank you.) The customer support rep apologized on behalf of Healthy Choice Kitchen, credited $ 5 to my account and informed me that the manager was very sorry about the delay and the small salad. So sorry that he refunded $ 2 off of my $ 40 order(of a small salad, veggie burger, juice and a small desert)! WOWTHANKS. A whole $ 2! You shouldn’t have. No really. you shouldn’t have. Its insulting. Anyway… the quality of the food isn’t bad. But not the greatest when it comes to customer support and satisfaction.

Was very excited to find a restaurant that had good reviews, delivered, and an abundance of «healthy» options. I have never written a review but feel the need to do so immediately after dealing with this place. I ordered the guacamole wrap and the super healthy smoothie. Delivery took over an hour and a half, and upon arrival the guacamole wrap(which includes eggs) was almost to the point of frozen, not lukewarm, not room temperature, freezing including the foil surrounding the wrap. The smoothie was so-so, I’ve had worse, but $ 8 for 16oz was certainly overpriced. Based on the reviews, I had hoped the deliciousness of the smoothie would justify the markup… not the case. Glad I decided not to pull the trigger on the soup as well. I was hoping this would be my new delivery spot. Unfortunately this is the worst experience I’ve had in Bushwick in three years.

I am changing my original review thanks to the owner and his incredible efforts… Seriously I am so impressed and it is clear now that the owner cares so much about his business, especially customer service. He called me immediately the following day that I did not receive my order and not only made sure I get my money back, but also arranged for me to still get the order I asked for(and added in several extra items– I was not charged for any of this)!! He also informed me that the delivery man who didn’t deliver my food the night before was let go that night due to his actions and he insisted he do whatever he could to accommodate me for this bad experience. The owner called me from his personal cell to coordinate a time and day that worked for me, and apologize profusely. I am big on customer service and this man has really impressed me. He told me he valued me as a customer and did not want to loose my business, wow! I will ABSOLUTELY become a regular here. In regards to the food– I loved the strawberry and banana smoothie, the watermelon and pineapple was very fresh, and the pita with tahini and hummus was great! Cannot wait to order here again: D

Rudest person we have ever dealt with over the phone. Not only were we left waiting and wondering why our seamless order never came to us, but when we called to figure out what was going on, we were told that our order just wasn’t going to be coming(no reason given) and he brushed us off like it was no big deal…“dont worry about it, you’ll get your money back from seamless anyway”, and he just hangs up. When we called back to figure out what the hell happened, he said«no one’s coming, what do you want me to do about it?» and he ends the call again. Third call, we ask to speak to a manager or anyone that is not HIM, and he says«what, you want to speak to the manager at home? How about you just speak to our dishwasher?»…hangs up again. Thereafter it was just straight to their generic voicemail. Terrible person, terrible business. We reported it to seamless.

Ever since this place appeared on Graham Avenue more than a year ago, I had a funny feeling about it. Why was it closed on Saturdays, the day of the week when people most need a refreshing smoothie? Why had none of my friends in the area, even the health nuts, bothered to visit? It’s located across the street from New Mexico Place, the best of the area’s older Mexican establishments, so I had many chances to ponder these questions. And yet, never did I deviate from my regular Mexican meal, until today. These questions finally had to be answered. During the course of my meal, I encountered even more strangeness: A ‘health food’ store that only serves regular soda A delivery man who repeatedly came in and out of the store, sat down at the counter and scratched instant lottery tickets A soundtrack of the hottest hits of 2011, including«Gernande» by Bruno Mars A side salad topped with six tasteless olives, complete with pits A hot sauce that was actually Chinese chili oil The falafel itself is cooked to order and really solid(More places should do this, although most falafel shops are so busy that it wouldn’t be practical. The benefits of being slow.) but the mix of chunky vegetables inside wasn’t any match for traditional Arab salads. It didn’t help that the person behind the counter was essentially incomprehensible in English. I asked for no pickles and instead received a filling with extra pickles. I also requests onion but instead got a side of hot sauce. I probably should have spoken in Spanish — lesson learned. At the end of the meal I thought I was told the total was $ 8.89 and gave the man a $ 10. It turned out the total was $ 10.89, but the man wouldn’t except my second $ 10. «Next time,» he said. Actually the falafel was $ 4.99 and my(quite refreshing strawberry and banana) juice $ 3.99 so the total should have been nine dollars and change. So a perceived act of kindness was actually being slightly less overcharged. How bizarre.

Good hummus. A really nice restaurant with Healthy food choices, this would be the perfect restaurant for a Vegetarian. I loved all the fresh daily ingredients and fruits that they have. I gotta say, so far this place have the best Falafel. Only on my second visit did I realized that this is a vegetarian restaurant. lol I tried the Chocolate Mousse and it tasted good, but way too sweet for me. The rice pudding was fine. The told me that they are going to try a new schedule of being open 24⁄6 closing only Saturdays. With restaurants like these, it is easier to become a vegetarian.
